I called and wrote the President Bill Steltemier for 6 months straight relentlessly ! He finally caved in, probably figured it was easier to put Joey on one time and get rid on me for good, lol. Well, that show was the highest rated show they ever had ,and Joey & Mother Angelica had such good chemistry, we were asked back again, and again. That show caused the video to explode in the USA. DINNER WITH MOTHER ANGELICA - August 4, 1995 Joey, Marilynn, and myself flew down to Alabama to Mother Angeilca’s EWTN . We are warmly greeted and shown around the tv station, and shown a house where we will be put up for the night. We were graciously invited to dinner at Mother Angelica’s house, before the show. When we arrived, there was Mother obviously, President Bill Steltemier, and a few top people at EWTN. You could tell instantly Joey & Mother Angelica “hit it off” and there was easy conversation and joking. As we all sat down to eat dinner, Mother asks Joey if he’d like to say grace. Joey gladly accepts saying “ yes Mother ! “. Joey then does one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. He opens by saying, “ Mother, I’d like to start with a 15 decade rosary ! “ There is dead silence ! Some jaws drop, and everyone is afraid to say or do anything. After a lengthy pause ( which as you can imagine felt like an eternity ) Joey says, “ Nah, I’m only kidding ! “ A loud burst of nervous laughter erupts at the table , and a collective sigh of relief from everyone, lol. It just goes to show you that you can maintain a spiritual life, without sacrificing the joys and laughter of life. After the show, Joey invited Mother Angelica to stay at his home anytime she was in New York, which she did. She has promised to air the great Miracle on EWTN for the world to see. They remained great friends .

The question was asked of me: "Why did Conchita move to America? " There was no chance of her having a realistic life there in the village. Everyday she had people telling her what to do, and it would be impossible for her to go outside or even do her chores because of the countless visitors wanting to see her, talk to her, question her, touch her ( as if she had powers to heal ),that is why her mother sent her away at 17 to another town for her education . Later at age 23 she came to America. A famous Spanish/American Radio personality and Physician in NY, Dr. Dominguez, knew her from his visits to Garabandal, offered to bring her over, and provide housing and a vocation in his medical practice. Here is Conchita in her own words : " " I remember my village caused me to suffer. I felt as if I was imprisoned. I acted by the commands of others who constantly advised me " Go to mass, Pray the rosary, Do this, Give up that ". At times I thought I would be happy in a hermitage away from everyone, and to work there alone for God and see what I was capable of doing without their forever telling me." 11-25-66
"Foot Race", A story from Serafin Gonzalez ( Conchita's Brother ) “On one occasion, a boy who was a good athlete arrived and said: ‘No one can beat me in a race. No girl can beat me.’ One of the girls had an ecstasy and set off running, and this boy ran after her. It was clear that the Blessed Virgin wasn’t trying to outrun him in the race, but at this point the girl was running at such a speed right toward the wall of a house that the boy thought: ‘If this is not from God, this girl will kill herself running into that wall.’ The boy had to stop to give him time to slow down, but the girl continued running without stopping until she reached the wall, and then she stopped in an instant. She said to the Blessed Virgin: ‘Oh, it is so he will believe…!’ The boy heard this and believed, since it was not humanly possible to stop in an instant at that speed.”

Conchita’s Polaroid Conchita was given a Polaroid camera and took this picture during her ecstasy of the Blessed Mother at the pines in Garabandal. This fact is stated by Mother Maria de las Nieves. Mother María de las Nieves García was told by Conchita that people wanted a photo of Our Lady, so one day they put a camera in her hands and told her how to operate it because she had no clue. After falling into ecstasy, Conchita started handling the camera as she had been instructed, and Our Lady smiled at her. Conchita told Our Lady that she was holding that thing because people wanted a photo of her, and Our Lady said to her, "I've come out [in the photo]." When the ecstasy ended, the photo was looked at: the result was a light shape of Our Lady on a dark background. Conchita's mother kept and cherished the photo on her bedside table until her death. One of the best connoisseurs of Garabandal is Ed Kelly. I met him in Garabandal, 2015. I could ask him many questions that he could answer in detail. Now he has published his latest book: "A WALK TO GARABANDAL, A JOURNEY OF HAPPINESS AND HOPE". Thank you Ed, for this excellent and detailed book about Garabandal!
"We Now Know That The Miracle Will Happen In The Month Of April ..." Interview with Father Gustavo Morelos Reprinted with permission from The Vigil January - April 1988 Q. Did Conchita ever reveal anything special to you? A. Well, she used to say to me that if I guessed the day of The Miracle that she would tell me, so I would try to guess the date but I never did. Every time I would give her a date she would say, "No that's not it." Until one time she said, "I will help you to guess. It will happen between the months of February and July and it will be between the 7th and the 17th, but I will not tell you which year." She assured me that The Miracle would not happen in the month of May. I enjoyed talking to Conchita about this while trying to guess the date... Of course, only Conchita knows the exact date and year which she will announce 8 days before it happens. However, in the book, "Miracle at Garabandal" authored by Harry Daley; page 89, Conchita is quoted as saying, "I will also tell you that it (meaning the Miracle) is going to happen either in April or May. Since she had already assured Father Morelos back in 1965 that the Miracle would not happen in May, it can safely be concluded that April must be the month in which it will take place. I spoke to Conchita about all these details as recent as April 25, 1988 during a telephone conversation, and while she was not able to recall saying what she did to both Father Morelos and Harry Daley, commenting that she had not read his book, she did not deny saying them nor did she contradict April as being The Miracle month. I pointed out that I intended to publish this information in "The Vigil" unless she said it was not true which she did not do, rather her reply was, "You can do what you want."
