In the silence of night I have often wished for just a few words of love from one man, rather than the applause of thousands of people. Judy Garland

Sheen “The refusal to take sides on great moral issues is itself a decision. It is a silent acquiescence to evil. The Tragedy of our time is that those who still believe in honesty lack fire and conviction, while those who believe in dishonesty are full of passionate conviction.” ― Fulton J. Sheen
“I’m not a bum. I’m a human being”- Ronald Davis http://www.patheos.com/blogs/deacon...se-of-the-poor-im-not-a-bum-im-a-human-being/
From Fr. Corapi: "You can not give what you haven't got" "They are the 10 commandments; not the 10 suggestions" "if she's good enough for Jesus, she's good enough for you" (referring to the blessed mother) "In the end, forever, you and I will be in Heaven or hell. Period."
I was really touched by Ronald Davis's story, Miker. He is certainly no bum. I remember one time I was staying in the seminary in Chelsea London and on coming home one night saw an old homeless gentleman getting ready to go to sleep on the lawn outside. I felt sorry for him and came down with a blanket to join him outside and keep him company. We sat and talked a while. But when I woke up next morning he was gone , but when I looked under my pillow I found a bar of chocolate and a tin of beer he had left me! I was so touched by this , that a man who had literally nothing had given me so much of the nothing he had.
