Having done Catholic apologetics for over 30 years, I can concur with what he has said. However, he mentioned only two groups whom he comes up against. I will name a 3rd group, often times harder to break ground then the protestant types he mentioned and that is baptized lukewarm Catholics. They are the hardest to educate, because they can't argue their own faith and they don't care about growing in it. That is why, I contend that in the book God Speaks Will You Listen www.godspeakswillyoulisten.org one message from our Lord speaks to the lukewarm as vomiting them out of his mouth. He also say's that after the warning those who convert will be other religions who did not know truth and even atheists, because they did not understand through no, or little culpability on their part, whereas many apostate protestants and lukewarm Catholics will not accept the warning, because they have already been given the truth and rejected it.
Ir read a mystic recently who said that Jesus told her the the Apostate are almost impossible to convert because they have rejected the huge graces they have received. I think it may have been the Bolivian, Gloria Polo. Scary. Gloria was struck by lightening and went to hell. Jesus brought her back to life and revealed loads of severe home truths., both regarding her own life and the State of the Church and the World. I must see her if I can find her testimony; I do believe it , for various reasons to be authentic. This is not for the faint hearted.
Yes, this is why we must double down on praying and doing penance for family and friends who are off the beated path. Especially in the Flame of Love. If I did not believe in the power of prayer I would be weeping fussily for family members especially.

I as well....they will keep me permanently...and humbly on my knees until I die. I can’t fathom losing a loved one who has lost their faith to hell if praying for them can rescue them. Our lady said at Fatima....Many souls go to hell because there is no one to pray for them. Our lady Herself gave us the hope that indeed our prayers can help restore their faith getting them to heaven! The rosary....the weapon...
Me too. I think of them as teachers more than apologists because in my case and in the vast majority of Protestants that I have known they are taught lies and told it is the truth specifically about the Church before they have ever been exposed to the Truth. How many know that Luther added the word "alone" to Romans 3:28 for instance? It's not up for debate either. He did it. His teachings are built on straw and the very thing the Bible warns of about adding to or taking away from it are the foundations of his theology. My entire family on both mine and my wife's sides with the lone exception of my FIL are Protestants and he is lapsed. It is very hard to get through to any of them not because they know their bible and can argue against sound teaching but because they tend to have a spirit of rebellion or have been poisoned by heretical teaching and can not recognize the Truth for ignorance. We should always pray for them. God in His infinite mercy can kindle the fire in their hearts for the Faith which lasts and which one can find the true rest and peace that only He can give.
