The following words are taken from two letters written by Conchita to youth groups from France, during their pilgrimage to Garabandal in 1970 and 1972. Conchita‘s written messages to youth group in France in 1970 TOPICS: Life of Virtue Fasting The Eucharist True happiness The Rosary Jesus’s passion Examination of conscience Look at Mary The following words are taken from two letters written by Conchita to youth groups from France, during their pilgrimage to Garabandal in 1970 and 1972. A LIFE OF VIRTUE "Be models for other young people" "The Blessed Virgin wants you to help convert the world and, thereby, prevent the wrath of God over our sins. She trusts in you; she trusts that your example and self-denial might make you models for other young people that haven’t received the graces that you have in hearing Our Lady’s messages." FASTING,PRAYER, AND PENANCE "She asks you to have a spirit of penance, sacrifice and prayer. Without these weapons, we can do nothing." THE EUCHARIST Visit the Blessed Sacrament frequently "In the Blessed Sacrament you will find the strength to take on the life that the Virgin Mary is constantly asking of you. Make frequent visits to the Blessed Sacrament. Empty your hearts of earthly things that don't allow you to listen to God." TRUE HAPPINESS It comes from being with God "The happiness which you have never felt is found only in the surrender to God and the Virgin Mary." THE ROSARY "Pray to her with faith and trust." "Pray for one another, for yourselves, pray to Our Lady. Pray to her with faith and trust. She will give you everything that is good for you." JESUS' PASSION Think of His Passion "Let us all together think more about Jesus' passion, in order to forget about ourselves." EXAMINATION OF CONSCIENCE God speaks to your soul "You who listen to these words, listen to God who speaks within your soul, follow the voice of your conscience. Pause each day for just a few minutes to think about the bad you’ve done, the good you have failed to do and also the good you have done; ask forgiveness for the bad you've done and for the good that, through negligence, you failed to do and begin your Christian life again." LOOKING AT THE VIRGIN MARY Would the Blessed Virgin do it? "Pray before acting and ask yourself, beforehand, ‘Would the Virgin Mary do this? What would the Blessed Virgin do?’ It’s possible that at this moment, when you are about to do something bad, you change your mind."
Happy Feast Day St. Joseph ! NIGHT OF SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, TO MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 1961: "AH, ST. JOSEPH IS THE GREATEST SAINT IN HEAVEN!" In response to Don Valentin Marichalar's questions, the visionaries learned from the Blessed Virgin that St. Joseph is "the greatest of all the Saints." He gave signs of his "presence," at San Sebastian de Garabandal, a presence always discreet and sensitive. [Excerpted from 'Garabandal' Book, page 100]
When I see reminders as this, I wonder how that information fails to reach a broader audience, all diocese. When I mentioned it in passing to my priest, he brushed it off as being unwilling to discuss it at all. I wonder what they are told now in Seminary about some of these things.
FATIMA & GARABANDAL I feel ,as many do, that Garabandal is the continuation of Fatima. At Garabandal, Saint Michael first appeared to the visionaries in the evening (8:30 P.M.) of June 18, 1961, exactly 40 years to the day (and even the same time of day) from the last vision at Fatima. In the sixth apparition at Fatima on October 13, 1917, during the tableaux of visions during the Miracle of the Sun, Our Lady appeared as Our Lady of Mount Carmel with the scapular on her wrist. On July 2, 1961, the Virgin appeared at Garabandal as Our Lady of Mount Carmel with a large brown scapular draped over her right arm. When Our Lady appeared at Fatima in 1917 she did something she had not done before: she addressed messages specifically to the entire world. While she appeared again after Fatima at Beauraing (1932-33) and Banneux (1933), she did not speak to the world at either of those places. But at Garabandal we again find this universal appeal. Although Fatima and Garabandal are separate events there is continuity in the revelations and similarities in features of the events not found among the other visits of Our Lady during the Marian Age. It is interesting to note that the 3rd secret was supposed to be released after 1960,and when it was not, Mary appeared at Garabandal in 1961. See how the world did not heed Mary's Fatima warnings, so she stated them more profoundly at Garabandal.
TODAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY: MAY 4, 1962 “ THE POPE IN RUSSIA, AT MOSCOW,THEN THE BEGINNING OF THE DIFFICULT PRE-AVISO PERIOD “ On that day, Mari-Loli and Conchita received new and prophetic revelations about the future tribulations of the brief but very difficult time of the “Pre-Aviso”. Conchita also said during her ecstasy that “ Communism will also come back in Spain”. The Blessed Virgin also predicted to the visionary that “ the Pope would go to Russia, to Moscow”, a trip absolutely unthinkable in the political climate of the 1960’s. She also added among other important things, that “ As soon as the Sovereign Pontiff would return to the Vatican, successive violent persecutions would break out here and there in Europe”. These would be signs that the world, and particularly the Church (people would then believe that She will be on the point of disappearing, etc. ) were entering into the relatively short yet very difficult period of the Pre-Warning. “ GARABANDAL “ -p.133 (Aviso in Spanish is "Warning " )

TODAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY: MAY 6 On May 6,2012, Bishop of Santandar Vecente Jimenez Zamora, celebrated mass in Garabandal in commemoration of the completion of the restoration of the village church. This was the first time a Bishop celebrated Mass in Garabandal, since the apparitions began ! The fact the came himself, and did not send someone in his place, and the fact that he returned again in May of 2013 ,and kissed a crucifix belonging to villager David Toribio that was kissed by the Blessed Virgin at Garabandal, were signs of his acceptance and personal approval of the apparitions.
The Blessed Mother speaks of Abortion at Garabandal Among the fulfilled prophecies of Garabandal was one that only came to light with the publication of a German book [Garabandal — Der Zeigefinger Gottes.] on Garabandal in 1992. The author, Albrecht Weber, was in Garabandal on the day after Conchita's last apparition at Garabandal on November 13,1965, and had a long conversation with the visionary. The following excerpt from his book deals with some of what the visionary told him: She [Conchita] spoke quite openly about the developments by which men in the near future would rebel against God. On the day after Our Lady's last appearance at Garabandal, Conchita asked the author, "Can you imagine how somebody could kill children in the womb without thereby killing the mother?" The author spontaneously answered, "No! What gave you that idea, Conchita?" "Well, the Blessed Mother spoke about this and she let me know that this will happen with the overflowing of the chalice." [In her second Message of June 18,1965, the Virgin said, "Before, the cup was filling up. Now it is flowing over."] Conchita said this tremblingly without being able to visualize what it really implied. She said further that it disturbed her very much but that she felt ridiculous because she hadn't understood at all how this killing could be effected. The Blessed Virgin had not explained it to her and up until that moment, nobody had been able to make her understand it at all. Conchita would learn soon enough when abortion became legalized, even in her native country. The Blessed Virgin had spoken about this unfortunate practice to the visionary, in terms that had left her stunned. Indeed, at the time, Conchita did not understand "how it was possible to kill a child in his (or hers) mother's womb without killing the mother at the same time . . .!" Conchita’s Locution with Jesus regarding Heaven ( July 20, 1963 ) Conchita- Will I go to heaven? And He answered me: Jesus - You should love much and pray to Our Hearts. C- When will You give me a Cross? J- What will I be? [This is another of Conchita’s worries—her destiny. That is,to discern the designs God has for her life. For awhile now, she has been questioning whether she has a religious vocation, and she frequently asks the apparition about it, but—according to her own words—the Virgin has never responded in the affirmative. In the same way, during this locution Our Lord keeps his silence when asked the question “What will I be?” Conchita has always received confirmation of her suffering and of the cross, wherever she is.] He didn’t answer me. He only told me that everywhere that I would be, I would have much to suffer. I said to Him: C- Am I going to die soon? J- You have to stay on earth to help the world. [This seems to be a clear announcement of a “concrete” vocation; it is a call to live in the world and not in a convent]. And I said to Him: C- I am very small. I couldn’t help in anything. J- With your prayers and sufferings, you will help the world. C- When does one go to heaven? When one dies? [This question seems rather childish. Conchita’s lack of education makes some of her questions seem simple, as though they don’t correspond to her age. In contrast, the response is profoundly astonishing.] J- One never dies. (I thought that we didn’t go to heaven until we were resurrected). C- I asked Him if St. Peter was at the gate of heaven to receive us. He told me” no.”

Silvio Leonti ran the NY Garabandal Center ( with his wife Rachel ) for 40 years ! Silvio and Rachel devoted almost half their life to this apostolate , Joey Lomangino and our Lady messages. Silvio was 90 when he passed. Remember him today in your prayers , as a devoted ,tireless worker for our Blessed Mother. Like
Conchita on Gossip & Lies I was talking to Conchita one day in April 2014, and I was telling her how much I hate the lies and gossip on the internet against her and our Blessed Mothers messages, and she said it didn’t bother her. I said “why ?” She said “ I don’t have anything to hide from God, so I don’t worry about what anyone else thinks”. Boy, I wish I had her peace .
A friend (former co-host of Pilgrimage I am planning) has been challenging me in saying while I say the Catholic Singles pilgrimage I am hosting is open to all, I am still firm on a Catholic theme. She has challenged me as discriminating. She sited yesterday's reading from Ephesians to point out the desire to be of one faith. She has also chosen to plan her own pilgrimage open to any Christian. Mind you those who has expressed interest are predominately non-denominational. In spite of my efforts, she insists a Catholic theme is not a welcoming direction. Yes, she is Catholic. I am very much of the mind there is great value in both of us planning our own group trip. While many of us on both sides of the Reformation wish this could happen...I reminded her of Catholic prophesies of Garabandal and Medjugorje, mentioning specifically the Warning and Permanent Sign being the final true catalysts in our reunification, in the hopes she will further research both and realize our reunification may well not come about as many might think. Alas, my effort may again be in vain. Oddly enough, she invited me to join her efforts of a different itinerary so long as I am open to inviting anyone. Those who have expressed interest to me, are very glad to see it focused on a Catholic theme (Lourdes, Rome, Lanciano, Medjugorje). At this point, we may well at least reach 10 for next year. I have it posted in my church & bulletin. I have 2 friends posting it at their churches. I also have flyers at my favorite Adoration Chapel. I'm excited to see who shows up for the first information meeting next Tuesday. If we put it off until 2020, we may reach 20+. I just posted it to a local closed FB site. It will also go in the Diocesan magazine. Having joy in the Spirit, have a wonderful Friday everyone!!
This is not a bulletin board , this is an educational /discussion board for Garabandal topics , so unless you are posting a pilgrimage TO GARABANDAL, I prefer these personal messages be left else where. Thank you.
“ BLESSED “ POPE PAUL VI QUOTES ON GARABANDAL “ Conchita, I bless you and with me the whole church will bless you “. Pope Paul VI had shown a very special interest in the apparitions. At an audience given to Fr. Xavier Escalda, S.J., the latter mentioned there were many opponents of the apparitions even amongst his own people. His Holiness promptly rejoined: "It doesn't matter; tell these gentlemen that it is the Pope who has said that it is most important and most urgent to make these messages known to the world." Father Escalada explained his work in spreading the message of Garabandal in Mexico and the Pope Paul VI encouraged him to continue saying: "These messages must be made known." Father Escalada asked the Pope for his permission to continue promoting Garabandal and the Pope said “YES”. Pope Paul VI said : "It is the most beautiful story of humanity since the days of Christ. It is like a second life of the Virgin on earth. And we can never be grateful enough for it." , "Jacinta, I am with you, but we have to pray much and have much patience . . : it. is necessary to pray that the Church will become aware of the importance of Garabandal."
