If Girkin is such a shadowy secret agent as this blogger you cite believes, then how do you know he is not engaged in what secret agents do best: diversion and disinformation. How can you take a word he says as true. Maybe he is a double-agent working for Kiev. Maybe there are "two-Girkins." LOL!

Well, I'm going to step away from this discussion too. Just to clarify, from what I've read in the MOG forum it seems to be a majority opinion that Russia has not been consecrated. I agree, and backed it up with a quote from Cardinal Ratzinger that confirms this belief. Regarding Richard's opinion and the way it biases his analysis of Putin and Russia's current actions I stated

And I still think that is a correct assessment as there are no good guys in this Ukraine - Russia dispute.

 

Truth is not determined by consensus. The Church authorities have spoken authoritatively and definitively on the matter of the Consecration, citing Sister Lucia's own words. I'll take their word over yours.

Again, where is the outrage from Catholics in Ukraine over Poroshenko's unjust war against the Donbass and Western meddling in their affairs? Answer: there is none, only silence.

I do not consider Putin my "beloved." I do not know the man. I certainly do not think he is the monster that Neoconservatives and Team Obama have painted him to be. I certainly do not believe he is the agressor in the Ukrainian conflict, as Neoconservatives and Team Obama have painted him to be.

Strange as it may seem to our Western sensibilities, Mr. Putin is the last Christian leader of a Superpower. Hard to believe? On Friday a spokesman for Ukraine’s National Security Council, Andrey Lysenko, has announced that Russia has sent 32 tanks, 16 howitzers, 30 trucks of ammunition and three trucks with radar equipment to rebel-held areas – offering no evidence of his claim.

After the news made headlines in the western media, NATO rushed to reassure the press that the alliance was aware and“looking into these reports,” which if confirmed “would be further evidence of Russia's aggression.”

Now, Fatima, as to how the separatists ended up with Russian hardware, that is no secret: they captured it from Ukrainian units they defeated. As I am sure you are well aware, Fatima, the Ukrainian Army uses Russian tanks, planes, guns, etc.

As to the allegations that some Russians have been fighting alongside the separatists, this is no secret: even the Kremlin does not deny it. Many Russians are from the Donbass and have family there, so it would only natural for them to defend their friends and family. But there is no evidence of regular Russian army units operating in Ukraine. If the Russian army was in Ukraine, there would be no doubt about it. Putin acted in Crimea because he calculated that he could do so with minimal loss of life. The reason he has not yet intervened in the Donbass is because he must have calculated much higher casualties - on both sides - if there were to be an actual hot war between the Ukrainian and Russian field armies, which he does not want, since Russians view Kiev as the "birthplace of the Rus" and have friends and family in Ukraine. But Putin must also have calculated the point at which the civilian death toll in the Donbass requires Russian intervention; I think he is still hoping Poroshenko will do the right thing and voluntarily end his unjust war against the Donbass.

Russian media has announced the government is preparing for war.
Russia Today reports the country now has a new fortified national defense facility located in Moscow that “would take control of the entire country in case of war.” The cost of the project is estimated at several billion dollars.
“The creation of NDCC [National Defense Control Center] was one of the biggest military projects of the past few years. The closest analogy in the past in terms of functions and tasks was the Commander-in-Chief HQ in 1941-45, which centralized all controls of both the military machine and the economy of the nation in the interests of the war,” Lt. General Mikhail Mizintsev, the NDCC chief, said during an interview.
The National Defense Control Center replaces an old facility that monitored nuclear weapons deployment by the West. It is compared to the U.S. National Military Command Center located deep inside the Pentagon that provides the Joint Chiefs with worldwide situation monitoring and crisis management.
In addition to a number of large war rooms and an underground complex, the facility hosts a state-of-the-art supercomputer, RT reports. Described as “very robust,” the computer network features data encryption and numerous backup sites located around the country that will keep the center functional even if its main facility in Moscow is damaged by an enemy attack or sabotage.
In 2013 Russia reported a Stuxnet attack on one of its nuclear power plants. Stuxnet is malware designed by the United States and Israel and was used to attack Iran’s nuclear program.

The West has accused Russia of launching cyber attacks against NATO, EU ministries and Wall Street. In November, the Department of Homeland Security accused the Ruusians of inserting trohjan horse malware in critical U.S. infrastructure computers. It said the malware “is poised to cause an economic catastrophe,” ABC News reported.
In 2001 the Pentagon declared a cyber attack on U.S. networks would be considered an act of war. The U.S. considers Russia and China as primary adversaries.
Russian president Putin has accused the United States of rekindling the so-called Cold War in the wake of developments in Ukraine. In October he said his country will resist any attack by using all means at its disposal, including the nuclear option.
“The US is now seen in Moscow as irredeemable and determined to destroy Russia, which must resist by reinforcing and rearming its military, investing in technological independence (the so-called import replacement or ‘importozamescheniye’), and by building a world-wide anti-US alliance,” the globalist Jamestown Foundation reports.
