    Acts 2:44

    The Fellowship of Believers
43Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles. 44And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common; 45and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need.…

Regarding the sin issue, I was responding to Magdalen's comment that she knows people who are building refuges who are in sin. I'm thinking of habitual, serious sin vs remaining in the state of grace.

I have seen over the years the truth of the statement (St. Louis de Montfort?) that you can persist in saying the rosary or persist in sin, but you can't do both. Mother Mary is "terrible as an army in battle array" in the presence of evil!

Of course we are all sinners, but there is a huge difference between giving ourselves a pass when it comes to sin and immediately repenting in sorrow the minute you realize that you have sinned, just as there is a huge difference between mortal and venial sin.

Kathy's most recent post above is exaclty what my mind told me. When Jesus forgave Mary Magdelene he said, "go and sin no more". I believe she did exactly as the Lord told her and was rewarded with being the first person Jesus appeared to after his reserrection. Did she remain without venial sin? Surely, she did not commit grave sin from that point on. After the warning God will provide the grace for a deep deep conversion away from sin and if/when we comit venial sin our conscience will convict us and we will seek forgiveness immediately and if possible through sacramental confession. This is what living in the Divine Will is all about.

I will also add that in Verne Dagenais' messages from our Lord, He revealed that after the Warning everyone will know the truth that the Catholic Church is the one true Church Jesus established and thus there will be only two camps to live in. The camp within his One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church or the camp of the evil one. There will be no divisions after the Warning on the one true faith. http://www.scribd.com/doc/22505473/God-Speaks-Will-You-Listen

The word catholic literally means "universal," as in "the universal church." It originally was applied to all Christians because we are all part of the universal church in the way that we are all members of the Body of Christ. The Latin word is catholicus, and in Greek it is katholikos, from the Greek phrase meaning "on the whole, according to the whole or in general." The word in English can mean "including a wide variety of things; all-embracing," or "of the Roman Catholic faith," or "relating to the historic doctrine and practice of the Western Church.”

    The Nicene Creed

I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. ……….……….. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

The word Catholic means "Universal" ... All Christian Churches are Catholic....... we belong to the Holy Roman Catholic Church

    God bless

Even though his posts might be brash...in my opinion he speaks from his convictions. Nothing wrong with that. I have a problem with anyone who puts a title after there name. Lack of humility. I won't go into why this thread is wrong in so many ways ...but if Martinez is allowed to write a thread. Mac is allowed to comment. My PERSONAL opinion.

The reason I do not want use John Martinez is because I do not want people to focus on me. I desire that focus is placed on the message. Believe me, I have been in the "Lime Light" and i do not want it. If I offend people I apologize to everyone. I ask for your forgiveness and understanding. All the Honor and Glory must go to God! God bless you all.

Absolutely correct Padraig. The early Church was a community of believers in fellowship.

Ignorance of Holy Scripture is ignorance of Christ (St Jerome).

I don't read the forum on the weekend. Won't make that mistake again :)

Quite seriously though, I feel this is why I was led to this forum. Thank you John, and thanks to all of you good people for being here for one another. When we had a few members dismissed a few weeks ago, most who are thankfully back, I felt like it was important that we stick together. We must. John, I look forward to reading more of your posts. Thank you.

I posted a question a couple weeks ago about what I've been hearing that gentle voice tell me for years, to seek a refuge. Remember, I asked about the home in the North Georgia mountains with a deep well, land to farm, etc. and should I buy it? I've been praying daily, have friends in the holy land right now on a pilgrimage who've been praying for God to answer my question. I think I just received my answer and that's a no, the home in North Georgia is not the refuge for myself and my family, we would be alone there. I'll continue praying and continue working overtime on getting my sinful self right. Just deleted a couple things on my iPhone that have been leading me astray.

God bless all of you, I do not fear, but I do want to prepare and look forward to being in this spiritual battle with good people like all of you and now with John in our midst as well.

    Magdalen Ave Maria!

    1 John 1:8
    Douay-Rheims Bible
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

    Dear Deacon,
You have every right to your titles! Thank you for sharing with us even if we have discussion on some points.

In the above passage, it does not say mortal or venial sin nor does it say that in a couple of thousand years, a community at a refuge will be without sin. Just sayin'. The human condition is what it is. I do not want to sin--recall the words of St. Paul--but, rats, I still fall and so have access to very regular confession. But then if I were not a sinner, I would not need a Savior...

No!! We will all be sinners but in the presence of the Holy Spirit we cannot sin nor play with God as a fool. God gives us the grace to love and to do good to others. When you receive the Holy Eucharist are you in sin? Are you without sin as you read these. Our Lord is simple and good. Is the Holy Father a sinner and yet be the Vicar of Christ? Is he sinless? The Lord is separating the goats from the sheep. Please do not play with words. Jesus appeared to St. Paul (Saul) who was a sinner and responsible for the death of many Christians. Yet, he change the world evangelizing for Jesus Christ. We can be sinners and yet not sin in the Holy presence of God. please do not take away the beauty and love that Our Lady and the Holy Spirit are preparing for us SINNERS!

That makes sense to me. My kids don't sin in front of me or my wife. Did we sin in front of our mom and dad (before we were incorrigible teenagers)? Of course not, it's logical to think if God provided a refuge for us and He's there, we wouldn't sin while there (or we'd get kicked out of the house)

    Dear Deacon,
No one has said anything about playing God as a fool; perish the thought!

When you receive the Holy Eucharist are you in sin?
I am in a state of grace; there is no mortal sin and, of course, our venial sins are cleansed at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. But I still need the sacrament of confession!
Are you without sin as you read these. Sadly, no. But still not mortally.
Our Lord is simple and good. Is the Holy Father a sinner and yet be the Vicar of Christ? Yes, and we saw him publicly go to confession some weeks ago.
    Is he sinless? No.
The Lord is separating the goats from the sheep. Please do not play with words. Do not understand where you are coming from. Not playing here at all.
Jesus appeared to St. Paul (Saul) who was a sinner and responsible for the death of many Christians. Yet, he change the world evangelizing for Jesus Christ. We can be sinners and yet not sin in the Holy presence of God.
Can you say there has been so sin committed in a church? Or that any of us when seeing the scantily dressed woman in front of us might have thoughts that are less than pure? We are surely in the presence of God at Mass or adoration and in the literal sense but still not immune.
please do not take away the beauty and love that Our Lady and the Holy Spirit are preparing for us SINNERS!

I will not belabor the point further but as far as I can accept, that beauty and love is heavenly and while we are in the flesh we are in the valley of tears.

    Ave Maria!

A very Holy old nun one time said to me,

'It's not the falling down , its the getting up again that is important'

I don't know if she knew she was paraphrasing St Paul when he said, 'Freely will I rejoice in my iniquities, for where I am weak , He is strong'. In my opinion one of the most wonderful texts in all of Scripture (but then I am very much a great sinner).

It reminds me of breaking a bone and when it is reset it heals even stronger than it was before. For if we don't fall down, well we can't get up.

I have lived in several religious communities for several years, Our Lord's House and never for a single day in one of them did I not see sin, my own sin amongst them. Some of the sin ,very, very serious indeed.

But there you are, I won't go on about it any more in case I bore people. Just remember we don't declare people saints because they did not sin. We declare them saints because they practised heroic virtues, the two are not the same.

    I'll leave it at that.

Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners – of whom I am the wors1 Timothy 1:15

John, God bless your work. I am wondering something? Is your wife still a non-Catholic Christian? I ask because I talk with a couple of Protestant prophets via the e-mail link they share.

I point out how their messages are speaking of unity of belief coming and of Garabandal's Warning too. They hear it called the "awakening" and sometimes, the "revealing." Right now in their messages, Our Lord keeps repeating "Eat of Me", preparing our brothers and sisters to accept His presence in the Eucharist. They're reply is "no way" except for one whose wife is Catholic.

Does your dear wife see that the Remnant is Roman Catholic? How do you evangelize now to Protestants? Do you speak generally about what is coming because you realize their upbringing and without the EUCHARIST, a major reason for not understanding the Faith?

I try to talk to them because prophecy says some non-Catholic Christians aren't going to believe even after the Warning. Right now, they speak so generally (for all their various beliefs) about Our Lord's return with many thinking Catholicism will be no more!
