Today, I was suddenly inspired to draw a rose and Mary filled my mind and consumed me. I went and grabbed some colored pencils and paper from the local store. From there I looked at a couple of drawings tutorials as I've never drawn anything really and went for it. Below is the result. She's trying to tell me something, but I'm not quite sure what yet. Either way I wanted to share as I'm currently on the verge of tears, and I don't know why. Hail Mary full of Grace the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. AMEN!
Definitely the rose is a sign from Our Lady. May you find out soon what she is saying. Your rose is lovely.
Our Lady holds a special place in my heart, not to neglect my love for Therese and Thomas the Apostle. Geralyn and I visited the Cloisters Art Museum in NYC this past weekend. The Middle Ages art present there is amazing and triggers the realization that a Catholic culture truly ruled Europe prior to the Protestant Revolt. I had to smile when I saw this beautiful and colorful depiction of the Annunciation: Mary is so engrossed "in the Scriptures" that it appears that Gabriel must wait to capture her attention! One of a number of such beautiful paintings and sculptures there present! Anyway, I sent a picture of this to my niece (the oldest of 12 grandchildren) Dairinne, who like her Mom loves to be absorbed in books! https://aleteia.org/2019/02/03/4-of...f-christian-art-in-the-cloisters-in-new-york/
