Conchita learned on this day that an almost generalized disaffection for Garabandal would come only one week before "D" day, in other words, as early as the day following the announcement that she would make. There will be few people at the village to attend the great Miracle on site. Nevertheless, it will be seen on television, could be filmed, etc. The visionary declared on the other hand, that, as the future great events will draw near "presumed and false manifestations of the Blessed Virgin will increase considerably." She also predicted, the same day, "the disappearance, on the day of the Miracle, of the Note Dr. Pinal had forced her to sign, in Santander, which Note was saying that the apparitions of San Sebastian de Garabandal were frauds, and that herself was mad!" (from "Garabandal" book , page 160 )
Hi Aviso My memory seems to be getting worse but perhaps Glenn will be able to answer your question. He seems to know where to look.
Hi Glenn. I personally believe Vassula, as well as my entire family and the entire parish in our town. We were able to attend one of her witnessing here in the Philippines and I was able to capture a 13-second footage covering it. To my surprise, a very similar image of the Turin Shroud miraculously appeared on Vassula's hairline as if it was superimposed. I never noticed it till I was at home and review the clips. While I considered this a private manifestation, as there was a story behind it, the TLIG group acknowledged it as a "miraculous manifesation" to support its authenticity. Through this, I have never doubted her messages in the same way that I have never doubted Conchita as a true seer from God. View attachment 3292 View attachment 3293 View attachment 3294
Dear Glenn, I suppose one of the main reasons I find it hard to believe in intellegent extra terrestrial life, is because I thought I had strong evidence to the contary being a Catholic. Our Lord Jesus revelled His earthly mission and gave the reasons for His death and resurrection, without any mention of saving other extra-terrestrials or alien forms of life. Jesus made it clear to his disciples that he would suffer freely for the salvation of mankind (Mt 20:18-19). As St Peter says, “You know that you were ransomed ... with the precious blood of Christ” (1 Pet 1:18). Scripture also assures us of the many fruits of Christ’s sacrifice. By means of his sacrifice, Jesus has: repaid the debt of mans guilt (Mt 20:28); gained mercy for us and repealed our punishment (Mt 26:28); defeated the claims of the devil over us (Jn 12:31); reconciled us to God (2 Cor 5:19); and fulfilled Scripture and salvation history (Col 1:20). In Contrast, many new age cults, teach and believe in extra-terrestrials. Some new age cults state, that one day we will be saved by these beings! And other cults like that of L. Ron Hubbard, who was apparently a very intellegent man, with a number of degrees in engineering and psychology and who created the church of scientology, which was incorporated as a religion in Camden N.J.; Teaches that humans are beings, who have forgotten their true nature and are really aliens who used to live on other planets and these beings are like men, with the same foibles. Essentially they believe we are waiting for the reunification with extra-terrestrials. So I find it hard to believe that Our Holy Mother would suggest to Conchita that Extra Terrestials, are like men and are tainted by sin and redeemed by Christ just like men. I am not saying, however that, Mrs Mercedes Salisachs, a very intellegent and apparently holy women, or an associate of hers, misunderstood what Conchita had told them privately. All I am saying is that I am trying to adjust my very Catholic thinking, at this moment to incorrporate Aliens from outerspace into my understanding of redemption.
Josephite, I agree. ET opens the door to new age spiritualality. I read a couple quotes the other day by St Augustine and Venerable Bede denying other life forms and as far as I know we have no Church teaching on ET. If we accept ET and want to learn more on ET I believe this would lead one to investigate new age teaching on ET and our relation to them. Slippery slope to me. Just my discernment on the matter. I feel its another avenue to question the Church. Keep it Catholic Josephite as you have been doing, Mother Church gives us everything to gain salvation in Christ, we ARE not orphans. ET is a distraction
Sometimes I equate this to Non-Catholics who look at us as crazy because we believe in Transubstantiation. They can not wrap their heads around the idea that, that piece of bread is the body of Christ, and lets face, its a tough sell to convince them. In time ,hopefully the near future, the Miracle will convince the world ,that with God " nothing " is impossible.
100 % sure ! As a matter of fact another very well known priest ,Fr. Joseph Pelletier also confirms, Fr. Andreu's notes, which have been saved. It was reported in Fr. Ramon Andreu's diary that Conchita visited Pope Paul VI and some Vatican staff and revealed the date. I wanted to provide some additional documentation on the visit,so here it is: In January of 1966, Conchita was called to Rome by Prefect of the Holy Office (now the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith), Cardinal Alfredo Ottaviani and was interrogated for two and a half hours by the Cardinal and other members of the Holy Office. Although Conchita was experiencing doubts and lapses of memory at the time, which the Virgin had predicted, Conchita later said that during the interrogation everything about the apparitions passed before her eyes, as though “on film.” Cardinal Ottaviani was satisfied and the overall impression made by Conchita was favorable. Afterwards, she asked to see the Pope. Here is Father Joseph Pelletier’s account of that memorable meeting. “She was given an appointment that was later cancelled. Arrangements were made for Conchita to meet a personal representative of the Pope, someone of considerable rank. He told her that the Pope gave her his blessing and with it that of all the Church. Quite unexpectedly, on the following day, the Holy Father himself actually received Conchita and repeated verbally what he had said to her the preceding day through his personal representative. These are incontrovertible facts, which the author is in position to substantiate if need be. What has been affirmed repeatedly and challenged just as often is true: the Pope did say: “I bless you and with me the whole Church blesses you.” -- Our Lady Comes to Garabandal, p. 201 Conchita’s meeting with the Holy Father was a private audience, in the strictest sense of the word, where only two or three persons are present as opposed to a semi-private one where several persons can be in attendance. Conchita was not permitted to divulge what was said during the meeting and has always honored this injunction even until today. She did reveal, however, that while in Rome, she told the date of the Miracle to both Cardinal Ottaviani and the Pope’s personal secretary (no doubt intended for the Pope).
I confirm, many if not all "official documents" are with the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith since years now, as I also said a copy of these documents are with my good Friend Bastiano, the God Father of my last child, over 100 Boxes according to him. Aviso
Thanks Glenn but what do you mean by Fr. Ramon Andreu's diary ? where I can find out this Diary ? thanks again. Aviso
The transubstantiation of our Lord is clearly given as a true teaching by Our Lord Jesus at Capernaum at least a year before Our Lord Instituted the Blessed Sacrament at the first Holy Thursday night! John 6 52 Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” 53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.”59 He said this while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum. Many Disciples Desert Jesus 60 On hearing it, many of his disciples said, “This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?” 61 Aware that his disciples were grumbling about this, Jesus said to them, “Does this offend you? 62 Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before!63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit[a] and life. 64 Yet there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him.65 He went on to say, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them.” 66 From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him. 67 “You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve. 68 Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.69 We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.” Clearly our Lord puts it on the line, His body and blood is trully His body and blood. I have no patience with protestants that don't understand this part of scripture! However I can understand a protestants unbelief, if I tell them that Extra Terrestials, are like men and are tainted by sin and redeemed by Christ just like they are and that they should believe in these aliens as part of our brotherhood in Christ!
Hello Glenn, I'm sorry I didn't press the reply button to your post. Please see my reply to your post, above. Thank you. God bless you and your family. and yes nothing is impossible to God.
A diary is a book of personal notes . I am a little surprised that I have to tell you about these "notes" he put in his diary,I assumed you knew about them. They have been saved and recorded on this site: http://www.stjosephpublications.com/manuscripts_page.htm
Glenn, I am sorry for offending you. I did not mean to do that. Please forgive me. In Christ's Love Bogdan
All is forgiven Bogdan ,I'm not really offended, its just that this site seems to possess quite a few members who strongly disagree with me, and you will find that I am quick to defend myself, and my beliefs,as they relate to Garabandal. I try not to take it to heart ,because most here are "anonymous" in name, and don't have to be accountable, like those of us who use our real picture and real name. Hopefully one day after the Miracle , all here will be friends . God bless.
Glenn exactly where does this quote from Fr Pelletier come from (Book and page number?). He also refers to a Diary of Fr Ramon Andreu ...do you have a copy of that diary (page number?). I have a sort of copy but the web pages are very messy and I cannot find the passage he refers to. I still do not understand on what basis Aviso questions this apparent fact. Do you? Nor do I understand the "cloak and dagger" basis Aviso denies the ET thing at first pass clearly supported by your Caux book and, allegedly, also by the letter of the priest referred to there. If it is disturbing for Aviso to reveal his factual basis for these assertions ... I think we prob need to be disturbed. I think our shoulders are at least as big and as stable as Aviso's. Well yours certainly are Glenn! Otherwise we have to simply rely on Aviso's word if we are to deny the Caux book or Fr Pelletier or Fr Ramon Andreu's Diary. Obviously an objective researcher cannot prefer Aviso's unexplained views purely on trust. His unsupported bona fides cannot compete with these weighty writings if there is a conflict ... no matter how much we would want to .
What do you mean by this apparent fact ? did Conchita confirmed that she gave the Great Miracle date to Rome ? according to my information, of course not but I know that she gave it so where is the source ? I don't find anything in the diary of Father Ramon after a first reading but someone else who has more time can read it back and confirm it, in my opinion there is only one available source. Regarding facts, by experience I can confirm that there is no apparent fact, the best example is the death of Joey Lomangino, this was a fact for years and we saw the result, all these books were sure as well of this fact as many of these books were sure that the last Pope was Pope John Paul II and so on but what is the reality, of course a lost of thousand and thousand of Garabandal's faithful, I would say since the 70's we lost about 80% of our faithful, now I read also, the Great Miracle will be on TV, so I can stay at home on my sofa and Watch in live the Great Miracle from my home, what a non sense, so ET's, Miracle on TV, Conchita might die before her announcement....etc....and what else tomorrow ? none of these facts are indicated in the Books called the Garabandal Bible, check yourself and come back to me, I will not spend more months of my life to debunk and debunk these kind of rumors anymore. This is my opinion, all the seers alive are under obedience, none of them can talk about Garabandal without the agreement of the Bishop of Santander so of the Church, this explain why none of them talk anymore of the Apparitions at least officially. I asked myself Jacinta, she just said no Question, I will Pray for your child and will join you for the Baptism but no Question, end of the story, thank you. Aviso
. Yes it appears she did Aviso. I have finally found the reference in Fr Ramon diary just as Glenn and apparently Fr Pelletier said. (its the 2nd part from Glenn link above.) Did you check it out? So it's hard for people to decide in favour of your "experience" (without further explanation) over the credibility of Fr Ramon writing so close to the time. Are you saying there is reason not to trust this witness and his diary?
