    Turning and turning in the widening gyre
    The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
    Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
    Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
    The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
    The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
    The best lack all conviction, while the worst
    Are full of passionate intensity.

    You think you were cross??? I had to have a colonoscopy Friday am and I had to fast for two days. Only liquid, broth, and jello. I was having a big pity party and whining for two days. I was thinking I am not a good Catholic, maybe I should go to confession! The Bible days you must keep your mouth shut and not look dour but I was not doing a good job of it. I am so glad that is over.

    I have quoted this often of late. Yeats was prescient. Especially " the best lack all conviction while the worst are full of passionate intensity."

    I had a colonoscopy for an ulcer (a trifle compared to you) some years ago. Not pleasant. I’d say God makes a special allowance for that experience!

    I can't imagine living that long. My husband and I tell each other all the time, as soon as our kids are grown and safely in their vocations, we're ready to go! Lol. The older I get, the emptier everything on earth becomes.

    Just for fun, I'm wondering whether he'd give his mother-in-law a dose of that experiment to test. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::p

    True! :love: Although so far, every single one of my children insists they will be priests or religious. Lol

    Well if God is truly calling all 4 of my kids to religious life, He's welcome to send as many more as He likes! So far He wants more than half of my children with Him instead.

    Just a thought - maybe being raised from the dead the first time was the Illumination of Conscience for Lazarus, so well worth the agony of coming back to life:)

    Prayers that everything went well.:) I went out drinking beer the night before mine years ago. The medical staff thought it was hilarious as it showed on the screen.:):)

    I was scheduled for one Holy Week. It was cancelled and I'm now waiting for my new appointment. The thought of it is hanging over me.
    I'm off to Medjugorje on my annual pilgrimage on Wednesday. I'll remember you all there.

    As I have shared here before While I was declared dead, doctors told my family to be ready as they thought I would not survive accident. I believe I did have a form of an NDE ... not where i had a illumination but experience 2 places - one of beauty and peace and the dark and frightening. This experience has changed me... I am far far from perfect and still very much a mortal sinful man. But at least now I am aware of my imperfections and keep coming back to Christ seeking His forgiveness. So if my experience is like this, I cant imagine how much Lazarus was impacted. Such a mystery. Praying we all have the spirit of Christ in us.
