That word from the woman after Mass was a signal grace--a consolation sent to you from Our Lord. Its so beautiful. Thank you for telling us. I think Jesus is very lonely. Very few spend time with Him or even think about Him. I am trying very hard to do better.:(
Spring is a long way off up here in the frozen north but melting is going on. That always raises my spirits.:)
I'm going to add that I think this vaccine/covid has divided all of us. I have spoken bluntly and then the distancing starts. I just move on and keep them in prayer.

Maryrose, I am sad that you feel so lonely. It truly is a sense of martyrdom especially since you lost friends because you didn’t take the vaccine. You are not alone…you are part of this remnant who love Christ. Is there a way to join a church group with like-hearted faithful like yourself? I will pray for you.

The loss of friends over a vaccine.:( How terrible for governments to force us to do their evil bidding! I'm glad, maryrose, that the woman spoke up after Holy Mass. It is good that Our Lady is with us; she endured the horrible loss of her Son. Forty odd hours of tremendous sorrow! One day your heart will be filled with a Joy that no one will be able to interrupt or rob you of!

    Come Lord Jesus!

Sometimes in life we have friends for a reason or a season, not the friends forever kind. They are very rare and precious.

My father was a businessman and he sent out a tall stack of Christmas cards every year. But he told me several times as I was growing up, and experiencing the pains, that you can count your true friends on one hand.

MaryRose a few years ago I asked God at Adoration to please give me some spiritual friends. It took a year maybe but led me to 2 groups and the most wonderful friends- the latter a lady who moved here who is truly a saint and we found one another and from that it led to The Flame of Love Rosary Group.
I live in a small community where my family is at least an hour away so this was a great connection. The families that live here are all big and extended and tend to stick to one another. Only God can do it. And he did!

I discovered that a cousin of mine, whom I love very much has spoken very publicly and nastily against the Church on Facebook. I hoped it was just the drink but apparently not. His wife , whom I took to be a devout Catholic thinks the same way. His mother was a devout daily mass goer.

    My heart sunk.

But people must make their own choices, we cannot make them for them.

Every single person in the little Church this morning wore masks. It is like a time machine. The smaller the Church the more the masks

I heard a bird singing in the trees near my caravan at dusk yesterday, I believe I heard the same bird this morning and gave thanks . For when do we ever hear birds in the city?

The atheist artist ,Romania,, said that the hardest thing about being an Atheist was having no one to give thanks to when his heart was full.

I , on the other hand have a heart that is always full and always giving thanks even for singing birds

Slept 11 hours of deep sleep last night without waking once. Not a single dream.

    Amazing.

I feel like I am 18 years old again

I was praying to St Brigid the other night asking for help with the camping and for her to help the Church

The Irish call her, 'Mary of the Gaels', placing her as the premier Irish female Saint, which is quite something.

Certainly ,apart from Our Lady herself she is the most extraordinary woman I have ever e countered. She is a whirlwind and a force of nature and a steamroller of determination.

The Legends are quite true, pity anyone who gets in her road.

I got the distinct Impression she was rolling up her sleeves as she was leaving.

    Rome watch out.:)

I think she needs to kick start the Irish church. Some Bishop needs to call out this synodal path. They bishops are all suffering from lockjaw.

What a great description. Lockjaw--brought on by extreme cowardice and/or lukewarm faith.

There is a lovely story about St Brigid in the reading fir the Daily Office for her Feast Day.

During Lent there was a great famine and Brigid and her nuns were starving. So she led them all to a monastery a long way away for food

The monks killed a cow and roasted it and the Saint and most of the nuns got eating

However a small group of nuns did not eat and stood looking down their noses at Brigid and the others for eating meat during Lent

Brigid however told them it was better to be eating meat than the bread of pride
