Bombing nuclear sites. Is this not a contradiction in itself?

Is it not good what Trump did? I'm confused and don't know what to think. I thought Iran are not the good guys.

Even without realizing it, Trump may have ignited the spark of the greatest crisis of his two terms, as the possible closure of the Strait of Hormuz would likely be used against him in the streets.

And they are bad because we bombed them? :D

If we consider that the USA and Israel are dropping bombs all over the Middle East, that Iran was innocent in this situation and that Israel launched attacks on two occasions, the first time they attacked the Iranian embassy in Syria and killed people and generals, and now this attack which was then supported by the USA and officially declared war on Iran, then I am afraid that the Iranians are not the bad guys in this situation.

Trump dragged the USA into a new war because of Israel, and the worst thing for me is when I see him calling for God's blessing on that attack.

Expect an increase in oil prices to at least $130, the economy will slow down, inflation, probably an increase in unemployment and the worst that the Middle East could explode.

Trump attacked Iran on the same date, June 22, when Nazi Germany attacked the USSR in 1941 and entered a war in the east that exhausted it militarily, demographically and economically and led to a defeat that ultimately resulted in the eastern part being under communism for about 45 years.

This could lead to the fall of the USA as the world's No. 1 power.

What is worse, he presented himself as a peacemaker and the one who would eliminate war. History teaches us that such people often did the greatest damage to their countries. Hitler, Mussolini and Japanese Prime Minister Tojo all scrapped peace treaties before WW2 and talked about peace...

No one was saved by knowing politics ;)

Our Cardinal Stepinac, now a blessed martyr of communism who also lived through fascist and Nazi rule, said "When you feel the weakest and nothing else is left for you... you still have two hands, fold them and pray, then you will be the strongest"

Nothing is as it seems right now, I am seeing loads of conflicting reports. The nuclear facilities supposedly have not been damaged. I am taking the 72 hour rule on this one.

Listening to Steve Bannon. He’s not very optimistic. America goes to war. Prayers.

From the little I have understood the old covenant was dissolved because the new one replaced it. God promised the messiah through the Jewish line of people and He did that. The gospel of Matthew was written exclusively for the Jews inorder to demonstrate how Christ fulfilled ancient prophecies and was greater than Moses and thus was the Christ. Hence old covenant dissolved. If it wasn't dissolved wouldn't they still need to keep up their end of the promise, which entails guilt offerings, sin offerings, celebrating the feasts given by Moses?

Further, if you look at the Old Testament it is filled with the theme of the second born taking the birth-right of the first born which points to the creation of the Church and the rejection of the Jews.

Also, aren't there prayers of the church where it specifically says WE, the gentiles, the people of the church, are now apart of Abraham's people because we have entered into the covenant which points to only one covenant?

This is only my basic understanding and I have read very little.

That’s a very good point. I would also add that St. Paul says we are all heirs of Abraham through Jesus Christ, and that everything God promised to Abraham is fulfilled in Jesus Christ.

It’s a bit confusing because, during the Second Vatican Council, the Church was “appeasing” other faiths, especially the Jews who had infiltrated the Church at that time.

However, God kept the promises made to Abraham; He just changed who holds the key that opens the gate to Heaven. It is now the Catholic Church and the old laws and rituals no longer unlock that door. The keys the Jews have no longer work for this new door.

Anyone who wishes to pass through the gate to Heaven must accept Christ and the teachings of the Catholic Church. That is what was promised to Abraham, and this is the verse many Evangelicals cite: “Whoever blesses Israel will be blessed, and whoever curses Israel will be cursed".” This refers to Christ and the Catholic Church, this is the means by which the world is blessed. And whoever rejects Christ is cursed. Not the Jews, not Israel... In the end, the Apostle Paul himself reminds us that there is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, we are all one in Christ.

If I may add one more thing Jesus’ parable of the workers in the vineyard. Some came early, some later, some at the very end of the day, and they all received the same wage agreed upon with the vineyard owner. Beyond its traditional interpretation — that some of us have been Catholic our whole life and others only accept Christ at the end I believe Jesus was also addressing the Jews. Even though God revealed Himself to them first, all other nations who come to God which we know happens by entering the Catholic Church will receive the same reward.

The Jews wished to be special and above other nations which is evident from their behavior but Jesus’ proclamation and His encounters with Gentiles, with Roman centurions, Samaritans show that everyone is invited and will receive the same “wage” if they accept the task — that is, embrace the faith and become members of the Church.

Doesn’t God have the right to do as He pleases with what is His?

This is actually quite dangerous, because Cyrus is considered a kind of Messiah in the Old Testament, preceding Christ. This is just my opinion, and I may be mistaken, but I believe the most logical way for the Jews in the Holy Land to accept a foreign messiah is if he appears as a kind of spiritual return of Cyrus.

Many Iranian patriots see Cyrus as the archetype of a liberating figure long desired after decades of Ayatollah rule, and these expectations could turn into a kind of messianic ecstasy if a future leader were to emerge in the Middle East with those traits.

Cyrus also represents the archetype of both a foreign Messiah and a global ruler—two characteristics that align with the description of the messiah the Jews are waiting for.

A land in heaven not on earth. Jews must understand this. God’s promise is not an earthly one. Trump hasn’t a clue.
