Was Janet guilty of "stalking" in her efforts to expose MDM? This is no different, if Harper thinks the person claiming supernatural events is a threat to the Faithful. (I'm personally an indifferent agnostic concerning ALL claims to messages of supernatural origin pending Church judgment.)

You're 100% right in what you are saying. And your summary also seems to be correct. Well, all that is, of course, as long as you're not a Palestinian child - as Charlie "stands with Israel" in the murder - Yes MURDER - of Palestinian children. Not to mention the general imprisionment, decimation and destruction of that people. I bet Charlie (like all right thinking people) detests south Africa's apartheid policy. Tell me, what's the difference?
What's the difference between the ruling class in south Africa and the treatment of its indigenous peoples - and the Jews treatment of the Palestinians?
    Tell me?!
    TELL ME TRUE!?
It's difficult for me to go against conventional thinking on this. I'm usually the one to shrug things off. But I feel it my Christian duty to speak up. Even tho it may mean me getting 'chastised' for going against Charlie's view (on the butchering of the Palestinian people). Even though there will likely be eloquent responses in Charlie's defence.
Like the American establishment though, Charlie seems to choose with whom he will and won't stand based on delusions of righteous God only knows what.
    I'm sorry, if something's wrong; it's wrong.
We can't support the killing because it's by a group of people we happen to feel some kind of romantic affinity with. Seriously(!)
I have nothing against Charlie, I enjoy his writings very much. They have inspired me. And not to sound frivolous, but he should ask his angels for direction and clarification with regard to when it's right and wrong to butcher people en mass ....I have a feeling the answer won't be too hard to discern.

    FP,

Charlie routinely accuses those who write about him of sloppy research. As I unwisely noted elsewhere, I was a newspaper reporter and editor for many years. This is much less research than I would do if I were writing for publication. A lot less.

More careers: Charlie says he had a distinguished career in education. I don't know what "school president" means, but he must have been at least 30 at the time. It is hard to attain a leadership position in a school system without a thorough vetting. Do you believe this? It was printed in National Review online three years ago, under Charlie's name and photo.

"Funny, some 30 years ago I was a school president of a large Chicago suburban district. I spoke often at the time that many of the ostensibly good programs we were adopting or that were being pushed on us by the state and various interest groups were defensibly idealistic, but that I feared we were losing our focus, which was to educate children. I thought then that making the schools the catch-all for every do-good program imaginable would end by destroying the concept of education. I was more prophetic than I realized at the time."

    Edited to add:

    Hotel Manager?

Charlie also listed "Hotel Manager" as a job on a Facebook page. So, in addition to all the other claims, he has had a career in the hospitality industry. While it doesn't require the credentials that might be needed to be in information technology, I would think that someone would have to spend some time learning the business before becoming the manager of a business.

    Used Car Salesman?

Michael Brown described Charlie as a salesman in Belleville, IL. I didn't find anything about him in that place, but I did find two online comments in small IL online journals on politics. Two people mentioned that he had a job as a salesman at Libertyville GMC. I can put the links in when I post the political career information. But think about this:

What happened the last time people placed their trust in an unknown pol from Chicago who made a lot of unsubstantiated claims about his background and was seen as a "messiah" by many?

I believe that Charlie Johnston has gotten supernatural visitations. I also believe the pope is in the middle of what Charlie calls his "big mistake." Here is a snippet of his latest:

I have seen the letter from Pope Francis suggesting that there are circumstances in which some divorced and remarried people can be admitted to communion. For what it’s worth, this is his interpretive conclusion, but has not been explicitly stated in any Magisterial fashion. I don’t agree with his interpretation on this, I don’t understand this, but I do trust in Christ’s promise that He will not allow His Church to fall into definitive error.

It doesn’t come as a particular surprise to me that, as chaos and confusion rises in every aspect of everyday life and in every nook of the globe, it should rise in the debate in the Church, as well. Some have suggested that this may be the “blunder” I foresaw. I don’t know, though I will concede it is the best candidate I have seen so far.

I appreciate – and in fact love – that Pope Francis deeply empathizes with how messy lives can be – and particularly how messy they get in as toxic a culture as ours. In this non-Magisterial personal letter, he comes as close as I have seen to indulging what is objectively sinful, rather than just pastorally accompanying sinners back to full Communion. Even so, he is the final Pope of the Storm, warts and all – and I have no doubt that he is growing with us even as he challenges us to grow.

I believe his "blunder" is taking advice from the masonic clique in the vatican which was headed by Cardinal Martini. Like the late saintly Cardinal George asked:

That’s actually the big question, isn’t it? Who’s advising the Holy Father? I haven’t asked him yet … that’s another thing I would ask him if I got the chance.

It does not shock me that you, Frodo, and Brian would disagree.

BTW, I thought you left, Brian? One of the reasons I started participating again was because you said you left and I thought sanity would begin to return to the forum, but I guess I couldn't believe that was the truth either when you posted your melodramatic exit?

Very sad state of affairs to see what this forum has devolved into, as I just said on another thread:

Re. the forum it's pretty clear that they've (demons) been unleashed here as well. Very sad to see the hate, constant accusations, infighting, calumny, detraction, and other antics allowed here now and what a few have caused this forum to degrade into. We used to fondly call it Our Mother's Living Room as it was a healthy, loving, very spiritual forum but now it's degraded into the modern day Pharisees Forum where a few sit on their thrones and pronounce judgement on our Pope, Church, fellow Catholics, and brothers and sisters of all walks of life. Very very sad.

It's a bold move to claim you are right in this way. You seem not to be promoting debate but rather trying to out prove others. Your determination to push your point has a tone, in my humble opinion.

Harper, using "Google" like this is not an acceptable methodological approach to research since most of what you will get is second or third hand information.

If you want to be taken seriously as a researcher - do some real research and get as close to primary evidence as you can find.

Phone, ring, e-mail, contact people (eye-witnesses) directly; search newspapers, visit the necessary archives in order to substantiate any conclusions that you come to.

Don't take this as a personal attack as it is not.

I am a professional genealogist as my second job and have to verify all assertions that I make and substantiate conclusions with hard evidence.

    About to leave, but:

No, I am answering the many nasty attacks on my original posts. I feel there is something deeper in the way Charlie and his flying monkeys approach those who ask questions. Seriously.

As for debate, I would love to hear a response to the information that Charlie's recent event in NOLA featured priests breaking canon law by hearing confessions at an Episcopal School.

    Hi Garabandal,

No offense taken. That sounds like an interesting sideline:)

I'm doing a quick pass to answer questions on an online forum. I would verify the information if I were publishing but I am not going to spend much more time and certainly no money on Charlie. I think people should look at his claims and investigate them for themselves.

I have found a couple of things I will send to the archbishop in Denver since I believe they were not considered/submitted in the original preliminary investigation. But that's it.

Yep, the Hate is Running Rampid and it is Running Rampant also!

Jackzokay, I think that you should ask Charlie directly what exactly he means by I Stand with Israel.

Harper, When you have some real facts that you think people would be interested in learning about can you most them? This stuff is nonsense and you may find that you will need to make a huge apology. Is this how we operate as Christians? It is one thing to state to others to be cautious about a certain seer and then state why but for you to post every google search which turns up very little results to discredit a person it is just ridiculous.

GEEZ! I thought we were better than this!!! I think you all need to pause and think more before you post!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe Padraig will freeze the site and give us time for prayer and reflection. Take a break people.

PS - Harper, A school president usually means that a person has been elected president of the school board. It is a non-paid position normally held by someone with children in the particular school district. This person usually has a full-time job and then offers their free time to the school.

I think you misinterpret my meaning Carol.
A sweeping statement like that which you posted above...in relation to hatred running rampant? Well, why must it be hatred if someone else doesn't agree with your views?

I don't hate Charlie. Nothing could be further from the truth. I merely question his choice of avatar.... And am somewhat bemused that a holy man would seemingly support the murdering of an entire nation of people.
What are your views on the slaughter of innocent people? If you could answer without the sweeping hatred comments, it might be nice.

Oh, and Im not interested in where Charlie came from. I don't wish to slander him. I don't care if he was a bin man in his previous job. God can choose anyone to convey his messages. My issue is with the choice of avatar ONLY.
I feel it wrong to stand by a nation that breaches human rights continually - and on a mass scale. Frankly, I don't know how anyone can condone it.
