Agree, strange. I know Ireland has been very busy advertising for the tourist season where I live, I see ‘come to Ireland’ commercials every night. If international visitors had to be vaxxed, it would certainly have a negative effect on tourism.
These theories on his meeting are completely baseless. With all the PF has said regarding this issue over the last 2 years it should lead us to think that he was hoping to influence this corporation to do more for the poorer nations like openly share its copyright to allow them to make the vaccine much cheaper. He has openly called for this and yet instead it's being smeared as some nefarious plot.
This is a very good point. I had wondered if the meeting was perhaps being unfairly assumed as negative when maybe he just wanted to learn more about the vaccine and decide whether he should recommend it to Catholics. I know a connection is being made that China sent a lot of money to the Vatican...but as far as I could see, details haven't been given and I don't know if there's proof of a link. I feel like so little actual information has been given, while a lot of assumptions are being made. I do think we need to be cautious about slander... Sadly, we're already trying to weather so much scandal and it's difficult enough explaining what we DO know. It would profit us and others more to spend more time in silence and prayer.
Sadly, the Vatican mandated most of it’s employees to take the abortion tainted vaccine or lose their jobs. They did not allow for anyone to refuse the vaccine because of their personal moral objection to the vaccine. Instead, the pope spoke of the “ moral obligation “ of taking it. I find this position morally offensive both from a personal and catholic perspective. No man, person or pope is perfect and all are capable of making extremely serious mistakes. I for one, do not believe it is wrong to question or call out anyone for making policy decisions that can affect the world negatively. For the Vatican to not allow their employees to exercise their right of conscience is morally offensive. Pope Francis secretly met with abortion-pushing Pfizer CEO twice last year https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/p...-abortion-pushing-pfizer-ceo-twice-last-year/ “Pope Francis has also regularly pushed for people to take the COVID shots, with his rhetoric becoming even stronger in recent days when he spoke of the “moral obligation” of taking the abortion-tainted injections. In August 2021, Francis notably joined a number of cardinals in issuing a public service announcement video, saying the shots bring “hope” of an end to the pandemic and called receiving the vaccine “an act of love.” Three Swiss Guards quit over Pope’s COVID vaccine mandate https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/three-swiss-guards-quit-over-popes-covid-vaccine-mandate/ “ According to Religion News Service, “the pope also referenced cardinals who are skeptical about the vaccine and hoped they could be persuaded through dialogue and with evidence.” Many Catholics have chosen not to take the shots due to their close ties with abortion. J&J’s shot was directly produced in the human fetal cell line PER.C6, which was derived from retinal tissue taken from an 18-week-old baby boy who was aborted in the Netherlands in 1985 and converted into a fetal cell line in 1995. Meanwhile, Moderna and Pfizer both used cell lines derived from aborted babies for testing. The abortion-connections and coercive strategies used to enforce inoculation have led Bishop Joseph Strickland of Tyler, Texas, to condemn COVID jab mandates, saying he will never “take a vaccine that I believe is wrong.” The aborted fetal cells in the vaccines does not appear to bother this pope,” wrote Canadian physician Dr. Zoltan P. Rona, M.D., in response to the resignations of the Swiss Guards following the Vatican “vaccine” mandate.”
University’s attorneys defend aborted baby parts research as ‘fully compliant’ with state, federal laws “The horrifying research that has been deemed to be ‘legal’ In December 2020, LifeSite reported that the University of Pittsburgh had been conducting medical research by grafting scalps from aborted babies onto rodents. After publishing an article in the National Catholic Register about the many ways that aborted children are being used for scientific research at major universities and hospitals in the United States, author Stacy A. Trasancos tweeted a summary of her horrifying findings. She linked the shocking research to COVID czar Dr. Anthony Fauci: Aborted baby scalps grafted onto mice. Their organs transplanted. Humanized mice developed at the University of Pittsburgh, all to study the immune system. Supported by Dr. Fauci’s NIAID. Paid for by us. Trasancos is executive director of Bishop Joseph Strickland’s St. Philip Institute of Catechesis and Evangelization in the Diocese of Tyler, Texas. Bishop Strickland retweeted her report, declaring: These are crimes against humanity that should be prosecuted. Silence in the face of these atrocities simply adds to the evil. Wake up America! Demand that this stops NOW! A few months later during the spring of 2021, a six-minute video produced by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) uncovered more horrifying research at Pitt. “ Anthony Fauci, Chelsea Clinton to speak at Vatican health conference https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/...clinton-to-speak-at-vatican-health-conference WATCH: University experiments on aborted baby parts, funding linked to Fauci https://www.preciouslife.com/news/1...n-aborted-baby-parts-funding-linked-to-fauci/ Fauci was invited to the Vatican conference as a speaker….! Our world is growing desensitized to the horror of abortion. To have it legitimized for any medical procedure or accepted as antidote for this Covid virus is a victory for Satan. To suggest that we have a moral duty to get it is repugnant in my opinion. Yes, God have mercy on us. I personally haven’t done enough to end this….
It is repugnant and horrific. My point was that I think we'll do more to end such evil by prayer, fasting and sacrifice than by engaging in constant slander against the pope. Our Lady has appeared over and over and over through the last century to warn us of these times and beg us to listen and change.... But she never pointed out the personal faults and evils of our prelates... She asked us to pray and atone for ourselves and others, to amend our own lives. I've been pondering on this.
Most people on this forum pray regularly for the Pope. It's not slander to discuss some of the reasons why he's so pro vaccine. My non practising son was able to quote the Pope at me when I refused to get the Astra Zeneca vaccine because of moral objections (he was desiring I get it because of my grandson). So, it is an issue that has impacted on me directly. And I will never forget the disdain by which I was treated by my son because of the teaching of this Pope. Pope Francis is wrong to mandate the vaccine at the Vatican. He is wrong to say it is a moral obligation to get it. There you go I disagree with this Pope on the vaccine and my conscience is clear. And I pray the rosary for him.
It is not slander if it is truth. If repeating what the pope himself has said and condoning is slander then he has done it to himself. Simple sharing what he himself authorized is slander??? I don’t this so. I’m not repeating lies… that would be slander. The pope told the world these things, therefore he slandered himself. You are not obligated to keep silent in the face of evil. It’s a moral obligation to speak out. The pope is human… not God. We are praying and have been for this pope. Prayer without works is dead. No more silence while babies are being sacrificed. Bishop Strickland has the truth and is against this. Time will vindicate him and all those who opposed this evil vaccine. People are dying because of it and who knows what future horrors it will cause. For the pope to mandate it was worse than wrong.
Pope Francis’ quote on the vaccine has been weaponized. It has caused so much suffering for the faithful who have refused the shots. I continue to pray for our Holy Father. May God have mercy on our Church.
I suppose I am very cautious in my statements about any priest including the Pope. No doubt that we can disagree in certain areas especially in these worldly (not matter of church doctrine) areas. But I still like to give deference and respect - not b/c I agree or think it’s a matter of blind obedience. To me it comes down to no matter how awful they might be as men..they still mysteriously are consecrated to Jesus- only their hands and words can turn bread and wine into the body and blood of Jesus Christ. So, when I think of this… it causes me to be in a sense cautious for my own soul- not sure if that makes sense to you all. Again, I think we can and should very respectively speak our minds but with understanding these men belong to God. and I will add… I’m not happy with vaccine mandate at Vatican and other dioceses in world. But tbh I’m more disappointed and against the lockdowns of Churches that occurred with full cooperation of bishops and the Church. This has caused irreparable harm … it essentially stated that the Church and its priests are not essential. It stated we are more concerned with life here and not the life to come. I see the results of this decision in my kids… who think going to Mass, receiving sacraments , especially the Eucharist is optional and essential to their immortal souls. This came from and through the bishops and Church. I was very blessed that a very wise priest in my area said he complied with lockdown but as luck would have it… the lock on Church doors was broken so if people showed up to the Mass he did, how could he say leave. we need to be sly as foxes at times.
I believe this comes first. (Prayer and fasting)Then if there is a call to go and fight we go and fight.
I'm not saying anyone here is committing slander by discussing what's going on. I was thinking of all the YouTube shows constantly speculating and attributing negative motives to the holy father when we're not absolutely sure. I just think we should be careful. We don't know everything, and we don't know his heart.
