Movie is coming out around Easter. I read the book and enjoyed it. It may have been discussed on this forum at some point but I haven't been around that long. I plan to see it with my family. Any thoughts on either the book or movie? http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/heavenisforreal/
I remember when the book came out but did not read it. The movie looks good and I will probably see it.
I never heard of this one Cathy, thanks for pointing it out I look forward to seeing it. I see critics are calling it unscriptural. Which is of course a problem, New Age stuff is never scriptural. On the other hand mystics have a way of surprising us . I am alos looking forward to watching, 'Noah' which the critics also rubbished, but anyway I will love the special effects. It is also said to be unscriptural/ Hollywood. They would try to rearrange God.
Padraig Noah is rubbish. I saw it. It is an insult to the bible, God and Noah being a righteous man. He kills, he becomes a drunk and even wants to kill his grandchildren at birth. They make the fallen angels out to be the heroes of the story. They never mention God once and the director of the film is an atheist. If you take all this away and just look at it as a movie, it was boring and not well scripted or acted at all. Save your money or wait to watch it on tv someday. I was really offended watching this and how they treated the only righteous man God saw in the world before He destroyed it.
I watched Noah, too. I found it insulting to Noah and his entire family. We are living in terrible times. Sorry I have been gone so long. But I have a little baby now who takes up ALL of my time God love him! God bless, ~Rae
I read the book and enjoyed it. Not sure if I'll go to the movie, as the book was very protestant in nature I thought. I think it is a great evangelizing tool though for people who have forgotten God and glad movies like these are going mainstream. Any love for Jesus is good love
Actually Joanne brought this to our attention. I believe its based on a near death experience, so not sure how scriptural it aimed to be. Noah on the other hand I hear veered way off scripture. The sins of the world that caused the flood were city people ruining the environment, so its completely turned into an environmental movie. II won't be seeing it...but then again l ant remember the last movie I saw as it has been that long. I really do not like Hollywood.
