I can already see this happening. Ugh!!! Most people do not even know the theology of why no ordained women so they can slip this in easy enough. I don't anticipate this happening at my parish but I would walk out if I saw a woman dressed in liturgical garb and serving or preaching. I would.

I can't see this happening in my diocese. We have been told upcoming seminary classes have an influx of students! While most of us don't know what the numbers of ordained during the next 4 years look like, clearly prayers are being answered. Also, our new Director of Vocations is a young priest only ordained 2 years ago. He is living in residence at my former parish and is asking for prayers for good holy humble priests. AMEN!!
When it happened with the Anglicans/ Episcopalians it caused all kind of schisms and rifts. It will end up a lot worse with us if it is tried. You have to wonder. Even if we imagined that the Ordination of Women were a good thing, would it be worth it to cause schism and all the bitterness and anger? But these awful people do not seem to care.
Padraig, Thank you for this video. I think that John-Henry Westen is probably right. I think that what he is stating is similar to what was done with Amoris laetitia, changes were made via a backdoor method. It wasn't really until Pope Francis approved the Buenos Aires bishops' guidelines of chapter VIII of Amoris laetitia that the profound changes were made possible to the Church's teaching. We have yet to see what will happen in regard to the Amazon synod in order to be certain but this would be shrewd and very sad.
Do I believe he would try to do this... Well I am not going to give him the benefit of the doubt on bad ideas so sure... Do I believe the Holy Spirit will allow it, not a chance.
Maybe I am way out on a limb on this but this to me constitutes proof--if it happens on his watch --and he does nothing to stop it or to speak clearly on it--that he is no longer Pope. It is a kind of deselection of himself by his own hand. A Pope who teaches heresy ceases to be Pope.
Well I have kind of found peace with all this with the thought, 'I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Or as Jesus said, 'Sufficient unto the day are the worries thereof'. That if things ever get as dark as that He will grant me eyes to see the way forward. No good looking for night sight when it is still evening.
In order for good things to happen we must correspond with Grace. In order for God to help us we must let Him help us. If on the other hand we, as a church are shutting the door to grace then very bad things will happen. God does not force the door open, He does not kick it in, so to speak. When people do bad things, bad things happen.

'.... true Magisterium ' The Holy Father and the Bishops can only act to Conserve the Truths the Good Deposit of the Faith, not to act as innovators of a new path. When they do so they are no longer the True Magisterium. “What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus. Guard the good deposit that was entruted to you–guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us” (2 Tim. 1:13-14).
I recall the arguments in the Anglican Church back in the 80's about women's ordination. Apparently so many Anglican women felt alienated and marginalised by the CofE that they stayed away from church along with men who supported them and only female ordination could stem the tide of loss. And what happened to their numbers? They continued to 'nosedive'. Yet the 'progressives' in the true Church use these same, thoroughly disproved, arguments. They KNOW that these same arguments that they now employ are totally disproved or they would push improved Anglican church attendances down our throats ad nauseam.
Yes, I recall I sued to laugh at tehm and look down my nose. I am not laughing or looking dwon my nose at the moment. I would love to know what people like Bishop Barron are thinking at the moment. In a sense they are the great hope of the Church. I hope he doens't do a sell out.
I'll wager dollars to donuts (Pounds to pretzels? Euros to urine?) (sorry -- that last one was the only word I could think of quickly to use with Euro.) that you have an orthodox bishop leading your diocese. I did the math: if the Diocese of Los Angeles was producing priests at the same rate relative to its population that the Diocese of Lincoln (Nebraska) was producing priests, given their relative populations, LA would have over 100 priests in its seminary. Instead, it's got less than 20, and most of those are foreign students who will go back to their native countries as soon as they're ordained and given some pastoral experience. The difference? Lincoln has a very orthodox bishop leading it; Los Angeles, somewhat less so.

I would love to hear B Barron square what he is teaching with what has always been taught personally. Start at around 16:15. B Barron speaks about how VII teaches that those outside the Church via following their conscious are saved indirectly by the Grace of Christ. Does this sound like entering in the door into the sheepfold or another way.
