"Barbie Kardashian." Now I'm prompted to pray to St. Jude for "Barbie" (had been included in occasional prayers previously). He had a horrible upbringing: An extremely violent father who beat and abused the mother, even raped her, in front of the child. Father wouldn't allow the terrorized little boy to be consoled or soothed by the mother. I can't recall if the mother later turned violent herself OR finally managed to get away with the child. "Barbie" enjoys inflicting pain. He viciously attacked a social worker, said he enjoyed hearing her screaming and crying. The deranged smile in the photo tells it all. I think this photo was taken immediately after his arrest for attacking that social worker. So yes, any woman within reach of "Barbie" is in terrible danger. He has confessed to fantasies of raping and killing. This person is so deeply, deeply scarred.

Heartbreaking. It makes you wonder what kind of pain is deep down inside a great many "evil" people today. There are so many broken, dysfunctional families with wounds that carry on through generations. Sometimes I think of how every person, no matter how evil, was once an innocent little child... What their future could have looked like, had they been raised in a loving, secure, Godly home. I wonder if God sees that child when He looks at such a person, still hoping in His great mercy that they reach out for Him before it's too late.
I am thinking in the present time what a great gift Faith is and will be in keeping us all sane. The world around descends more and more into a total insanity. God is the only reality. I feel especially for young people growing up in all this. Growing up is hard enough in any time, but nowadays it must be like living in a Lunatic Asylum, how to tell what is true and what is not true? How to tell what is normal and what is not?
My exact sentiments too PF. Praying God has mercy on the poor children who had bad examples in their upbringing. Surely a merciful God would show compassion on these people because as you said, they were once a innocent child and were the victim of some evil or neglect in their life. This is why we can not judge…only God knows what formed these souls…not every child is fortunate enough to have been raised by two loving and godly parents. Others might have suffered by someone outside of their family….one never knows. We were all formed differently and thankfully, only God is our merciful judge.
