In thanksgiving for prayers answered

  1. I went in for surgery yesterday. I have had para-thyroid problems. They are 4 little rice shaped things behind your thyroid. One or more quit working. I also was going to have to have my thyroid out because I had multiple polyps on it. I was in the downwind hazard of Chernobyl when we lived in Germany in the 80's.

I was dreading it all because I didn't want to take any medication for the rest of my life knowing what was coming down the pike with the world etc. I also knew our Lady would protect me whatever was going to happen.

I have a friend in Michigan who was given permission by the Carmelites at the hill of Typiac in Mexico to take some of the rose bushes they propagate. These rose bushes are the Castillian Roses that Juan Diego picked that miraculously appeared on the hill as proof to the Bishop that our Lady was appearing. Who knew!? :LOL:She got permission from the FDA, the EPA and tons of others to bring them back to the U.S. and plant them and propagate them. She brought them back and out of like 28 plants, 6 lived. She attaches dried rose petals to the back of Divine Mercy Images that she gives to priests. That is how I got to know her. She gave images to all our priests in Montana. :D

She insisted I take some rose petals and eat one a day. Miracles have happened she says. So, she sent me some by FEDEX and I ate them and lo and behold...the surgery was suppose to take 1.5 hrs. and it took 4 hrs. The doc says my thyroid is fine. The polyps are minute and not cancerous at all. He had a terrible time finding my fourth para-thyroid (the one he took). It was hidden behind my voice-box. He had to expose my nerve to my voice-box which goes to my brain and just doing that about 1 in 10,000 lose their voice. :censored: They had to wake me up before it was completely over to make sure I still had my voice! Few of you know me, but that would be tragic for me...lol I have a lot to be thankful for today. My husband bought me a boatload of jello and tapioca pudding and soups. He was with me the whole time.

I give thanks and praise to Our Lady of Guadalupe for her mercy on me. I know she wants my voice more than ever now! ;) And thank you God for good holy friends! (y)That is soooo precious to me!!

what a beautiful story MS7....may I share something similar? In 93, shortly after I returned from Medjugorje, I went to the doctor who found a mass on my thyroid. How long has this been here? she asked. What? I don't know what you are talking about. I was busy with 3 and 7 year old boys and working evening shift at the hospital. I barely brushed my teeth!

I went to a neck surgeon who told my husband from biopsy, this looks like Cancer....we were devastated. A young priest came over with our Church prayer group, the night before surgery and brought Lourdes water and prayed for half hour over me....

When I went for surgery, I said, don't be surprised if it's not cancer, I had Lourdes water and prayers last night.....He looked at me like I was a dimwit.

When I awoke from surgery (4 hours) he said it was NOT cancer but an autoimmune disease and the tumor was plastered all over my vocal cord nerve. To this day I have a paralyzed vocal cord, but NO Cancer. I told him, see the Lourdes water and prayers worked. He seemed more convinced postop! At least I got a maybe nod....

Feel better MS7....I hope you have a beautiful, smooth recovery.
