The seed of the serpent cause a lot of pain. IIRC the Jews convert when Jesus comes down and serpent seed gets taken away.
The conversion of the Jews happens before the second coming of Jesus. From Matthew 23; https://bible.usccb.org/bible/matthew/23 37 Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how many times I yearned to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her young under her wings, but you were unwilling! 38 Behold, your house will be abandoned, desolate. 39 I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’ From the Catechism of the Catholic Church: https://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG0015/__P1V.HTM 674 The glorious Messiah's coming is suspended at every moment of history until his recognition by "all Israel", for "a hardening has come upon part of Israel" in their "unbelief" toward Jesus. St. Peter says to the Jews of Jerusalem after Pentecost: "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for establishing all that God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from of old." St. Paul echoes him: "For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?" The "full inclusion" of the Jews in the Messiah's salvation, in the wake of "the full number of the Gentiles", will enable the People of God to achieve "the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ", in which "God may be all in all".
Neat, do you know they might recognize Him? I know that currently a lot of Jews are waking up to Jesus from the book of Isaiah.
Yes. Israel had a LONG tradition of killing prophets. The Bible and tradition list a long list of prophets who were killed by the Sanhedrin and Jewish religious authorities, among whom. Zechariah Isaiah Jeremiah Elijah Add to that Our Lord himself killed by the Sanhedrin (the Romans didn’t care about prophets or religious beliefs of the peoples they conquered as long as they paid their taxes and did not pose a threat to Rome dominance) and after Him Stephen and James the Great. Why the Christian Zionists believe Israel has the right to kill 2 million Palestinians in Gaza is beyond me. Which of the prophets did your ancestors not persecute? They even killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One, whose betrayers and murderers you have now become. Acts 7:52
I wish to apologise for the rawness of some of my statements last night, written as they were in anger. Particularly, I apologise to Steve about my comments on the past misdeeds of the British Empire, which you can't be responsible for, but I am not apologising in the slightest for my criticism of your views in support of Israel. This issue makes me very angry. There is so little that can be done. In fairness, our Prime Minister and President have been among the few to stand up. In our house, we have decided to knowingly buy nothing from Israel, but that's just as likely to hurt Palestinians on slave wages.
I don't know. I read a Catholic article on the topic which pointed out that St. Paul wasn't converted by early Christians but by direct intervention from God. My own feeling is that the Blessed Mother will have a role in the conversion. The Semitic Jews are her blood relatives. There is a long held belief, based on Scripture, that the AC will be from the tribe of Dan but nobody knows what became of that tribe. Maybe they will be located/identified through some yet to be discovered method. Maybe it will turn out that they ended up in Eastern Europe where many of the settlers hail from. Meanwhile, Rachel must be weeping as she watches with horror at the actions of her children.
Its really interesting but there is a very close affinity in the lives of the Saints and the coming of Our Lady in her various Modern Apparitions as Queen of Prophets to that which happened to the Prophets in that both were heavily Persecuted by the religious authorities. Without exception when Our Lady appears in the last couple of centuries she has been ferociously attacked by High Church authorities. So much so that the late Father Rene Laurentin the foremost Marianologist of our days once commented that if Our Lady had appeared in Lourdes today she would have been rejected by the Church Powers that be out of hand. She wouldn't stand a chance. Saint Padre Pio is the best example of a modern saint who was totally crushed by the Church powers that be. Another good example is young Seminarians who have a devotion to Our Lady and who like to, for instance, say the rosary also get crushed. Apparently a huge number, in fact most vocations in Western Catholic countries are coming about through Medugorje. But as soon as a Seminarian mentions this the door gets shut in his face. So just as the Jews of old has a Faithful Remnant , the Essenes so too we Catholics have a Faithful Remnant , those who cling to Our Blessed Mother. The best example of this and the connection between the two being Mount Carmel.
The Lobby has as much power in Britain as the US - enough power to remove Corbyn from leadership of the Labour Party, replacing him with Starmer who, if he survives to the next election, will most likely be beaten by Farage. Hammer House of Horrors would have loved the lot of them. They control the media, which shapes public opinion. The British powers have had centuries of practice to hone their skills and it sure looks like the American apple didn't fall far from the tree. Ordinary people tend to grasp at anything that softens the horror of their country's worst misdeeds. I've heard mention that the BBC and Sky are actually doing some reporting that's borderline factual about Israeli atrocities. That could be a sign that Netanyahu's days are numbered.
I think you’re absolutely right. Considering that the BBC is the voice of the British government and it’s basically lies and propaganda it’s a remarkable change. Only a couple of weeks ago there was practically no reference to the Gaza genocide. Now it’s front page. I think Trump is going to dump Netanyahu. Without US and UK support Israel’s days are numbered.
Reading this thread again is interesting. The Jews won't see Jesus until they say blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. What could provoke that IDK, but Our Lady could do it and there is some precedent. Our Lady of Zeitoun comes to mind, where she appeared in Cairo to everyone. Oddly enough, this also happened in Hrushiv. I also wonder how big the awakening will be for the Jews if full disclosure ends up coming out regarding how bad they have been propagandized. One of the current prophecies I give a lot of weight to is the one allegedly given to the Mother of Carlos Acutis' mother by St. Francis in 2010. In it St. Francis tells her that all prophecy will be fulfilled once he becomes canonized. Oddly enough, Carlos was still alive at that time, so his cause had not yet even been started. It was also mentioned how sanctifying grace would fall on the youth, which seems to be happening. Since a couple of these prophecies are in the process of happening, it makes me think the third prophecy is as well.
Psalm 81:13-16 13 Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways! 14 I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries. 15 The haters of the Lord should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever. 16 He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.
I believe the message of this psalm is quite clear: God allows the enemies of Israel to gather against it to a certain extent as a punishment for the apostasy that began in the desert and reached its climax in the rejection of the Messiah. This will likely last until the end of time, echoing the words of Our Lord that Jerusalem would not know peace because it did not recognize the time of the Lord’s visitation. This does not mean that God will allow historical enemies of the Jewish people, such as Hamas—who already harbor a natural antisemitism—to succeed in destroying Israel. However, they will continue inciting the death of both Jews and Palestinians if Israel lays down its arms and continues to reject Jesus as the Messiah.
Exactly, there is so much in scripture, especially in the Gospels, referring to these God haters. We see today how prolific it is. I can't help but notice the parallels in the media/politics of today and how Jesus was treated by the authorities of his time. I am positive they knew Jesus was the Christ. First Herod gets worked up when it is announced Jesus is born, tries to kill him. So clearly they believed the prophecy. Jesus performs miracles and immediately they start the same propaganda tactics they use today. No common sense conversation or even honest debate ever. Jesus rides into Jerusalem a hero, but the authorities immediately begin propaganda and turn Jesus into an enemy. Jesus tells us the parable of the bad tenants, which is a direct shot at this compromised authority structure of God haters. I honestly wonder what would happen if this structure gets exposed for all to see, especially the Jews.
Most of the Jews in Israel are not semitic. Most members of Hamas are Semites. How can they be antisemitic? This is not to excuse their hideous acts, born primarily out of their misogynistic, heretical religion. There are also many Christians in Gaza, some of who can probably be traced back to Jews of Christ's time who converted to Christianity. Can they also be labelled naturally antisemitic? Is it antisemitic to rebel against the Jews who are systematically stealing your land, denying your common rights, imprisoning you in a concentration camp, then bombing you and starving you indiscriminately? If it is antisemitic to object to these things, and if antisemitism is such a great crime, it inevitably implies that the Jews can do as they will.
Every time I hear the word anti-semetic I tune out. It's not a real thing anymore because it doesn't follow a definition and only a narrative. A narrative where Zionists get carte blanche to do whatever they want because they are always the victim in every scenario.
Remember the awful curse the called upon themselves: But he said, “Why? What evil has he done?” They only shouted the louder, “Let him be crucified!”* i When Pilate saw that he was not succeeding at all, but that a riot was breaking out instead, he took water and washed his hands in the sight of the crowd, saying, “I am innocent of this man’s blood. Look to it yourselves.” 25And the whole people said in reply, “His blood be upon us and upon our children.”
