Does it matter any more? Biden was bad, Trump is no better. Even most of the so-called conservatives seem just as wicked as the progressives. We cannot put our Faith in princes. As Padraig pointed out, much more has been written on the promised Great King, but it’s the Angelic Pope that the world needs most of all.
Would God not work through the prophesied great King? If so why not through other world leaders. Who is of so clear discernment that they can determine this with absolute certainty? Is God working through Bukele? Is he just a prince we are warned about? And when I see socialism/communism falling I will take it as a gift from God. And for much of Latin America it is falling.
Of course, you’re right. There can be good leaders, through their own personal goodness. My moniker is based on one. But, it’s not easy to avoid a feeling of the glass being half empty at present. We have a right nest of vipers in charge in most countries and the alternatives don’t inspire very much. I still believe that no matter how good will be the Great King, the Angelic Pope, via his office, will exceed him. But, bring ‘em on!
Flávio Bolsonaro follows more or less the same model of selling out national interests to the United States that we see in Argentina under Javier Milei. In Brazil’s case, this could include handing over access to our rare earth elements and other critical mineral resources to the United States. He also carries the added baggage of his father’s disastrous, irresponsible, and denialist handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. I believe Brazil has a serious problem with idolizing extremists and populists of the worst kind, both on the right and on the left.
You will never get a perfect government. However, socialism and communism have a proven track record of creating hell on earth with no benefit. The amount of blessings which have come out of the US are uncountable. She just has to remember her unconquerable spirit.
We may not have a perfect government, but I believe Bolsonaro is light-years away from what a reasonable government should look like. His son will probably flee to the United States while stoking a fire here in Brazil. After all, his brother, Eduardo Bolsonaro, even called for American military intervention in Brazil a few months ago, although I doubt he would be willing to fight in a war for even a single minute. I can say that Bolsonarism has destroyed the chances of a serious right-wing movement emerging here in Brazil. Our country has a serious problem with idolizing populists of all stripes, both on the right and on the left.
I am at the point in my life and walk with God that I find it very hard to vote for anyone anymore except local elections. I don't trust any of these puppets and the uniparty is quite real in my country. All are bought and paid for and are used against the people in a controlled opposition. That and who can trust elections anyway. Cheating is so rampant in the US. Only civilized democracy where in many states you don't have to show ID to vote. So criminal of an activity. Our vote in the states used to be a sacred right and many died to have and defend that right but it has been destroyed by whomever pulls the strings of all these puppets. Hard to be a man of God and vote for these people in my mind.
I don't know I am starting to question Democracy itself. Maybe Kings were better. Maybe there is no answer. The Church preached something called Subsidiarity. Trying to keep Government as local as possible. Seems wise.
Les Femme the Truth has a very informative post on their blog today. That we pray and sacrifice but not be blind to what is going on. If you get a chance read it.
Just saw a post on X about the prophecy given by Our Lady of Cimbres in Brazil. It claims Brazil would become communist if it did not repent. Some are claiming the prophecy has now been fulfilled. I don't know enough about Brazil or this prophecy to say anything either way. I am guessing you already heard of it.
Hmmmm... This is exactly what Our Lady recommended at Our Lady of Cimbres and I posted just after you did. The timing is too perfect. Devotion to the sacred and immaculate hearts are recommended as well.
I read a book about ten or twelve years ago by a Catholic member of the old Austrian-Hungarian nobility, Erik von Kuhnelt-Leddin, ‘Freedom or Equality-The Struggle of Our Time’. His primary thesis was that democracy is an unmitigated disaster, because of its ease of manipulation and pseudo-‘sacred’ authority-note how popular the term was and is in communist countries and how the genocidal Israeli state uses it for justification. The author says that one has a far greater chance of a good dictator than a successful democracy. The Athenians invented it in Classical times and quickly suppressed it, realising how easily it was for Demagogues to be the puppet-masters of the Demos, at the expense of the Common Good.
All Western liberal societies are essentially communist, as Augusto del Noce predicted over half a century ago. They are societies where the State, in lock-step with corporate multinationalism is becoming all-powerful at the expense of real capitalism and all institutions which challenge the power of this alliance. The family is now the last stand, religion having lamely bitten the dust. In this infernal alliance, the left and the right just play games, they’re both working towards the same end-complete Statism, aka absolutist communism. That’s what I’m coming to think, at any rate.
There is this thing where if people aren't allowing themselves to be filled with light, they allow themselves and their communities to be filled with darkness. In Italy, people from all around the world come to see these massive churches and do everything but pray in them for the vast majority. It disgusts me how our faith is a tourist attraction. I honestly dreaded coming to Florence because I knew it would be like this. So darkness takes hold and the people love it. I fully expect the destruction of many famous churches in Italy to happen. And it is Muslim Arabs who keep everything running for the tourists. I get up early before the tourists wake up and it's them working getting everything ready for the day.
I have known this prophecy for years, but I think it could refer to a communist counterrevolution in response to a military coup carried out by right-wing factions within the armed forces, similar to what happened in 1964. If we consider communism in terms of its errors, it is worth remembering that abortion remains illegal in Brazil, despite the fact that the country has had four not consecutive Workers’ Party (PT) administrations. The majority of the population also believes in God, although religious syncretism between Spiritism and Catholicism is widespread. This is part of what I would consider a broader pattern of apostasy that has spread throughout the world since the Second Vatican Council. In recent months, I have noticed a strong revival of the Catholic faith, driven primarily by prominent figures in Catholic televangelism, such as Frei Gilson Azevedo and Sister Kelly Patrícia of the Hesed Institute. Praying the Rosary has become incredibly popular in recent months, even under Lula’s pro-socialist government. Whatever lies ahead, I still trust that this revival will bear much fruit and overcome whatever evil may be lurking in the shadows, whatever form it may take.
