It sure seems like some are hoping for one that's for sure. IMO 2008 never ended and although the economy is doing better with more people working and increased wages it is still very much propped up by qualitative easing and the fed manipulation of rates has never stopped or even decreased to allow market forces to begin to balance out. I don't think we will see a collapse though. Rates will continue to go down and there will be a huge wave of mortgage refi's that will help keep things afloat near term. Also the decreased rates will spur businesses to borrow and hopefully reinvest in the US but all this comes at the expense of people who actually do the right thing by saving and living prudently. They won't have many options other than stocks soon. Also, we have all those company matched retirement 401k's buying stock monthly and pumping up the markets.
As MarkMallet of www.markmallet.com states: Economic collapse, followed by Social collapse (riots, fires, etc), followed by Political collapse(your govt collapses, your police are gone, its all gone) **E.S.P** The details are up to God, yes economic collapse soon, 3-6 months or 2-3 years etc, etc. As far as preparation goes: 1) food 2)water 3) cash in small denominations ($20 bills). No guarantee your bank will be open eventually or that the servers/ internet will work. This all fits within Catholic prophecy of what is known as the 'little chastisement' Read book by Desmond Birch: Trial,Tribulation and Triumph The little chastisement is not the second coming, but the end of this era. People who comment on Catholic Prophecy should have 10+ years of discernment/experience in this area. Sort of like a ship captain navigating 40 ft. plus seas, he needs experience. I have been reading the books, going to the websites for 20 years. This is the real deal. The end of the tower of Babylon, the end of this era.
Economic , Social , Political Collapse I dont get the Picaretta stuff either, be he has been given a mission. Much like Padraig has been given a mission, this website, which doesnt mean all his prophetic dreams, or thoughts from prayer are true.
I like Chris M. Thanks for the links. Don’t lose hope in God, or lose sight of the fact that prayer and penance can mitigate the effects/spread of this virus. I’m not sure it will come back, and I think it will fade away. I am not sure and I don’t really think anyone knows anything for certain, just mho. (That includes the experts)
Unfortunately you are correct. The coronovirus is only one part of what is upon us and I would highly urge folks not to focus just on this outbreak. Rather step back and look at the big picture of what is unfolding now, watch carefully what is to come and think long term. Don't lose sight of the forest for the trees...but please understand the events are upon us
Desmond Birch referred to there. Birch has always been very cautious and measured. There might be total economic collapse in the indicated time-frame, then again there might not. However, it does seem inevitable that it will eventually happen. The debt crisis of 2008 was resolved by issuing even more debt and the world possesses far more debt now than in the last crisis. Contrary to this new-fangled MMT, I can't get my head around how this can last.
Well, going on the basis of the message given to Sr Agnes in early October, 2019, I can understand the situation is dire.
There is definitely a ramping up of events, no doubt about it. The ramping up has been happening, in my mind, for about two years, almost. The time in between events and trials is almost non-existent. Used to be a person could catch one's breath after a severe trial, but not these days. I am talking about on a personal as well as a national and world-wide level. I know I'm not the only person who feels this way.
I find that I have far more peace of mind when I avoid the news, especially the political stuff. We really don't know the half of what really goes on and in some ways we're probably better off not knowing it. I only began watching the TV news again when people in Italy died of the coronavirus. Someone sent me that video of our President as a joke because I had their ears worn off warning them to be prepared. While most people in Europe have been focused on the virus, Erdogan of Turkey has been pushing for more military action in Syria. That would be headline news if the virus weren't attracting more viewers. It's a potential powder keg and that nutcase will cause a world war to get a slice of Syria. He has already caused a new flood of migrants into Europe. Fair dues to the Greeks for telling it like it is. It remains to be seen how the powers that be in the EU will handle it especially with Brexit close to being a done deal. I think I'll go back to avoiding the news. No doubt someone will tell me if there's anything important I need to know about Covid-19.

The reason? It's allegedly flu season, and the leadership of the parish is supposedly worried that Communion on the tongue could spread illness. Normally, Communion in the hand is a liturgical abuse, and it can't ever be forced onto the faithful who wish to receive on the tongue. But what about in such cases of apparent health risk or emergency? Do these concerns provide a sufficient reason to make an exception? Not if you ask the Vatican's Congregation for Divine Worship (CDW). Here's its response to a question posed by a British Catholic in 2009 after his diocese restricted Communion on the tongue out of fear of the Swine flu. The letter cites paragraph 92 of the CDW's instruction "Redemptionis Sacramentum." That same paragraph goes on to permit Communion in the hand "in areas where the Bishops' Conference with the recognitio of the Apostolic See has given permission." However, it adds, "If there is a risk of profanation, then Holy Communion should not be given in the hand to the faithful." Proponents of the traditional practice of Communion on the tongue often assert that there's always such a risk. They commonly point out that there's no protection against someone who wishes to sneak off with the Precious Body of Christ without consuming It. There's also a greater risk that the Host is dropped. One risk that isn't as well known, though, is that any time the Eucharist is held in one's hands, fragments almost inevitably break off onto the skin. This presents a high risk of profanation, since, as the Council of Trent teaches, the Real Presence of Our Lord is in every particle of the Host. If any one saith, that, after the consecration is completed, the Body and Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ are not in the admirable sacrament of the Eucharist, but (are there) only during the use, whilst it is being taken, and not either before or after; and that, in the Hosts, or consecrated particles, which are reserved or which remain after Communion, the true Body of the Lord remaineth not; let him be anathema (Session 13, canon 4). One man has demonstrated the problem by testing the practice with unconsecrated hosts. The results showed that most times he took the bread into his hands, pieces of it remained — pieces that a typical communicant would usually brush off unknowingly. Anyone who, knowing this, doesn't consider it a big deal presumably wouldn't take it to be a problem if the whole Host were dropped on the ground and forgotten — because there's no difference between that and a small fragment that falls to the floor. I avoid the news. Recently for Lent. A lovely old French priest I knew long ago said "why read the world's news? Read God's news!" And I find I too am more peaceful following his advice.. I agree with you that we dont know the half of what is really going on. Today I went to the Monastery I love to visit down on the coast and saw our beloved Fr John. It centered me back where I need to be. He is so calm and joyful although quite certain we have "entered in" according to the secretary in his office. He is quite taken up with Akita and the message to Sister Agnes last October. I prayed for all forum members and entered names in the intercession book. The monks pray over the intentions. It was very restorative to be there.
