Very inspiring. Msgr. conveys many beautiful truths. Many youtube clips are informative. This one is a keeper. O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to these.
I believe the Monsignor was Spiritual Director to several important visionaries. This is important to note because when you hear of his name linked with someone or something you can go forward in confidence. In a curious note. He mentioned his families village in the Lebanon. Unless I am not mistaken two modern Lebanese saints are associated with this place.
Maybe it's my own lack of faith, but I'm a little sceptical about his reference to people being raised from the dead. It's a pity he didn't give more details. Anyway, I think this is one of the people whose name he mentioned: Here's an interview with Neil Valez. It's in Spanish on what seems to be EWTN's Spanish service.. Using the translated subtitles, I gather that his parents started a ministry of music and preaching and they took Neil and his siblings with them wherever they preached. Neil's mother was advised to abort him but she refused and he was born a sickly child. He had tumours and at age 17 he lost his eyesight. While in the hospital he either cried out to God in desperation or was angry with God (it's hard to understand from the translation). Then he had a locution or what he called a personal encounter with God. His eyesight was healed. He seems to have had meningitis and the doctors said that the meningitis must have reduced the tumour which had caused his blindness but that he was still critically ill. He was adamant that God had cured his sight and told the doctors he would recover. He did recover. The locution was God letting him know that although he knew about the faith, he didn't really know God. In other words, his faith was in his head but not his heart. I didn't watch the entire interview so I don't know whether they discussed the raising from the dead Msgr. Essef referred to.
