I had a nice phone conversation with Barbara today. She is a wonderful person with a great ministry…I can’t wait to meet her. I’ve encouraged her to join this forum so hopefully we will see her on here. Kathy
Yes, she sent a little note with the crosses.. she seems to be a wonderful lady. I hope she joins us!
I’ve not been in contact with her in a few months but this is what she asked me to post a few months ago…
I only received mine in the last couple of days and am delighted with them. My brother is seriously ill and am sending him one without delay. He went to Medj. with me many years ago . He hadn't practiced his religion for nearly a decade but agreed to come 'for a holiday only' but Our Lady had different ideas and he was bombarded with signs (which I was not privileged to share) and was often in tears. I rang him on the day that they arrived and he said that he woke feeling reasonably well for the first time in months so I hope that things will get even better when he receives it.
This BRILLIANT video about Medj. has only had 5000 views in 8 months. People are really missing out. Watch it, please. Fr. Rick Wendell's INCREDIBLE Medjugorje Testimony! He died and met God then went to Medjugorje!
Bill was there with a group from our parish in '91 and he told me about that silence that happens when Our Lady appears - the trees were filled with chirping birds and all at once it ALL stops. Silence. Wish I could have gone
You should be able to watch this, if you can't login to Facebook. It's about this Holy Jubilee year https://www.facebook.com/share/v/19WEshj4sj/
Some years ago I was a member of a Catholic Men's organisation and I was invited to give a talk about my several trips to Medjugorje at one of the meetings. The meeting was being held in the house of a missionary order and they were given an agenda as a courtesy. Just after the meeting got underway, a priest of the house's order came in and had a quick conversation with the Chairman who came over to me and said that the priest in charge did not wish for any talk about Medjugorje so my talk was cancelled. Over coffee after the meeting, the boss priest sat next to me so I asked him why he felt so strongly about Medjugorje. He said that it was unapproved and that was the reason. I suggested that he might consider going there himself and, to my surprise he said that he had been but it was an 'accidental' visit. I asked what he meant and he said that a nephew of his and his new wife had died in a car accident near to Dubrovnik and that he had volunteered to go out there to make arrangements for the release and transportation of the bodies to save the parents of the couple the added distress and trouble. He was accommodated by a priest but was unable to assist him in his duties as he spoke no Serbo-Croat so spent a lot of time waiting for various certificates and documents to be issued with little to do. The local priest told him that he should visit Medj. as it was not far away and he decided to go to fill in some time by doing so. I asked if he had seen anything unusual and he said that when the bell rang to indicate that the apparition had begun, every bird in the area crowded onto the spire above the site of the apparition and when it was over, they all left at the same instant. I asked him why that had not persuaded him and he just said, 'It's unapproved' and began talking to someone else. Curious!
Some religious and laity are sticklers when it comes to unapproved apparitions. But that can be a problem in itself. St. Paul said to test everything and hold on to what is good.
