How do I have someone discern my article on http://www.afterthewarning.com john-Sevant of God

I ran out of time to write this yesterday but I do want to share this experience I had yesterday. So close to my work is a wonderful little church that I go to often. On Wednesday's they have adoration after 9am mass so I try to stop in when possible even if just for a few minutes. Sometimes I have no intention to go in but I just see the church and feel Him on the alter and are just drawn in again even if it is only for 15 minutes. Yesterday was one of those days. I had a lot to do at lunch time in a limited amount of time but as I was passing the church I just couldn't pass and felt drawn in, so of course I stopped in and told God that I can only stay for 15 minutes. 35 minutes later I left to finish my errands before returning to work. As I was sitting before Our Lord I was thinking heavily on John's messages and really so much of the stuff I read these days as far as messages and even books on our faith and history etc. I brought a new book for me but probably a very old well known book for all of you in with me into adoration. The book is The Imitation of Christ by Thomas a Kempis. I have probably only read 10 pages of this book so far and feel it is one of those that will move slow for me because when you read something in it it just speaks to you. So after 10 minutes or so just sitting in silence before the Lord I asked Him to take me to a page in this book that I needed to read today and focus on. I opened the book to Chapter 43 and began to read. It was speaking right to me of course since I asked for it but what I find astonishing is then how this chapter completely changes in the middle. Discern this however you like but for me it has me really thinking on a lot of things:

Chapter 43: Against Useless and Worldly Learning

Jesus: My Son, don't let the fine phrases and subtle speech of other men influence you for the kingdom of God does not consist in words but in power. Listen to My words for it is these that enkindle the heart and enlighten the mind, excite repentance and effect much consolation.

Never read anything with the intention of appearing educated and erudite, rather, learn how to eradicate your evil ways. This will be of greater profit to you than knowing the answers to many abstruse questions.

When you have read a great deal and have gained much information about a variety of subjects, you must always return to the basic principle: It is I who give knowledge to men, and it is I who give My little ones an understanding of things that is clearer than what they could possibly receive from men. The man who listens to My words becomes wise before long, and makes great progress in the spiritual life, but woe to those who seek useless bits of trivia and care little about knowing how to serve Me.

(here is the big change now all of sudden....)

The time is coming when Christ, the teacher of teachers and Lord of angels, will appear to inspect everyone's homework, that is, to examine each one's conscience. On that day He will search all Jerusalem with a lamp, He will bring to light the things that are now hidden in darkness and will silence the tongues of quarrelsome men. I am He who, in an instant, can raise up the humble man's mind to a better understanding of the principles of eternal truth than if he had spent ten years studying them at a university.

When I teach, I use neither words nor sounds. I teach without confusing minds, without encouraging a desire for honors, and without conflicting arguments. I am He who teaches you to despise the things of the world, to loathe the transitory and seek the heavenly, to relish the eternal and flee earthly honors, to suffer humiliation and to put all your trust in Me, to desire nothing apart from me and to burn with a love for Me that is above all else.

Once there was a certain individual who had great love for Me and learned the divine truths directly from me and preached most eloquently about Me. He made greater progress by his renunciation of everything than he could have by sedulously studying scholastic subtleties. To some I teach what is meant for all men, and to others I teach what is for them alone. To some I make Myself known by means of suitable signs and figures, and to others I reveal My mysteries in all their brightness.

A book has but a single lesson buy everyone who reads it does not profit from it in the same way, for I am the interior teacher of truth and the reader of men's hearts. I understand each one's thought and I encourage their actions, apportioning to each one as I see fit.

I put the book down and let this sink in for a minute and then internally heard that I should read on to the next chapter. I will type this short one up and then stop but I did feel urged to read one more chapter but it is long and my hands are getting tired from typing this ha ha.

Chapter 44: Avoid Being Drawn Into External Affairs

Jesus: My son, in many matters you must remain ignorant and think of yourself as someone dead on earth, and as one to whom the whole world is crucified. You must go about with your ears closed to the world for it is much better for you to spend your time thinking of what is more for your peace. It is better for you to avert your eyes from what displeases you and to leave each one to his own opinion than to enter into contentious controversy. If you maintain a proper relationship with God and respect His judgement of things, the more easily will you bear it when others gain the victory over you.

Disciple: O Lord, to what have we come/ We mourn our temporal losses and for a trifling gain we work long hours and dash about every which way. We are totally unmindful of the injury it causes our spiritual life, and later on we rarely even think about it. We devote much of our time to what is inconsequential and insignificant and neglect that which is of the greatest importance to us. Unless the man, who gives himself entirely to external affairs, returns to his senses, and quickly too, he will soon find himself snugly settled in the web of earthly affairs.

Chapter 45: Not Everyone Should be Believed and How Easy it is to Offend by Words.

I feel there is a ton of information in these three chapters and a lot of it speaks to me for much in this discussion so far.

Hopefully that comes on a Saturday or Sunday for me in Ohio Fatima. I work in Ohio but live across the Ohio River in Kentucky. It is always been a concern for me that if we ever had a bad enough earthquake down river at the new Madrid epicenter in lower western Kentucky that it could effect the bridges up here in Cincinnati and then how would I ever get home? I probably still could but would have to go way up river to hope to find a bridge there. I don't fear this though and trust in the Lord. He could always send some angels to fly me across ha ha.

These words are very key for me. I rarely involve myself in the threads about apparitions because, for me, they are occasions for distraction and controversy. So many of you are able to ponder, sort, and sift out the inconsequential; not so for myself. I stick to the basic message and avoid dates and timings for the most part.

For me, simplicity must reign. If I perceive from the "chatter" that someone has hit paydirt, I'll take a look!

Keep us informed Fatima. I suspect problems with his messages before to long. And I will not pray for his mission. Pray for the will of God.Or even better ,The Triumph of the Immaculate Heart , [did John mention that? or the first 5 Saturday devotion] After all hes been preparing for 30+ years

 

I've been preparing for 25+ years, and I still struggle with rash judgments and snide remarks. Lately, I'm fasting from that. It's hard, but with God's grace, I'm getting better. It helps to know that every time I fail, I disappoint the Lord and give the enemy ground.

It is remarks like this that are making me seriously question whether I want to belong to the Mother of God Forum any more.

You know in a funny kind of way I consider John's leaving the forum and no longer defending the messages as a positive sign. A wise move.

I was not really happy with the prospect of the messenger publically defending the messages. It did not, to me seem to be the Catholic way. A take it or leave it position would have been more in line with Tradition.
