It seems to me that such things should be included in parish bulletins - the link on the emailed bulletin, a "Google this" on the printed edition. I read this today on the website of Fr. Adam Skwarczyński, who is a Polish Marian Movement priest (MMP): The Cross of Forgiveness – do you know this story? In the church inside the monastery of Santa Ana y San José in Cordoba, Spain, there is an ancient cross, known as the Cross of Forgiveness. It depicts Jesus crucified with his right hand lowered downwards Legend has it that a man came to this church to confess his grave sins. After confession, he received absolution, but his confessor severely admonished him not to repeat his mistakes. Unfortunately, he soon fell again and returned to the confessional, full of repentance. This time, however, the priest said to him: "Don't play with God. I can't let you continue to sin." When he refused absolution, suddenly an unexpected sound was heard in the church. It came from the side of the cross. Then Christ tore off the nailed right hand and stretched it out to the repentant sinner. In the silence, the priest heard a voice: "It was I who shed my blood for this man, not you." Thank you very much for posting this. A church near where I live has a crucifix like this. I never heard the story behind it until now.
