I alerted our Marian Missionaries of Divine Mercy community to Luke’s need for prayers last night. They’re mostly young adults and very zealous prayer warriors.

    Thanks for these updates Joe.

Agnes Rose, I'm praying that your surgery goes very well. May God be with you through the surgery and your recovery.

Joe, Thank you for all that you are doing in regard to Luke. I have been offering my prayers for him and his family at this very difficult time and all other MOG members and their families going through a difficult time now also.

PS - Despite the difficult circumstances, it is good to hear from you and I hope that you are well.

Please don't place Mac in the past tense when he should be in the present. ;) Still praying for a miracle.:)

I would like to make a special request of people if they could pray Divine Mercy Chaplets for Luke. If he is indeed close I think this would be especially efficacious.

And again as Padraig said we can always pray for a miracle as well. God likes to act in the most dramatic fashion with things, so if there is to be a miracle then now is the time for it.

  8. You are welcome Mary’s Child and yes Mac has touched many hearts. Such a special family. Throughout his stay in hospice his four eldest daughters have taken turns to ensure he is never alone. He takes great comfort in this. When I first visited Mac several years ago I was moved when I joined the family in their regular family rosary kneeling on their living room floor. Such prayers can move the wirld. Mac has truly shown himself to be a man for all seasons. As you put it so well a good soldier in Mary’s army, a true brother in Christ.

  9. Mac is still with us. Its a long labour.

  13. A beautiful thought QuD and good for all. Mac has stayed strong and faithful to his Traditionalist beliefs throughout his illness. The hospice has very poor internet reception but his family pray the rosary and prayers for the dying for and with him constantly. He has received the last rites many times and has completed his first Saturdays and Fridays many times. He has made a thorough general confession and of course he is Consecrated to The Immaculata. He has been blessed with the presence of an authenticated relic of the True Cross throughout his ordeal. He wears the scapular and the Miraculous Medal. He hopes for the Sabbatine Priviledge. As Josie his wife said he can no longer talk ( the past tenses I have used are in relation to his past capabilities and not to his passing) but I am sure he continues to pray in silence. Thank yiu for this lovely post.

Joe it means a great deal to us to have these details. Thank you. Precious in the eyes of the Lord are the deaths of his faithful ones. Luke has shown us the way with his faith and love and endurance. I cant help but think Our Lady even now is preparing a celebration for him. The details about his older children keeping vigil with him brings tears to my eyes. His room is a holy place and this is a holy dying. God bless you. And God bless Josie and the the children and above all God bless Luke. Prayers continuing.

I've heard that many people have received heavenly consolation in the form of visitations from Jesus, Mary, Saints, or deceased loved ones in the days prior to their death. I know that my grandfather and mother in law had such visits. I can only imagine the beatific visions that Luke might be blessed with to strengthen him for his journey and to give him a foretaste of his heavenly reward.
We truly have a loving and generous God!

I truly do believe than anyone who has a real and true devotion to Our Lady gets to meet her on their death bed.

    How could it be otherwise?
