  8. I posted this on a different thread but it is better suited to this thread.

Below is a song I wrote for our beautiful priests who need to know they are loved and appreciated.
    Especially after all the scandals.

Imagine a world without priests...without Confession...without the Eucharist.

They give all for Christ for our eternal sake.

A Priest Forever in the Order of Melchizedek

    THE CASTLE

  10. “The Castle”
A song inspired by St. Teresa of Ávila

    I. PURGATIVE

    Verse 1
I stood at the threshold, trembling, worn,
A soul in rags, with pride still torn.
The flesh was loud, the world too near,
Yet Love kept whispering: “I am here.”

    Pre-Chorus
Through arid paths, I crawled and bled,
Where night was thick, and angels fled.
I drank the cup of bitter fire—
Each step a death, each death, desire.

    Chorus
Oh, burn me clean, O Breath Divine,
Strip every veil that isn’t Thine.
If pain must be the price of sight,
Then wound me deeper, flame of Light.

    II. ILLUMINATIVE

    Verse 2
    Within the silence, truths unfold,
The Word is spoken, soft and bold.
No longer blind, the soul perceives
The Gardener walking through the leaves.

    Pre-Chorus
His voice is wind, His touch is flame,
He calls each branch of me by name.
In sacred stillness, I am taught
To yield to love, and not to thought.

    Chorus
Oh, shape me, Christ, in Wisdom’s grace,
Make pure the dwelling of Thy Face.
Let every thorn that pierced Thee too
Take root in me, and bloom anew.

    III. UNITIVE

    Verse 3
O Living Flame, O Gentle Spouse,
Thou art the breath within my vows.
No more I seek, for I am found—
The soul and God in silence bound.

    Pre-Chorus
The walls dissolve, the self is gone,
Only the Lover and the One.
A drop within the boundless sea,
I know at last: He lives in me.

    Final Chorus
O Sweet Beloved, wound me still,
Consume me wholly in Thy will.
This is the end, this is the start—
One burning flame, one single heart.

    Coda
“Let nothing trouble you, let nothing frighten you…
    God alone suffices…”
