Antisemitism is, quite simply, a feeling of hatred toward Jews, expressed through violent episodes such as the pogroms in Russia, the Holocaust in Germany, and also through words and writings—like the infamous On the Jews and Their Lies, written by Martin Luther, the father of the Protestant Reformation. This hatred often does not stem from an aversion to genetic lineage or ancestry. For example, the verses of hatred against Jews found in the Qur’an do not suggest that any Hamas fundamentalist has a genetic map of their victims in mind. The main factor that makes Jews targets is simply the fact that they are Jews. If any attack or criticism of Israel is often seen, in the common view of many, as an act of antisemitism, this is largely due to the terrorist acts committed by Hamas, in which Israel is perceived as synonymous with the Jewish people in its entirety and unity—just as someone might destroy an anthill to eliminate an ant infestation. Genetic lineage is not the determining factor. In fact, when Hitler proposed the “Final Solution,” it is unlikely that he had any genealogical knowledge of his victims. His actions appear to have been driven by a demonic element that hunted Jews simply for being Jews—even though they were not the only ones persecuted and murdered during the Holocaust.
I think this is one of the most dramatic quotes in the entire New Testament. The Christian zionists often ignore its meaning and its transcendental spiritual implications. It explains 2,000 years of history and it also has enormous prophetic significance.
The interpretation of Psalm 81 and other Psalms as referring to the modern Zionist state of Israel, especially among Catholics, is a symptom of the Masonic Anglo- American influence on Catholics who fit sacred Scripture to their political opinions and personal prejudices. They simply can't accept that Jesus is the Vine of Israel and that only those connected to the Vine can be called the people of God. There's actually a "Catholics for Israel" organisation which must be very well connected judging by the prominence of their website in search results for anything with the words "Catholic" and "Israel" in the search terms. I didn't bother visiting the website but my guess is that it's an American organisation. We can expect similar "non-profit" groups to appear in countries throughout the world where large sections of the population are Catholic. That would fit with the de-facto situation whereby Zionism (which has zero connection with God or Abraham) is being elevated to the status of the established religion of the USA. Do you think those Catholics realise that if the Apostles were alive today most of them would be Palestinian Catholics and their families in the West Bank would be under threat from European or American Zionist settlers? If the new Pope tries to actually implement the Church's preferential option for the poor, don't be surprised to see the same groups brand him as a Communist/Marxist sympathiser.
If Hamas and other fundamentalist groups wish to annihilate Israel as if it were a global-scale representation of the Jewish people, this only serves to make hatred against Jews and hatred against the State of Israel seem like the same thing. As for the post allegedly influenced by Freemasonry, I would say that your posts defending the errors of the previous pontificate are the clearest example of that, since they served to distract from the prophetic fulfillment of the apostasy foretold in Fatima—an apostasy largely driven by the infiltration of Freemasonry into the Church during the 20th century.
The State of Israel, established in 1948, could easily be separated from the global Jewish community that has not converted, if its enemies did not act so fiercely as to make it seem that the two are one and the same.
Romans 11:28-29 28 As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, 29 for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.
I think it's just about replacing Netanyahu because he's toxic. The vast majority of Israelis support the genocide as do their bought and paid for US politicians in both parties. Israel is a US proxy. The US will continue supporting it. I believe that Trump is serious about turning Gaza into the Rieviera of the Middle East. He'll probably let a few Christian live there to take the bad look off it and let the likes of Rubio sell it to their "Catholics for Israel" voters. Most of the Palestinians will be pushed elsewhere with promises of money and safety, probably funded by the Qataris and Saudis. Mrs. Adelson can open a casino in Trump Towers Gaza and the filthy rich from Manhattan devoid of a conscience will have no trouble living in mansions built on a covered over graveyard. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's the impression I get. There's already some kind of deal between the Turks, the Americans and the head chopper ruling Syria that no doubt will include an accommodation with if not recognition of Israel. American security guarantees to oil rich Muslim rulers and economic arm twisting of the rulers of poor Muslim countries will get results in time for the US mid term elections. I think that Trump and Alan Dersowicz (I'm sure that's now how he spells his name) are on good terms. I'm reminded of a discussion I watched years ago where Dersowicz's solution for Israel was to pay the Palestinians to move elsewhere. Trump says there are countries willing to take the Palestinians. I happened across a comment some time last year about a very large tract of land in Argentina which is owned by Jews. I can't be certain but I think the person posting the comment said something about a lot of activity in that area. I don't recall the name of the area but I think it included the word Roses but I could be wrong. Don't be surprised to see some non-Arab country with economic problems agree to take dislocated Palestinians. This world truly is a vale of tears for far too many people.
Paul places both the Jews who came before the fall of Israel and those who came after into the same category: they are enemies of the Gospel, yet beloved because of the election. Similarly, the enemies of Israel, through Islamic fundamentalism, lump together the modern State of Israel and the Jewish people in such a way that it becomes difficult to distinguish between the two. If any covenant between God and Israel has been preserved because of God's call to Abraham, this does not mean that Jews can be saved while rejecting Christ and the Church. It means that God will not allow their complete annihilation until the end of time, but He will permit their enemies (who also persecute Christians) to have power up to a certain point—as a divine punishment across generations for the self-condemning words spoken during the Passion of Our Lord. In fact, election is radically distinct from conversion when one considers how many years God endured Paul as a Jew persecuting the Church.
There is a difference between Zionism and being a Jew. Once you differentiate between the two you can see how anti-semitism is weaponized. Jews and Muslims never had the issues they did in Israel until the balfour agreement.
Here's a good article, written in 2018: https://catholicexchange.com/church-new-israel/ I'm quoting as much of the text as I can fit into a single post. The full article is available at the link to Catholic Exchange. It's really worth reading. There's nothing anti-Semitic about it and certainly doesn't deny or downplay the fact that the Jews have a special place in God's heart and he won't abandon them. How The Church is the New Israel The Catholic Church has traditionally understood itself to be the new Israel (Catechism of the Catholic Church 877). Just as Israel was God’s people in the Old Testament, the Church is his people now, and to many in our culture, this sounds extremely arrogant and possibly even anti-Semitic. It seems like we’re saying that God has rejected the Jews and chosen a new people to replace them. However, that couldn’t be further from the truth. With St. Paul, the Church affirms that God has not rejected his people from the Old Testament (Romans 11:1-2), and the way we understand our position as the new Israel involves a lot more nuance than simply saying that the Church has replaced the Jews in God’s eyes. So what exactly does this mean? How exactly can we say that we are the new Israel without disparaging the “old” Israel? Old Testament Background To begin, let’s go back to the Old Testament and see what the prophets said Israel would be like once the Messiah came: “Yea, at that time I will change the speech of the peoples to a pure speech, that all of them may call on the name of the Lord and serve him with one accord. From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, the daughter of my dispersed ones, shall bring my offering.” (Zephaniah 3:9-10) “Thus says the Lord of hosts: Peoples shall yet come, even the inhabitants of many cities; the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, ‘Let us go at once to entreat the favor of the Lord, and to seek the Lord of hosts; I am going.’ Many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to entreat the favor of the Lord. Thus says the Lord of hosts: In those days ten men from the nations of every tongue shall take hold of the robe of a Jew, saying, ‘Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’” (Zechariah 8:20-23) From these texts, we can see that even though God may have separated the Israelites from their neighbors in the past (Leviticus 20:26), he did not want them to remain that way forever. No, his ultimate goal was for the rest of the world to one day join them and become part of his people too. He wanted Israel to grow to encompass the entire human race and become a multi-ethnic and multi-national family that worshipped him and lived in accordance with his law. New Testament Fulfillment And today, we call that family the Church. As St. Paul explains, Israel is like a tree. The Jews of Jesus’ day, as ethnic Israelites, were all natural branches in this tree, and any Gentiles (non-Jews) who join the Church are like branches that are cut off from other trees and grafted into Israel. On the flipside, the Jews who rejected Jesus were cut off from their own family tree (Romans 11:17-24). As a result, we can see that the Church doesn’t simply replace Israel; rather, in a very real sense, the Church is Israel. It is the multi-ethnic and multi-national family made up of both Jews and Gentiles that the Old Testament prophets always said Israel would one day become. But we have to tread carefully here. As I said, the Jews who rejected Jesus were cut off from the “tree” of Israel, and this can still sound anti-Semitic if we don’t understand their history in the Bible. The Old Testament, the Scriptures of the Israelites themselves, is essentially the story of their continual disobedience and rebellion against God. Time and time again, they rejected God’s laws and went after other deities, and it eventually got so bad that God told a large portion of them, “[Y]ou are not my people and I am not your God” (Hosea 1:9). Then, in the very next verse, he promised to eventually save them and make them his people once again at some point in the future (Hosea 1:10).
In the Book of Revelation, the 144,000 are called from the 12 tribes of Israel, but Dan is not mentioned, probably because it is believed to produce the Antichrist. I don’t think this means that being a descendant of the tribes makes someone more special than an ordinary Christian who has been born again through the Blood of Christ, becoming a child of Abraham. However, I do believe it signifies a strong Jewish element in the final revival of the Church. Perhaps even a pope convert from Judaism will emerge at the last hour.
Among the finest witnesses against Zionism have been Jews. However, there is a very large proportion of Jews that have taken on Zionism and identified it with Biblical Judaism so that, as in the case of St John's Gospel, it is legitimate and not inaccurate to lump the Zionists as 'Jews', in so much as one is aware of the distinction. E. Michael Jones has done mountains of research on the history of the Jewish people and makes the most accurate distinctions between religion, ethnicity and 'race'. Primarily, the issue is a religious one in his opinion.
Always bearing in mind that there is only One Covenant, to which all, including the Jews, are called. As it stands, Jews may be defined as rejectors of the Covenant, because they had it and crucified It. Many are quite aware of that, as their Talmud makes clear. It isn't all from a position of ignorance.
Thank you for this hint. I was or am until now of the opinion that the zionists are abusing religion. But I am not familiar with this topic, I suppose E. Michel Jones might be interesting for me.
Zionists are indeed abusing religion. Many of them are atheists, yet invoke the authority of a God in which they disbelieve to justify their occupation of the land this 'non-existent' deity 'promised' them. That's a type of chutzpah, I think. There are others, who are believers, and in that case may be quite genuine, although they are religiously in error. The biggest religious error of Judaism is that, as is also the case in Islam, they have rejected Christ's injunction to "love your enemies". It is therefore religiously laudable for both of these religions to completely eliminate those whom they perceive as their enemies. To both religions, hatred is a virtue. Neither religion believes in forgiving 'those who trespass against us'. In this, Judaism is at least as extreme as Mohammedanism. It seems to me a truly great sign that the Jewish people, demographically very small in number, should play such an extremely significant role throughout human history and they are now more central than ever. Our destiny seems to depend on their rejection or acceptance of Christ. I would strongly recommend Jones' "Jewish Revolutionary Spirit". It's a large, expensive book (now divided in three volumes, I think-mine is single and not entirely up-to-date). It is not available in e-book form, so must be ordered by 'snail-mail'. It is well worth the read and is packed with supportive references. I think it has greatly helped me to understand what is going on in the world. I certainly read the news differently.
This is one of the most baffling passages in the NT. How did the people turn against Jesus so quickly, so decidedly in such a short period of time? It’s a mystery. We know that Rome didn’t care about Jesus or his teachings and may not even have been aware of his existence. The Sanhedrin however was an entirely different story. They were the ones who were hell bent on silencing that dangerous voice who was a threat to their authority and privileges just as they had silenced so many other prophetic voices who had come before. But here’s a clue: I read somewhere (may have been an alleged revelation from a mystic so take it with a grain of salt) that the Sanhedrin actually hired a few hundred people (prisoners, beggars, their own household workers, family members etc) to demand that Pilate put him to death. So the majority of the population was in fact unaware of his trial and what was going on behind the scenes until it was too late. Pilate was not a bad person. He actually did not want to put Jesus to death as the biblical passages clearly indicate. But he was weak and caved to the tremendous pressure from the Sanhedrin. His wife Claudia Procula however was a brave woman who was not afraid to defy the Sanhedrin and urge her husband to resist the pressure from those bloodthirsty wolves. A Roman citizen, she could simply have stayed out of the fray. Tradition has it that after Jesus death she left her husband in disgust and returned to Rome where she later converted to Christianity.
Yes for Pilate, he was torn between keeping the peace, due to his career, and not wanting to put an innocent man to death. His wife's dreams bothered him so.
This sounds exactly right given what we know today. They probably paid them with money from the temple treasury too. We know they paid judas with 30 pieces of silver. Also, they started to jail and attack the apostles for converting Jews. This is likely because they were losing power over the people, whom they got tithings from. Never did they have honest debate.
How I long for the fulfillment of the above, for it means the fulfillment of prophecy is at hand! Come Lord Jesus, come!
