Absolutely. I have been stocking up for years like a doomsday prepper. No clue why other than I feel like God told me too. Whenever I do, I just say these are yours to do with whatever you want. I have gathered rosaries, bibles, blessed candles, exorcised salt, oils and holy waters, spiritual books, pictures and even church books to be able to say the mass if it is ever gone. Again, I don't really look for these things to purchase, they just pop up sometimes. Like I will here someone on catholic radio talking about home blessing kits and then I get the urge to search for them and find wonderful small business Catholics selling these things and not selling them by set price more like giving them out and asking for a donation or to cover postage. So I tend to then buy maybe 10 home blessing kits and give them more than what they cost them to help them out in their work. Then I give some things away or keep them because feel inclined to do so for the only reason I can think of is because the Holy Spirit wants me to. But it does always feel nice coming home. The house just feels so extra protected lol.
I could have written this post. We have quite the stash as well! Several drawers devoted to such items. And I've given quite a bit away, mostly to family. I think the urge to collect all these items began in 2020. I noticed a huge surge in interest at that time, from many Catholics.
I was on a retreat in a monastery a few years ago and became friendly with the sacristan monk. I asked if he had any used pascal candles and he gave me 6. Most had only been lit a few hours.
I saw somewhere that there was the biggest tornado ever recorded came down. When I hear the word historical as regards events I always take it as a sign.
Apparently, Putin is more moderate than many in his administration. I read that the military, Lavrov and Medvedev are pushing strongly for more powerful push-back. There was also a plausible report from Romania that British fighter-jets shot down Russian drones over Western Ukraine, although perfidious Albion rushed to make denials. If true, the latter would have been a direct act of war on Russia by the British. Simultaneously, there are multiple attacks on Russian ships by various NATO countries on the high seas. Russian patience will run out and it’s hard to blame them.
