A statistic worth pondering: according to the book The Outing of Mary Carberry that exposed the truth about 'Maria Divine Mercy', the MDM Facebook page at one time boasted 350,000 'friends'. The Italian organization ARRPI connected with Itapiranga has 275.

 

Its all about sensationalism. MDM, like LTTW was full of sensationalism, but those of humble origin do not bring the glitter that many desire.

Wow! Isis claims rome is next...

 

This message brings a new look to the Itapiranga messages, as they are not usually specific to events to take place, as are the Luz de Maria messages or Pedro Regis messages. This statement should give us pause, not only because it is speaking of the Vatican, but it is because 'Christians do not pray as they should'. I wonder if this is referring the many who can only criticize our Holy Father in lieu of praying for him?

 

This message brings me pause now Marc because it is so specific. Isis already publicly stated that Washington DC, London, and Rome was next. When was this message received and first published? If it was anytime after the statement from Isis came out, then I have some concerns over the legitimacy of these messages now. Seems like a grab to possibly be accurate in prophecy no over something that is an obvious next outcome?

 

Charlie Johnston has said recently that we've entered into a new phase of the storm. I think this is another sign showing that to be true, things have definitely amped up

 

I read a French translation today of an except from a message received by Edson Glauber dated May 15, 2013, about the two popes. The Portuguese is here and I wanted to (re?) post the translation, which I got using google & lining it up with the French (someone please correct me if there are errors):

Times are tough for the Church and for the world, but God always comes to the aid of all his children, for his grace and his divine aid will never be lacking. This is the time that two Popes are close to one other and help each other: one in silence, in prayer, in worship, offering his suffering for the other who must must guide, speak, act and witness the teachings of my Son Jesus to all. Two lives, two flames lit the good of the Church and the world. My son Benedict XVI gives them the example of knowing how to renounce, to sacrifice themselves and to pray for the good of the Church and the current pope, something that many do not do.

These two witnesses are the two olive trees and the two candlesticks standing before the Lord of the earth. (Rev 11: 4)

 

It's not the first time that Edson Glauber's messages have mentioned a threat to Rome: take a look through this thread and you'll see that there was a vision of violence in St Peter's Square some while ago. Also - read the November 5 message given in Strasbourg with the words 'France, France, return to God. Now is the hour' and speaking of a 'great evil' threatening the country. This isn't a case of being wise after the event...

It should be remembered that Edson Glauber is to my knowledge the only living alleged seer directly connected with an approved apparition (i.e. the 1994-1998 phase of the Itapiranga apparitions) who is still receiving locutions. Although the latter cannot be considered 'approved' as such, Edson G's status as someone who has been the recipient of authentic visions (at least in the past) is official. I've read all 20+ years of material from this source in the original - 1200+ pages, and I take it very seriously.

Furthermore, Itapiranga is being actively promoted (not just tolerated, but promoted) by the local Bishop Carillo Gritti, who sent the statue of Our Lady around the Amazon region in September-October just before Edson Glauber came to Europe, where he will be until January 9.

There is also a convergence here with the purported ongoing apparitions in Zaro (see thread), where there was a very similar vision of bloodshed in Rome on January 8, 2013, long before anyone was talking about ISIS:

I was in St. Peter's Square, it was twilight, there was a warm breeze and I looked at the dome, from which grey, dense and continuous smoke was flowing out.
Down in the square it seemed as if there was a tumult, but at first I could not see clearly what was happening. Suddenly forms and colours appeared and scenes presented themselves to me close up. The square was full of people and soldiers wearing black striped trousers tucked into their boots, over which were wide blouses. In hand they had scimitars like sickles shaped like an elongated half moon: they had strange headgear like hats. There were bodies lying on the ground and so much blood, so much that the square looked like a full bowl. Some of the survivors raised a flag.
The flag was green with within it a crescent and a five-pointed white star.
After they approached the front door to get in, but it was on fire and they were unable to
enter. Then the sky cleared up and many white doves flew over the square and the blood and the corpses disappeared.

Just a plea to all of us here: please let's not do 'armchair discernment' on the basis of our subjective impressions, especially of sources which have been the subject of multi-year diocesan inquiries as was the case in Itapiranga (or are currently under official theological/scientific investigation as in Zaro). Material of this gravity requires a serious approach: if we have doubts, then just ignore it.

 

Yes, I saw this over at myriamir (which is a very mixed bag of stuff, but quite useful for information, particularly regarding Francophone sources...) relayed from Jean de Roquefort, who has an encyclopedic knowledge of modern private revelation and a formidable eschatological overview, even if I'm not as enthusiastic as he is about some sources such as 'JNSR', on whom I personally find Jean de R. a little over-reliant.

I too had seen this message - worth quoting to those folks who somehow have the mistaken idea that private revelation identifies Pope Francis as the False Prophet(!) - but it needs to be noted that the words about the two witnesses are in italics in the Portuguese original, almost certainly meaning that they represent Edson Glauber's interpretation, not the message itself.

I've always been comforted knowing that Pope Benedict is spending the rest of his life on Vatican grounds, praying for the Church, and that Pope Francis has access to his wisdom and experience. I read an article some time ago that Pope Francis at times trots over to visit with him, saying, "I'm going to see the old man." I think Pope Francis has in Pope Benedict what those of us in the world have through the cloistered contemplatives - prayer power for our active work for the Lord.

Today Jesus came with Our Lady. They were dressed in white robes. They were accompanied by St Margaret Mary Alacoque, St Joan of Arc, St Catherine of Siena and St Francis of Assisi. During the apparition Our Lady together with the Saints prayed for us and the world, that Jesus might grant us his forgiveness, his peace and his love. The presence of the saints made me understand that St Margaret and St Joan were praying for France and St Catherine and St Francis were praying for Italy. Jesus gave me the following message:

My peace be with you all!
My little ones, here is my Sacred Heart which loves men so much, but which is not loved.
I am the King of heaven and earth, and I come with my most Holy Mother, the Queen of queens, to beg you for a little of your love.
Do not harden your hearts [by] sinning. Sin cannot give you true happiness, but eternal death.
Do not desire sin, since sin leads you to perdition. Desire my love: love that saves and frees. How many have ruined souls because they are disobedient.
I ask you for obedience to what my mother came to communicate to you. She comes in order to tell all of you my appeal of love.
I have been calling you to my Heart for many years now, but you have still not taken refuge in it, because you easily forget what I tell you.
Renounce the world and sin, and thus your hearts will be open to receiving my graces, my peace and my love.
