Oh no!! Is the government making any effort to put things into place, track those who are infecting? I am so sorry. I fear we will all be seeing our own headlines soon
So evil! Social engineers arrogantly working their will for what they believe to be for the best. Wicked.
Right now, we don't really have a government. Our recent election left us with a 'hung' parliament and the various parties seem incapable of forming a new government...perhaps it's for the best.
I think it unlikely that a few lozenges would cause an overdose. Vitamin D is the only health supplement I take and I probably wouldn't need that if we had a few more hours of sunshine per day. Thanks Arby. The advice you have shared is helpful. Italy's current death rate from confirmed cases of the virus is two or three per cent which is much higher than the death rate of the common 'flu. That percentage would likely reduce if there were more widespread testing in Italy, giving more confirmed cases and a higher recovery rate. I don't see, however, what real difference that makes to the danger of Covid-19 because I'm sure that many people get a mild version of the common 'flu every year and don't go to the doctor so their numbers are not included in the statistics. It is troubling and I find it very annoying because I have relatives who are high risk. One of them is taking at face value the "wash your hands" advice and going about her business as usual because she has plenty of supplies in for emergencies. An emergency to her would be her next door neighbour being carted off by people in hazmat suits. When she goes shopping she goes from supermarket to supermarket and shop to shop. She can't wash her hands between shops and there's zero chance of her not touching her face before she gets home and washes her hands. She has sanitiser but I don't believe for a minute that she would remember to use it as often as she should. I have some sympathy for the government and people in charge of contolling the spread of the virus here. They have to balance concern for public health with managing the economy, so in some ways they're between a rock and a hard place. Right now, I feel that they could give more attention to public health but that's because people I care about are especially vulnerable. I might have a different attitude if I weren't so worried about my own loved ones. Someone in England died from the virus today. The patient had heart trouble and already the message is being put out that he or she died with coronavirus rather than of it. They don't say whetheer the person would be alive today if he or she hadn't contracted the virus. Three weeks ago, Italy had only about three confirmed cases of the virus. That gives an idea of how quickly it spreads. Padre Pio's "pray, hope and don't worry" didn't stop him founding a hospital to treat the sick.
Have you a photo of a skinny greyhound? Because the other apocalyptic horse is Famine. You know, plagues of locusts; fall armyworms; African Swine Fever; broken supply chains and all the other ingredients that are falling into place. There is a report tonight on ZeroHedge, which must be taken with a pinch of salt, that some scientists have discovered that there is a genetic component to the COVID 19 virus that makes it more virulent for Asians compared to Europeans and Africans. Curiouser and curiouser. My hunch is that the Chicoms were developing a biological weapon to constrain their own people, in the event of the Hong Kong protests becoming widespread. There are video-clips (also on ZH) of the deputy PM of China being booed and accused of lying by the people in Wuhan as he conducted a PR visit.
That's when you use the Texas option: Dig a big pit behind Bobby's Bar-B-Q 'n' Beer, fill it about 30 cm (12 inches) with mud, give each of those MPs a spork, and shove them in. The party that comes out with the fewest number of MPs that have been ... (ahem) dis-Membered ... gets to form a government. Also, IIRC, Ireland has socialized medicine, correct? Which means someone somewhere is keeping track of who has what. Whether or not they're actually DOING something with that information is another question.
Ireland is not yet a week into having its first case yet already we have community transmission. Are we reaping what we sowed?
Are there any devotional prayers that go with it apart from the Holy Rosary itself? Hail Mary, full of grace!
Here's a link to the 54 day rosary novena. They do the whole rosary with the 27 days of petition and then keep scrolling down and they do the 27 days of thanksgiving with the prayers. The Rosary Novena to Our Lady
As far as the USA is concerned, I was disturbed when Vice-President Pence was asked if non-insured persons would be offered free testing for coronavirus, he simply walked out of the press briefing without saying anything. O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!
Well, our state governor is on the tv right now with a press conference announcing that Maryland has confirmed three Coronavirus cases, all related to travel abroad. He has declared a state of emergency.
Ya. But I have since learned that all three were on the same international cruise, returned toward end of February, and are now recovering. The investigation begins over their activities and contacts since their return to Maryland. Will keep you posted. The health officer told people to call ahead to the hospital if you think you are sick with the virus so they can get their protective gear ready for your arrival there.
