Dachau – the great cemetery of Catholic priests This article comprises excerpts from memoirs of Catholic priests, who practiced heroic virtues. They endured various forms of torture but remained faithful to Christ and their priesthood in their ministry to fellow inmates and in caring for the sick. Long article but worth reading
I read this yesterday on Spirit Daily. The tortures were horrific. It upset me greatly. It was diabolical. Thank you for posting.
This thread made me feel guilty. I am often very ready to condemn evil priests , Bishops and Cardinals but forget to praise the many, many good heroic priest and Bishops who have spoken out in our days often at great peril, many of whom have even shed their life's blood in defense of the Faith. In places like Mexico, Africa and the Middle East. But even here in the West. For all the good Popes and Cardinals such as Pope Benedict who shed rivers of tears in private for all that is going on both in the Church and the World. May God bless and reward them all. It can be hard for us poor lay folk, but it is a hundred times harder for our poor clergy.
