There were many scandals at the Vatican during the first 8 years of Pope Benedict XV’s Pontificate, which the international press spoke of. Some even involved Cardinal Bertone (See here).

But one of which no one has spoken till now, regards a most heinous act of sacrilege against the sacred person of Christ’s Vicar on Earth. FromRome.Info can now reveal what is claimed to have happened based upon our sources at the Vatican.

The event allegedly occurred during the first 8 years of Pope Benedict XVI’s pontificate. It involved a heated exchange between Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, the Secretary of State, and Pope Benedict XVI. There was a contrast of wills and Pope Benedict XVI insisted that his will, as Roman Pontiff be heeded and executed.

Thereupon, Cardinal Bertone allegedly laid hands on the Holy Father, placing his right and left hand on the right and left upper arms of the Roman Pontiff.

Cardinal Bertone then allegedly proceeded to shake the Holy Father violently, and said to Pope Benedict XVI:

    You need to understand,
that it is I who command here!

    ***

This would be a most infamous act. Indeed, a physical assault upon the Holy Father is punishable by excommunication in canon 1370 §1:

1370, §1: He who uses physical violence against the Roman Pontiff incurs excommunication latae sententiae, reserved to the Apostolic See, according to which, if one deals with a cleric there can be adjoined, according to the gravity of the delict, further penality, not excluding de-mission from the clerical state.

That such a crime might have been quietly endured by the Holy Father shows his heroic meekness.

That such a crime has heretofore never been revealed to the press, shows, possibly, how absolutely corrupt and heartless the culture at the Vatican is.

Now, at last it seems to become more clear to what extent Pope Benedict XVI was being threatened and manipulated during the first years of his pontificate. Perhaps, now, the objective observer will begin to examine more closely how in the last 8 years, the Holy Father might have been deprived of his liberty of action.

Indeed, not a few Vatican functionaries have reported that they have received “letters” from the Holy Father since Feb. 2013, which do not appear to be written by the same personality they know. Some of these are signed with the name of Benedict, in a hand writting which appears to be executed under extreme duress.

Let us pray for our Holy Father. I think none of us yet understands under what kind of pressure and threats by corrupt officials and Freemasons he has lived for so long!

Finally, FromRome.info calls upon the international press to interview Vatican Officials for further elucidatations and confirmations of this story.

We took the family to Italy in July of 2019. We started out in Rome and took a private tour of The Vatican. I was struck by how “empty” and frankly disturbing St Peter’s and The Vatican felt.

Aa our tour entered the Vatican museum, we had just finished the 1st part in the courtyard and had gone upstairs into the museum. Our tour guide paused at a window and said, “see that building over there? That’s where Pope Emeritus Benedict now resides.” And I looked out the window and saw the building which looked more like a tower at the edge of a castle than a home for a Pope, with few windows which each weren’t very wide, and that little voice that never fails appeared in my head... “you’re looking at his prison”

is in quotes for a reason.

How many times has he been discredited on this forum?

His previous "breaking news" was that Benedict had been exiled from the Vatican when he had in fact visited his brother.

Then the "breaking news" he reported that Pope Francis would resign after the Solemnity of the Epiphany 2021.

I was going to bring this up, decided against it because I continually bring it up every time his articles are posted. Thank you for your post. He has zero credibility, imho.

Unfortunately your liberal Patheos blogger source has his own problems of credibility. He is the author of this hit piece which was aimed at mocking pro life conservative and traditional Catholics such as Fr. Ripperger and Archbishop Schneider who cautioned against use of vaccines that used fetal stem cells in their testing or development prior to marketing them.

His simple to refute errors about fetal stem cell research and common medicines were accepted at face value by good decent pro life Catholics and spread around the world. And it’s been extremely difficult to disabuse them of these errors.

The Patheos blogger simply did an Internet search for each medication name plus “HEK-293” to “prove” there were similar problems with numerous over the counter and prescription medication, thus “proving” we can’t avoid meds or vaccines tainted with fetal cells.

But many of these medications he listed were developed long before any fetal cell lines first became commercially available in the 1960s.

Just because some academics years later tested those meds with fetal cell lines doesn’t mean their development or production is tainted by fetal cell lines.

He either knew this at the time he wrote that article and was deliberately trying to confuse and mock devout pro life Catholics, or if he didn’t he’s guilty of gross misfeasance.

As far as the source of the current thread article?

His status as a “brother” may indeed be in doubt, but that doesn’t disprove his assertions about what happened to BXVI at the hands of Bertone. I’m inclined to believe it as I’ve always been suspect of these conniving Secretaries of State at the Vatican.

    Time will tell.

It doesn't prove them, either. I echo the phrase used by NSD, consider the source. That would be part of the discernment process. He is problematic in many ways. At the same time, too, finding fault with a blogger for a one time blog with which you disagree, can be faulty reasoning.

He is really problematic; that’s not not the only problematic thing he’s done. (Just being associated with Patheos is a major problem for his credibility.) But that’s not the subject of this thread.

The thing is, there is no proof for Bro B's "assertions" and he publishes what is "claimed to have happened based upon our sources at the Vatican." All of this is totally undocumented. It is sensationalist journalism. Why should anyone get in a sweat about this? There were apparently no witnesses. Plus, if this is not TRUE, then Bertone has been calumniated to an extreme degree. Why do we swallow this stuff? Why is Bro B immune from criticism and/or legal action?

  15. BrianK

He isn’t. So if it’s a false accusation, Bertone should be suing him for defamation/libel.

Exactly. And we need to be careful what we spread around before any documentation is available. We can easily sin within the parameters of a public forum, by what we post or what we say. Just sayin’. I’m no angel in that regard, either.

    A RESPONSE TO SCHNEIDER’S LIBEL

    by Br. Alexis Bugnolo

There are numerous errors contained in the article above, which you can read by clicking the image.

This first is that the author claims I am not a brother, nor a religious.

To achieve this, the author resorts to the definitions of words which do not apply to me and then implies I am a liar for using words in a sense different than the definitions he uses.

That being the case, he does not prove anything, but his own preconceived prejudice.

These kinds of attacks in the Church are as old as the first religious orders, They are not new. After St. Francis’ death, there were those who claimed that he never received the stigmata. And after St. Thomas Aquinas’ death, there were those who claimed he was a heretic.

I do not expect a Legionnaire of Christ — the religious institute founded by Father Marcel Maciel, to which the author claims to belong — to understand Franciscan spirituality. But I do recognize that he never took any note of my existence until I wrote against the Scamdemic and the Vaxx, the former of which he believes in and the later of which he promotes zealously, even when made from tissues of human babies torn to pieces, alive, by the abortion industry for the sake of the vaccine industry.

I am a Roman Catholic. I believe in Jesus Christ. And the lives of innocents is precious to me. So how a vaccine is made is important to me. I am not a priest, but I would expect a priest to understand that.

In the Order founded by St. Francis, those who profess his Rule are called brothers (in Latin “fratres”), and in some languages “friars” — which does not mean that they cook or eat fried food. They live in monasteries, which in many lands are called “convents”, even though no women are found therein. In English, these buildings can be called “Friaries” or a “Friary” in the singular, but again, it has nothing to do with fried food. — I do not make this remark without cause, since in at least one town in Connecticut, when a religious institute of Franciscan brothers founded a convent, they called it a Friary, which caused them a multi-year long battle with the town over how their kitchen ought to be designed for grease disposal!

So all Franciscans call one another brother or friar. Here in Italy, the proper title is “Frà”, which means the same thing.

In Canon Law, there is no regulation on the use of the term or title, “Brother”, “Friar”, or “Frà”, and the author of the above article agrees with me because he has cited no canon to that effect.

This is because, the titles used to name or salute members of religious orders have to do with their spiritual traditions. Thus some are called, monks, and are saluted with “Don”, others are mendicants and are called “brothers”, some have no title.

I am a Franciscan brother because I observe the Rule of St. Francis of Assisi, which requires me to live as a brother and treat all other Franciscan as brothers in the same family. I have never claimed that by this title, “brother” or “Fra” that I am a member of a religious Order.

Since I have never claimed it, I do not have to rebut Father’s claim that I claimed or am claiming it.

As a person who has taken vows and who lives vows obliging me to keep the Rule of St. Francis, which is a recognized form of religious life in the Church, I am a religious. But in the sense of canon law, which uses the term strictly, as someone who is canonically bound to a religious order on Earth, I am not. But then again all the Saints of the Franciscan Order are not either, but I assure you they are no less religious.

I head several organizations which undertake the works of mercy or justice. I get no remuneration for my work with them.

There is the Scholasticum, founded in Italy as a non profit. And while it might ruffle the feathers of the author of the above article, I do teach under its aegis. He fails to mention my academic work, which you can find on academia.edu. He also fails to mention that I graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Florida, Gainesville, in 1986 with a B. A. in Cultural Anthropology; he also fails to mention that my minor seminary, Our Lady of Grace in Boston, did teach courses in the years I attended (1986-88). The Scholasticum is fully described at its website: studium-scholasticum.org.

And there is Ordo Militaris Catholicus: I think Father does not understand what it is, and so thinks it is a religious Order. It is not. What it is, is described at the website of the private military corporation which its members founded in August of 2016, Ordo Militaris Inc.: ordo-militaris.us at length. What the corporation is is also described there in length. And its history is also detailed in its news page. At the bottom of its home page you can see a map which details its financial support to Catholics and Christians round the world. The corporation is not a non-profit, but it is a charitable organization, in that it gives its assets and income to the works of charity. This is perfectly legal in the United States of America.

Father fails to mention that I am also president of an Italian political party, known as “L’Italia per gli Italiani”, which you can learn more about at its website: ItaliaPerItaliani.it

Father does mention this electronic journal, FromRome.Info, which he incorrectly calls a blog. But he seems to think that it has some tie to the other organizations, other than the fact, that I, whom am its editor and publisher, am involved with the others.

FromRome.Info is an apostolate, and I founded it to do the work of mercy of preaching the truth.

Father does present some claims which are confused, wrong and simply false. He claims that I have lived in Rome as a hermit since 2006. I have not. He seems to think that the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life, has jurisdiction over the Diocese of Rome, which it does not. Which is why they would have no knowledge of me. If they have an archive of all the letters they send to private individuals they can find the one they sent me in 2006.

He gets the details of my life mixed up on other points, too.

He seems to think that as a consecrated person of private vows I have always lived as a hermit. He thinks hermits are religious, or that prior to taking canonical vows in the hands of their local ordinary, they fall under the jurisdiction of the Congregation of Institutes of Consecrated life. They do not. He seem to think that every Diocese has hermits, or a protocol for their reception or recognition. They do not. He seems to think that the Church has a definition of what a hermit is, in canon law, and that if you do not meet that definition, you are not a hermit. She does not. A hermit is a Catholic who (1) dedicates himself to his personal sanctification, (2) lives by himself, and may or may not (3) take vows or (4) observe a Rule. I am a hermit who does all four things. But if a diocese has no such protocol, it is scarcely the fault of a hermit that it does not. Nor does that fact mean he cannot follow Christ in this manner therein. Canon Law allows this.

  19. Ok
So, by his own admission he calls himself a Franciscan brother, yet he admits the following...

"But in the sense of canon law, which uses the term strictly, as someone who is canonically bound to a religious order on Earth, I am not."

Yet he dresses as a Franciscan brother and calls himself one,

    Got it. Crystal clear.

If someone wearing a brown robe tells me "I am Franciscan brother" I assume he means he is a member of the religious order. Aparently Mr. Bugnolo defines a "Franciscan brother" differently than the rest of us Catholics. He presents himself as "Brother Bugnolo"

He also says the SSPX and Knights of Columbus are Masons. As you can read here... https://fromrome.info/2020/11/21/the-sspx-outs-itself-as-a-globalist-5th-column/

The following excerpts are from page 565 of Life of Anne Catherine Emmerich, Vol. 1, by Rev. K.E. Schmö:ger, Tan Books, 1976:

    • "I saw St. Peter's. A great crowd of men was trying to pull it down whilst others constantly built it up again. Lines connected these men one with another and with others throughout the whole world. I was amazed at their perfect understanding.
    • "The demolishers, mostly apostates and members of different sects, broke off whole pieces and worked according to rules and instructions. They wore WHITE APRONS bound with blue riband. In them were pockets and they had TROWELS stuck in their belts. The costumes of the others were various.
    • "There were among the demolishers distinguished men wearing uniforms and crosses. They did not work themselves but they marked out on the wall with a TROWEL where and how it should be torn down. To my horror, I saw among them Catholic Priests. Whenever the workmen did not know how to go on, they went to a certain one in their party. He had a large book which seemed to contain the whole plan of the building and the way to destroy it. They marked out exactly with a TROWEL the parts to be attacked, and they soon came down. They worked quietly and confidently, but slyly, furtively and warily. I saw the Pope praying, surrounded by false friends who often did the very opposite to what he had ordered..."
The Vatican is full of Masons. This comes from a holy Priest who lived (and still lives often) in Rome. Pray for our Church!
