My 86 year old father in law wrote this prayer last week I thought I would share it with you as I found it very moving.. God my father in heaven I firmly believe with every breath I take With every tear that I shed With every beat of my heart and fibre of my body With every thought of my soul When the Blessed Eucharist is placed on my tongue I believe I have received the Sacred Body and Blood of your Divine Son Jesus God my father make me a worthy recipient of this great sacrifice help me to share it with my fellow man That we may both receive the blessings and the favours that come there of Amen.
Amen, Amen! "Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day.For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink.Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me." -John 6:53-57
