Does anyone have a link to the local bishop's statements? The prayers etc could be approved by the local ordinary which would be a positive sign, but unless the actual apparitions were approved it would be wrong to call them approved apparitions The Miracle Hunter site which seems to be very accurate lists this apparition as "no decision". He usually will list if the local Bishop has made any statements even if they are not final or official declarations. http://www.miraclehunter.com/marian_apparitions/unapproved_apparitions/index.html
Wow! I am going to get one. I love coffee and am off the drink for Lent, so this will do me for camping. How clever.
This is it. But they'll lock up the Churches like a shot at the first Sign of Plague; guaranteed. They would be afraid not to do so would make them look bad. God forbid they should ever, ever look bad for not doing or saying the, 'Right thing'. The only thing that would slow them down is the fact that no money would be coming in. My own Bishop reclines in a Security Tight Gated 5 million pounds ($6.4 mill) exclusive mansion with its very own extensive garden (mini park). I doubt very much if that will be closing down for plague, the media can say what they like about that one. Here is a few of the opulent mysterious edifice from google maps: https://www.google.com/maps/uv?hl=en&pb=!1s0x4861095e5c84ac1d:0x2f33e182fe71f2c3!3m1!7e115!4s/maps/place/down+and+connor+breen+house/@54.6314275,-5.935346,3a,75y,148.37h,90t/data=*213m4*211e1*213m2*211s9My_YOa6W3Qz7puamG3fag*212e0*214m2*213m1*211s0x4861095e5c84ac1d:0x2f33e182fe71f2c3?sa=X!5sdown and connor breen house - Google Search!15sCAQ&imagekey=!1e2!2s9My_YOa6W3Qz7puamG3fag&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiQs72r8PfnAhV-QEEAHeCABeAQpx8wE3oECBkQCw Nice work if you can get it.
I read something about her to the effect that what she was saying didn't contradict the faith. As far as I can remember, that was from her local Bishop and I'm pretty sure that he also said something about waiting until apparitions/messages/locutions had stopped before giving any official approval of them. It's standard procedure in the Church to withhold formal approval of ongoing private revelation. I believe, therefore, that it is misleading to say that her apparitions/locutions/prophecies are approved by the Church. Saying that something is not contrary to the faith or giving permission for something to be printed is not the same as saying that Heaven is the source. She does appear to have support from some Bishops because there are videos on youtube of her giving talks in various parish churches.
I would like to see any such statements by Her bidhop. I have looked and found none. There have been false, later condemned apparitions that enjoyed support and even promotion from distant Bishops. One Bishop in particular seemed to support neerly all alleged visionaries. Here is what one site posted... Imprimatur from the Catholic Bishop Juan Abelardo Mata, of Nicaragua, who after reading all the content of the messages, from 2009 to September 2017, and prayer books, found nothing against the Faith or sound doctrine, recommending the reading of the revelations to all Christians. In addition, Bishop Emeritus of San Vicente (El Salvador), Monsignor José Oscar Barahona Castillo, granted an Imprimatur for the prayer of the Holy Spirit. These are both positive signs. However, Neither of these Bishops has the authority to rule on the authenticity of the apparitions. Perhaps the forum member here who stated that they are approved by her Bishop was misled or was confused by the fact that other Bishops had made statements. I try to be careful not to make judgments or statements about yet to be ruled on apparitions.
I was chatting with a few friends today after a wonderful hike. Some were suggesting they had seen or heard it was a WMD released or sent to China originally and released beyond. That would explain why some are coming down with it without related connection to other carriers. Or a tactic of Chinese origin meant to further control population that got out of control. Communist country..... We can only imagine (or not) what Our Lady has referred to by some of her references to Chastisements. That might also explain if Trump does know something more than he's saying.
In Medjugorje it is only given on the tongue . I need to receive no matter what. Once I have a condo, you know I'll be opening to Mass in my home if need ever comes.
In The Archdiocese of Atlanta, as of March 2, there will be no receiving the Precious Blood until further notice. Handshaking at the Kiss of Peace is discouraged but not forbidden. We did this several years ago when the flu was especially nasty.
Great attitude. Let people make thier own Faith/ common sensed based decisions. Don't make the decisions for them. It people want to step out in Faith on this thing , why not let them? Goodness knows big Government will making huge life changing decisions for us from now on in; we don't need our Bishops going down the same road. There seems to be an on going assumption that people really, really need to be controlled and told what to do. As though they were imbecilic children.
From this point on Big Government will get bigger and bigger controlling every aspect of our lives. I suspect this virus was planned for just this outcome. Fear makes people total putty in the hands of the powerful. People will be scared senseless and will turn into jellyfish. Their backbones will fly away like snow in summer. A for instance President Trump will not be reelected now and they will have the most voracious mind controlling Liberals in the Saddle in Washington that the world has ever seen. They will make Mao Tse Tung look like amateur night.
It will be the same thing all over the World. Big, Big Government, Protective Custody and the Thought Police.
I"ve been declining the handshake for some time now, because I have chronic sinusitis (constant stuffy nose). I usually don't carry hand sanitizer, so if I need to blow my nose I don't touch anything until I can wash/use sanitizer. I'll probably change that after the flu season ends. Tonight at Mass, I noticed that the deacon with the Precious Blood was standing in the Communion line with very, very few people taking it. After Mass I went to him and commented on this. I told him I took the wine because I figured it was like Lourdes: At the end of the day, all of the volunteers who have been helping the sick into the pools, would each take and drink a cup of the bathwater as a sign of faith: that they would not "catch" any of the diseases that the pilgrims sought relief from.
I was about to post this very long correction when I read your post............. Disregard everything I said in my previous post. I've done another search on youtube and can't find any videos of the lady speaking in parish churches. The only video I can find of her speaking in any church is at a conference in Nicaragua in 2017 where, according to the info given about the video, she was speaking in Catedral de Estelí, Nicaragua. I don't know whether that is a Catholic cathedral. Here's a link to it: https://youtu.be/1uLTZkP6sYk. Neither can I find any direct quotes from her Bishop. I did find an Aleteia article about Luz de Maria and another "seer" named Giorgio Bongiovanni, and after reading it I will stay well clear of any Luz de Maria messages: https://es.aleteia.org/2015/08/05/g...luz-de-maria-un-mar-de-confusion-religiosa/3/ The article is in Spanish. It's four pages long, the first two pages are about Giorgio Bongiovanni and the remainder of the article is about Luz de Maria. Apparently, Bongiovanni has claimed to be a reincarnation of one of the Fatima children and has made some predictions about the end of the world which didn't happen. He seems to be a weirdo who mixes New Age stuff about aliens with Christianity. I'll quote the Google translation of the part of the article about Luz de Maria. (As often happens with computer generated translations into English, pronouns can be hit and miss). Giorgio Bongiovanni and Luz de María: A sea of religious confusion Both say they promote the message of Fatima, but attention, there is more Luz de María, who is she? Luz de María was born in Costa Rica, but resides in Argentina. It is an alleged seer who claims to receive messages from the Virgin Mary and Jesus, in which he mixes typical elements of known private revelations, such as the call to conversion to Jesus Christ and a more intense prayer life, with elements taken from the new pagan religiosity. For some time now it has generated a doctrinal salad where elements of Catholic doctrine are mixed with the spirituality of the New Age. The "seer" has lectured alongside the stigmatized Giorgio Bongiovanni, who mixes devotion to Fatima with aliens, reincarnation and the Gnosticism of the New Age. In a recent conference they shared, Luz de María said that the Virgin suffered greatly when the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah happened, expressing that Mary exists since the beginning of humanity. What kind of existence was that? A kind of divinization of the Virgin that makes her preexisting to her life on earth? In the same conference he also spoke of the evil one and said: "the devil does not need to tempt man, because he is out of the earth quietly, because man has overcome the devil in evil." The list of statements of this kind in his writings and conferences are endless, but all of them are adorned with Catholic language, such as: "Beloved children of my immaculate heart, love my Son ...", but the Son has little to do with him. Jesus of the Gospel and of the Catholic faith. Beyond the doctrinal confusions that appear in his messages, his speech also falls in the common places of so many pseudo-viewers and apparitionist movements, warning of obvious things, such as natural catastrophes, wars, terrorist attacks, infidelities within religious institutions, the crisis of the family, economic injustices, persecution of Christians and environmental pollution. To announce these things you don't need to be a seer. And to cover any criticism, he warns that they will not believe him and that he will be persecuted or criticized and that would be a sign of something that Jesus warned him. Technique used by all kinds of pseudoprofetas to prevent their faithful, before they are criticized or examined. It is possible that he is sincere and all his speech is created piously, but the truth is that he falls into common places and mixes doctrines of diverse origin, contrary to the Catholic faith. On June 18, in a radio interview in Argentina, he affirmed that man "is changing the divine DNA", in an emanationist conception of creation, where environmental pollution would be affecting the very nature of the divine. He then warns that humanity has entered the path of perdition and great punishments are coming. Like so many paranoid groups, he affirms that the antichrist will be at the head of the Church: "The antichrist will come to take together with his ally, the Throne of Peter on earth." (Message given by the Virgin on 5-6-2013) On its website it has a place dedicated especially to the extraterrestrial theme, in the same line as Bongiovanni. It has translated into several languages its endless messages that constantly repeat the same themes, in apocalyptic tone. His relationship with Bongiovanni is not very clear in his messages, but he has begun to acquire his language and doctrines. Surely Luz de María remained at the beginning of her messages within the Catholic faith, but lately she uses the same Bongiovanni vocabulary, she even refers to the groups as “Arcas”, as well as “the stigmatized one”.
Yes. I did explain that computer generated translations don't always get the pronouns right. That seems to be especially problematic with translations from Spanish to English. I quoted from a Google translation of an article written in Spanish. The part I quoted is about Luz de Maria, so I think it's safe to assume that the translated pronoun should read "she" rather than "he".
