Hope it is ok to share another Novena in Honour of Jesus as True King. It might appeal to some. Say one Our Father, one Hail Mary and one Glory be on each of the nine days along with the following. O Lord our God, You alone are the Most Holy King and Ruler of all nations. We pray to You, Lord, in the great expectations of receiving from You, O Divine King, mercy, peace, justice and all good things. Protect, O Lord our King, our families and the land of our birth. Guard us, we pray, Most Faithful One! Protect us from our enemies and from Your Just Judgement. Forgive us, O Sovereign King, our sins against You. Jesus, You are a King of Mercy. We have deserved Your just Judgement. Have mercy on us, Lord, and forgive us. We trust in Your Great Mercy. O most awe-inspiring King, we bow before You and pray; may Your Reign, Your Kingdom, be recognised on earth! Amen. Jesus has attached beautiful promises to this prayer, so a Novena must be even more awesome. Jesus said, "I Promise you that every time you say these Novena prayers. I will convert ten sinners, bring ten souls into the One True Faith, release ten souls from Purgatory, many of whom are the souls of Priests, and mitigate the severity of the chastisements upon your country." I often wonder if it is prayers like this that bring about the conversion of muslims who see Jesus and are converted.
Thank you Julia, that novena is beautiful. I started the novena I posted but the only thing I didn't like about it was the lack of traditional prayers to go along with it, so I just add the Glory-be, Our Father and Hail Mary My hope is others join in this beautiful novena to "Christ our King" so sorely needed in these days distress. God Bless
I'm in. Thanks to Sunburst and Julia. Hope someone will post a daily reminder to keep this thread near the top of the most recent list.

The full name for the Feast of Christ the King is “Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe.” What a name! One thing that is striking about it is how strange it sounds to modern ears. He’s the “King”? And “of the Universe”? But that shouldn’t surprise us. As Scripture says, “God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.” (1 Cor 1.27) Here are 6 truths illuminated by the fact that Christ is the King of universe that the world just can’t understand: 1) Jesus is the King There’s only one King, and it’s Jesus. The universe is ultimately not a democracy. There is no parliament or committee. Jesus is the sole absolute ruler. This has some implications: 2) Jesus is the King of everyone, not just Christians Notice that Jesus is King of the universe, not simply the Church or all Christians. Whether a person worships Jesus or not, or even believes he exists, he is their King. Other religions or worldviews that deny this are not simply different but are wrong. As Scripture says, Jesus has “the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2.9-11) 3) Jesus surpasses our allegiances to all earthly powers As the King of the Universe, Jesus is higher than allearthly powers. That includes the most powerful and highest temporal rulers of our lands. Christians are called to humbly honor and obey their rulers – unless they contradict the laws of Christ. That’s why the Church is often one of martyrs. As St. Thomas More famously said before he was executed for refusing to falsely acknowledge King Henry VIII as the supreme head of the Church in England, “I die the King’s good servant, but God’s first.” 4) Denying Christ’s Kingship is fatal to any worldview If Jesus is the King of the Universe, above all other powers, then this is one of the most important facts about the world. Any worldview, secular or religious, that denies it will be wrong at its foundation and will inevitably lead to all sorts of further errors. 5) We are not our own If Jesus is King of the Universe, then not only are temporal rulers subject to him, but so are our individual wills. We do not own ourselves. We cannot just “do what we want.” Instead, we must submit our whole lives to his service and glory. As Scripture says, “You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” (1 Cor 6.19-20) 6) The fact that Jesus is King is good news! This might be the hardest thing of all for the world understand. The fact that Jesus is the King, that temporal powers are subject to him, and that we are all called to submit our hearts and wills to him – all of this is extremely good news! This is because Jesus is love itself. He is the good. By submitting ourselves to him, we are pursuing the highest good we possibly can.

The last day of The Christ the King Novena and Today's HeartLight Verse seem to dovetail well: Heartlight Daily Verse 25 November Colossians 3:17 Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Thoughts on today's verse: Everything! All! No matter what we say, no matter what we do, it is to be offered as a gift of thanks to God with Jesus' name, power, and honor attached! This makes all of life our worship and thanksgiving to God. There's no such thing as going to worship; if we live, if we talk, if we act it's worship. So how has your worship been lately? Prayer: Almighty and Most Holy God, I want all of my life to be lived out to your glory, a living testament of thanks to you for the grace you have given me in Jesus. While I do not always do this as well as I would like, I lovingly offer you my words, my actions, my heart and my mind to bring you glory by doing your will. Please, use your Spirit to remove the areas of self-deception from my life so that weakness and hypocrisy will not rob my discipleship of its intended worship of your majesty. In Jesus name I pray. Amen. Visit heartlight.org for more GOD SAVE ALL HERE!!
