Is this an acceptable alternative for fulfilling my Sunday obligation?

Every Sunday I find myself stressed out and exhausted from attending Sunday mass at my local parish. I find it really hard to tune out the irreverent music and focus on God.

I’m wondering if I should instead go to Saturday evening masses, (as the Saturday evening masses at my parish aren’t as irreverent) and on Sundays watch livestream masses from St. Mary’s of Pine Bluff.

I’ll still be attending Sunday mass at the parish for the rest of this month at least, to see if I can improve my skills of tuning this out. But if I can’t tune it out, and still struggle with it, would attending Saturday evening masses and watching livestream from St. Mary’s be an acceptable alternative for fulfilling my Sunday obligation?

The Saturday evening Mass is most likely a vigil Mass for the Sunday, so that would fulfill your obligation.

I agree with Lumena. The Saturday evening Vigil Mass fulfills the Sunday obligation.
Sometimes we have very irreverent music in our church as well. I try to offer it up as my reparation to God. But I know how you feel.

While we prefer to attend on Sunday, attending Saturday evening Vigil does fulfill the obligation.
