On one of the audios I was listening to this morning about the messages of Medjugorhe, the 'friend of Medjugorje' spoke of the power of consecration prayer that you can consecrate your work to our Lady. I have been struggling with tiredness for the last few weeks not ideal for a teacher as the kids have a way of exploiting any chinks in your armour. So I consecrated my job today to our Lady and handed her over my tiredness. I was also fasting today as it is Wednesday. The day went better than could be expected - I got a great response from all the kids I taught but what was remarkable looking back on today was that the tiredness left me and I taught with 'joy in my heart'. This is my 23rd year in teaching and only now have I learnt to consecrate my vocation as a teacher to our Blessed Mother. So each day I go to work I will be consecrating my day to her Immaculate Heart!.
Its really amazing the power such consecrations have. I try to remember every morning to make the morning offering. O Jesus, through the most pure Heart of Mary, I offer Thee all the prayers, works, sufferings and joys of this day for all the intentions of Thy Sacred Heart
garabandal, Back in 1987 when Geralyn and I took our family to Medjugorje, the Caritas of Birmingham community was in its infancy. The Friend of Medjugorje of whom you've been speaking is its founder and he also happened to be our guide for that pilgrimage. It's a small world! He has many good publications and wise observations. My favorite is his book called, Look What Happened While You Were Sleeping. It contains a challenging perspective on keeping holy the Lord's Day, among other eye-openers. Safe in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary!
