Holy Father has asked us to unite with him in saying the Luminous Mysteries of Holy Rosary in petition to God to end this corona virus plague. Holy Father will lead the Rosary in Rome at 9pm this evening 19th March. The times around the world I hope will be known to you who would like to join in this beautiful petition for God's Mercy on us all.
Good evening, dear family here at Mother of God Forum I have not commented for a few years due to crushing family circumstances. However, I frequently read all the comments. I would like to ask if anyone has a link to how we can join in with the Rosary being prayed from the Vatican? Julia, I am especially glad to see you have returned. I missed your presence here. While I am here, thanks to John Quis ut Deus for all that you do to keep this forum running. And, of course, thanks to you, Padraig. God bless all of us in these difficult times Inis
Welcome back. I was in the same boat. It seems many I know had some rough life stuff that rocked the faith. I just returned recently as well.
Thanks, Andy Yes, I read what you wrote some time back and you've been in my thoughts and prayers often. It seems we both went through something similar ...
I have searched through lots of Catholic sites and there doesn't seem to be anything linking us to pray with the Pope. On the other hand, I'm not very techy. I expect we will all just pray the Rosary in our own homes and unite ourselves spiritually to each other?
The Holy Rosary from Rome - 2020.03.19 In this time of health emergency and uncertainty Pope Francis has asked all the faithful to pray the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary on the Feast of St. Joseph, protector of the Church
If you prefer to listen to the Rosary, here is the EWTN radio live stream. https://www.ewtn.com/radio/listen-live
Was thankful today was a day with the kids. We gathered in the family room and pulled out the scriptural rosary book and said it. It was very nice to have them join me. They have not done that before but even they know the importance of this now!
I did the same but we did it, that's what matters Inis. + I caught some of the broadcast on EWTN but I had finished saying the Luminous mysteries already. I also said a whole rosary this morning. I just wish that I could stay totally focused throughout. +
Welcome back Inis! At the appointed time where I live, I just went for a walk in my neighbourhood and prayed the Rosary while I was walking, and united it with Our Holy Father and the world.
St. Peter & Paul's church in Clonmel had arranged their Rosary for the World for the same time as it was due to start in Rome. I found the link here: https://www.churchservices.tv/timetable/ The Rosary from Italy was also on EWTN. I had that on TV but they were late starting and then it looked like it was going to be a performance so I switched off the TV and prayed with the priest in Clonmel. Just the priest, what looked like an immage of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal on the altar and hymns to Our Lady between the mysteries. The priest prayed Compline after the Rosary. I was glad I found the Clonmel link.
