I had a little love, as I woke up one day, I took that little ounce of love, and gave it all away. I gave it to my mother, who made my toast and tea, by saying just a word of thanks, Her love returned to me I took this love into the world, It lit my path ahead. And even though the sun was bright I trusted love instead. It took me on a journey Just for a single day And what I did experience From mind will never fade. I gave it to my boss at work, Who had a tiring day I wished her well and said God bless, Her face shone right away. I gave it to the motorist Who almost knocked me down I smiled instead of shouting out and chirped 'I'm such a clown!' And last, not least, I gave my love To one I call my King For he has given me so much His praises I did sing. At Mass time, and at Eucharist I knelt and said aloud 'My God you've given me a chance To share your love around.
