Once enrolled always enrolled, I was told. When starting to wear a new one I always pour some holy water on it first.
You can start wearing another one but you have to get the scapular first blessed by a priest. The new blessed scapular does not need to be imposed on you again by a priest because once it has been done it is done for your entire life and also for all the future new scapulars you will buy or get. This is what the carmel priests told us over and over again because some people always come back to undergo the "ceremony" again but this is superfluous. Here in the carmel church we can change the used scapulars into new ones. I myself always stitch the tissue at the place where it is sewed in order to make the cord stronger so it will not get ripped. P.S. Sorry for my bad English. I noticed your question was already answered. Sorry, I am a little bit late.... But I am not always behind my computer....
Oh yes, of course, but do I need to make an appointment with him to get things blessed? My old parish had a blessing for objects after weekday Masses, which made it easy to get things blessed. Here, it is more difficult.
Just take it with you to confession and ask him to bless it after you have been absolved. I find it to be a good time to ask things of the priest!
And even if you do not have the possibility to go to confession, talk directly to the priest or contact him by phone and do not be afraid to ask. You are in your right to make their.... move. Sorry, but one of the tasks of a priest is to bless objects whenever you ask it. That only takes 5 seconds....
So this was awesome. Ever since this attack I have been meaning to get some holy water. My mother has a devout friend who is also clairvoiant and has been her whole life (it is actually very strong in all the women of her family as well as her 4 daughters) who urged me to get some ASAP to bless the children with one drop before bed each night. So I have been meaning to do this for some time but did not know when I would get around to stopping at a Catholic bookstore and getting the proper container for the Holy Water and then stopping into a church that had Holy Water for distribution in larger quantities. I was actually just thinking this morning about when I could get this done. At lunch I went to my week day church as I call it becasue they have adoration all day on Wednesday and when I get the time in my schedule it is nice to go. As soon as I walked through the door, there in the basket in front of me was one bottle of Holy Water all ready to go. This was awesome!! I am starting to love this basket!!! This was the basket that gave me the much needed scapular I was looking for over the summer. The story of the scapular for me can be seen here. I still just love the small miracles from Heaven!! http://motheofgod.com/threads/our-small-miracles-to-share.5182/
An atheist friend of mine had a similar attack by a dark form above his bed at this hour. It let him know non-verbally that it hated him and meant him harm. Only calling the name "Jesus" to mind made the oppression seem to fly into outer space. His mother later told him that she had a similar experience while pregnant with him. This man became a Baptist preacher and eventually a Catholic convert and speaker for youth groups. I guess stan wouldn't bother you if you were not a threat...
Hi I'm a Third Order Carmelite and no, you do not need to be re-enrolled. Go ahead and start wearing one again. I make my own out of brown wool and cord, and sew on a crucifix and a few holy metals on the back. Demons can see your scapular and are afraid of it so wear it always
Clairvoyant literally means “clear-sighted” in French, and for nearly 200 years that is what it meant in English as well. It wasn’t until the mid-19th century that it took on the meaning of “having psychic gifts” or “seeing beyond” that it carries today.
I had a very similar attack in 2001 at 3 am that my guardian angel flung out into outer space as I watched. I woke up to evil growling and a black shadow form holding me down in bed. Spirit Daily posted my experience of it on their site in a story about Angels a few years ago. Seems to be a pretty common occurrence. It was during my 6 month preparation to make my promises in 3rd Order Carmelites, and have worn my scapular ever since!
I will tell you one interesting thing I noticed about the devil and Holy Water which I noticed down the years. I usually get attacked through a dark dream about being on my own in a big derelict old house. When I sprinkle the Holy Water round my bedroom it does not come. However I noticed a few times if I did not sprinkle the hallway or living room I often got a dream about a mad party in my living room, demons would come from my living room and make loud noises right at my bedroom door but never enter. So I took from this partial sprinkling gives partial protection. The demons could only come so far, whereas if I did the whole place it stopped entirely. Blessed salt is best of all as it is long lasting. But getting a priest to bless salt can be a problem...it raises eye brows and causes questions. Get an old priest to do this (the young ones ask too many questions) in confession and use a respectable container for the salt, I use a china tub.
In that dream are you aware of something behind a door and petrified to open it???? is the house an old victorian style with stain glass windows and a staircase to an attic which also has a bad feeling in it...
Why yes John it is old Victorian or Edwardian with a large sweeping garden , lawn with mature trees. I cannot say about stain glass as it is night time..always. Yes it is particulary bad in the attic. Not so much behind doors as brooding in differing parts of the house....sometimes with a large rythmic booming. I cannot say it scares me so much as it used too. We have become almost old friends.well aquaintances anyway.
A bit like this. But lower to the ground, larger area more spread out. Also the top of the roof slopes at an angle on ALL sides. . I have never seen a house quite like it. Very rambling. Stephen King would LOVE it.
