Matthew 12 deals with a lot of this. Jesus points to his followers and calls them His mother and brothers. Then says those who do the will of His Father are His mother, brothers and sisters. Prior to this statement Jesus lays out the conditions for doing the will of the Father and how judgement will be meted out. Throughout the Gospels the ones Jesus praises the most are those who have faith. Faith could be said to be freewill.
What a great homily. Our understanding of the Jewish religion is modern. It was fabricated after WW 2 and if you don't believe this new history you're anti-Semitic. Our understanding of Judaism should be formed 1st by Jesus' words, then his apostles and disciples, and then the early Church fathers whom they taught. They all agree. It's a much different understanding than our modernist views.
This is true. It is as if we all got Lost in Space somewhere along the line. As though calling a Spade a Spade is now regarded as an awful thing to do. As though being nice is the be all and end all. I remember one time the late Father Groechel saying living with Jesus and Mary would have been very difficult. If we were to go back in a Time Machine to meet and talk to Jesus face to face would have been wonderful. But also kinda scary. I think the Jesus we meet is wonderful but I never ever thought of Jesus or Our Blessed Lady as being nice. Nice is an awful word. But so much of what we are taught as Catholics these days is all about being nice.
The truth is often painful and we don't associate pain with being nice. Sam Shamoun explains how Muslims worship ba'al in this video, which must be absolutely painful for Muslims to discover, but is entirely kind and loving. Meanwhile in our church we have dialogue because it is nice. Nice doesn't save souls. A modern day definition of nice would be something along the lines of allowing people to rest in their ignorance. I love how the internet is bypassing the political correctness of being nice.
The truth is difficult, which is why the pilgrim path of prayer can be so hard at times. It is as if God forces us to look at ourselves in a mirror.
I see they are still butchering people like crazy in Gaza. A Doctor, a woman, was working in her hospital last night when two of her children were brought in , burnt to death. Her husband, also a Doctor and another of their children were seriously injured. Prayers. May God forgive the people who do these things. Two and a half million souls being starved to death. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cx2ekv9ez43o
Apparently with the full support of the majority of Jewish Israeli people as the survey below shows. The video is fascinating also as it goes into the spiritual/religious beliefs behind their view of the Palestinians. It’s all a spiritual battle at the end of the day. About 12 minutes long.
The sacrifice of children in honor of Moloch is known in their community. Just remember the bloody mattresses in NY last year, dozens of books have been written about it for various communities, and for centuries Simon of Trent was known to have been tortured and sacrificed. In 1965 he was withdrawn from the Catholic calendar when major changes occurred during the Second Vatican Council... Why am I writing this? Namely, in 1933, 4000 years of Jewish history were celebrated in the USA named "the romance of the people", where over 120,000 people participated, including over 6000 actors. This scene shows the worship of Moloch and the sacrifice of a child. They usually justify it as part of Jewish history when they deviated from the path...However, why would anyone build a 27 feet (8.5 m) high statue of a demon and show the very part where thousands of actors and the audience participate in the sacrifice of a child, which is pure ritual. Youtube cut the scene where the child is thrown into the demon statue that was in that "performance", and deleted all the older comments. These are official recordings and we are talking about the period before ww2. Short clip, about minute and a half. This short clip shows the child being thrown into the demon itself as a sacrifice that was cut out. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/EayCpYsODTs Here full uncut https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/...people-at-kingsbridge-news-footage/1063807202
They have nuclear weapons. One US senator not satiated with the blood of tens of thousands of Palestinians can't wait for them to starve to death and now wants to nuke all 2 million of them. He said aloud what evidently the vast majority are thinking, otherwise it would have been stopped long before now. When Netanyahu refers to the Old Testament as "our Bible", he's not addressing Jews. He's addressing WASPs and their Catholics for Genocide allies. The famine in Ireland was at its worst in 1847/48 when the British empire was at its peak. Within 100 years (1947/48) the empire lost India, the jewel in the crown. Actions have consequences and major events tend to happen faster in these days of mass communications.
This has cost Gary Lineker his job at the BBC. https://youtube.com/shorts/Ag-tHBRCinc?si=axJghtwgOLj1qe2C
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c0eq9lq7xr1o Israeli strike kills nine of Gaza doctor's children, hospital says An Israeli air strike on Gaza hit the home of a doctor and killed nine of her 10 children, the hospital where she works in the city of Khan Younis says. Nasser hospital said one of Dr Alaa al-Najjar's children and her husband were injured, but survived. Graeme Groom, a British surgeon working in the hospital who operated on her surviving 11-year-old boy, told the BBC it was "unbearably cruel" that his mother, who spent years caring for children as a paediatrician, could lose almost all her own in a single missile strike. Israel's military said its aircraft had struck "a number of suspects" in Khan Younis on Friday, and "the claim regarding harm to uninvolved civilians is under review". A video shared by the director of the Hamas-run health ministry and verified by the BBC showed small burned bodies lifted from the rubble of a strike in Khan Younis. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said its "aircraft struck a number of suspects who were identified operating from a structure adjacent to IDF troops in the area of Khan Younis". "The Khan Younis area is a dangerous war zone. Before beginning operations there, the IDF evacuated civilians from this area for their own safety," the Israeli military said. In a general statement on Saturday, the IDF said it had struck more than 100 targets across Gaza over the past day. The health ministry said at least 74 people had been killed by the Israeli military over the 24 hour-period leading up to about midday on Saturday. Dr Muneer Alboursh, director of the health ministry, said on X that the al-Najjars' family house was hit minutes after Dr al-Najjar's husband Hamdi had returned home after driving his wife to work. Dr Alboursh said the eldest of Dr al-Najjar's children was aged 12.
I cant bear this. It's unspeakable. The whole world is going to turn against the Jews. This MUST STOP. Dear Jesus have mercy on these poor afflicted children in your own land. It's the bloodiness of the Roman's all over again. Or the Nazis. How can they justify this? How can we all sit by and let it happen?
16 Then Herod, when he saw that he had been tricked by the wise men, became furious, and he sent and killed all the male children in Bethlehem and in all that region who were two years old or under, according to the time that he had ascertained from the wise men. 17 Then was fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Jeremiah: 18 “A voice was heard in Ramah, weeping and loud lamentation, Rachel weeping for her children; she refused to be comforted, because they are no more.”
What I find baffling is that the loudest voices against the genocide are Jews outside Israel and they are being ignored. I watched an interview with Norman Finkelstein who said the genocide isn't an Israeli government project but an Israeli national project because everyone in Israel knows what's happening and 95% of them support it. From the little I know about Norman Finkelstein, I reckon that I would see eye to eye with him on very little other than this but my heart went out to him because he's clearly distraught at what's happening. My own view is that the greatest guilt lies with the Christian Zionists supporting this slaughter. They are causing Christianity to be a dirty word in parts of the world where many millions of people have yet to be evangelised. Neither are the rest of the world blameless. Instead of a coalition of the willing rushing to the aid of the Palestinians, all we see is a coalition of the unwilling to stop it while blabbering about proposals to talk about talks of sanctions. Perhaps it's finally dawning on them that in a multi-polar world a day of reckoning could come for all those who gave military, intelligence, financial or other covert support to the genocide. A Hague type court can be instituted in any part of the world where the usual suspects won't be the controlling power.
It makes me saddest of all when Catholics support all this. I can kind of understand when Evangelical Christians support it because, lets face it, they believe in all kinds of nutty things; but not Catholics. Catholics should know better..
