am asking for prayers, am having the whole right lobe of my thyroid removed tomorrow a.m. It is covered with a large mass that is too big to needle biopsy. With prayer all things are possible . . .!
I used to get Fr Rookey to pray for cancer victims including my dad and two other friends one of whom had thyroid cancer. All were healed. He was a Servite priest for 70 years and like Padre Pio was treated very harshly by the Church. Yet, like Padre Pio, humbly submitted always in obedience. He died last year at the age of 97. As you know the Servites are devoted to Our Lady of Sorrows. The miraculous statue of Our Lady of Akita (Church approved) stopped weeping on the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, after weeping 101 times. I will pop across the road just now and say the seven dacades of Sorrow for you infront of our statue of Our Lady of Akita and pray that St Peregrine the cancer saint intercedes for you. I never know if it is right to pray for help from someone who is not officially canonised but I will ask Fr Rookey if he is in heaven to pray for you. He disliked being called the man of miracles while on earth saying that God did all the work, and that he only did the praying. I still have a letter and blessed cloth Fr Rookey sent me. I will hold this cloth as I pray for you on my relic rosary from Garabandal.
Just returned from church having said those prayers as promised and asked Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament to answer them.
you and doctors/medical staff placed in the heart of our Mother of Perpetual help,, feast day tomarrow 6/27... I will keep praying for your recovery as well... peace
You're on my beads... also, my 84 year old mother is having surgery today. The priest will be here any minute. She hasn't been to confession maybe in 50 years.
