    "...
This loss of clear definition has characterized Church teaching since Vatican II. Some have welcomed this blurring of the lines of doctrine. Confusion allows room for personal interpretation. And confusion has been the aim of the Holy See for more than a half-century now. Is this claim too extreme?"

It is true. Many are in denial.

The Church is full of those who compromise with the spirit of the world.

When is the last time you heard a sermon on the enemies of the spiritual life - the world, the flesh and the devil?

Modernist priests have actually embraced the spirit of this world which is anti-Christ.

There can be no dialogue with the anti-Christ -- we are in combat but most don't even know they are in a war.

What a nasty article purporting to be "Our Lady's E-Newsletter". Is that a Sede Vacante website? Statements like this certainly give that impression: "And confusion has been the aim of the Holy See for more than a half-century now."

Vatican 11 was a valid Council of the Church. That people within the Church used and continue to use it as cover to introduce heterodox practises and beliefs doesn't nullify the validity of the Council. The same people would have found some other cover for their heresies had Vatican 11 never happened.

Articles like the one on that website undermine genuine attempts to defend the Deposit of Faith. It's an example of petty extremism and character assassination reminiscent of the tactics and language used by Protestant fundamentalists.

Actually Cardinal Burke has recently reversed his position on what has been said for decades on 'This website'

The fact David has 'liked' your post should be concern.

Cardinal Burke didn't cast aspersions on the intentions of the Council or all the Popes we have had since Pius X11. It does the Cardinal a disservice to align him with those who do.

I'm not too bothered about David liking or disliking my posts. No doubt David and I will be at loggerheads over other matters pertaining to the current Pope and the people he has chosen to help him supervise Christ's Church.
