One good thing about following the Path of Prayer, the Spiritual Life (and even life in general] for a few years is that it gives you some sense of perspective on events that have transpired and are to come in the future. It is rather like climbing mountains, the further you walk on the better the view you get as you look behind you. I often think when I hear of people, most especially young people who commit suicide that if only they had this sense of perspective, especially that of of looking back and down at life that they would not have done so. For all things past, the Good, the Bad and the indifferent and the only thing that remains is God who is Eternal and changeless. Another thing they might see that the times of greatest good in life are precisely those times of greatest suffering. For it is in these times when we hang on the Cross are the very times that make us who and what we are. These are what make us. At other times we dither and dally towards God (even if we do this much). But in times of Agony we run on angels wings right into His arms.
