This is how it looks to myself as well. Trump puts fierce people in positions where they need to be, but he holds the leash.
did Kash Patel get the FBI director position? Just looked into it, allegedly once Wray steps aside the position is being given to Patel.
And Tulsi Gabbard has seemed impressive, and very much her own woman, for quite a while. I should know better at my age than to be saying so, but she's not too hard on the eyes, either!
I am reading a lot of material that consistently makes the point that the US military is perfectly suited for warfare as it was in 1990. She has ten massive aircraft carriers, but these are now highly vulnerable to hypersonic missiles; not to mention that they are of little use in a continental land conflict. Also, the aircraft being carried are considered outdated by the newer Russian ones. Then, we had the incident recently in which the only refueling tanker of the Mediterrnean carrier group ran aground. Doesn't seem the way to run a navy and, indeed, they are having considerable difficulty coping with the Houtis.
She is first rate! I've admired her for a long time. What i especially like is her anti war stance. She got in trouble with Obama and company because she challenged him on our foreign adventures.
No. This evil decision will go down in infamy, if there remains a world for such things. All in the face of overtures for peace. Hitler in his bunker. Surely, the most evil government that ever ran a country. I would in fact be more expectant of yet another humiliation for the United States. Russia might well have the ability to intercept these missiles. If this is the case, I hope Putin grabs every cent of wealth that the United States has appropriated in the Ukraine, especially the reputed 11 trillion dollars worth held by this Blackrock Corporation. The West is well-deserving of Chastisement. Our Lord and Our Lady have given us enough warnings...but to no avail.
I can't get over it. They passed this poisoned chalice for months, because of the risks involved. Then, the people spoke, Trump won the Presidency convincingly, popular vote and all. The Republicans won the Senate and the House. Now, these self-proclaimed champions of democracy reject their own people and throw the fate of the world onto a roulette wheel. Our only hope is that Putin and his administration seem sane.
As I said on election day, Trump's victory was too easy and there must be a reason why they didn't cheat. They didn't even want to because their goal is a complete escalation of the conflict. In contrast to Europe, where the president assumes the role literally in a couple of days, in the USA the process takes almost 3 months. Until then, they have time to escalate the conflict to the point of no return. If a single shell falls on Moscow that will kill the Russians, then it will get nasty, and I don't mean that only for us in Europe. In these conditions, I'm not sure that Trump will even take over the presidency, in the end maybe that was the goal.
Yes. Like Hitler in his bunker, they seem willing to take everyone with them, rather than concede power. I have expressed several times here, over the years, my incomprehension that the United States does not feature in the many Church-approved prophecies of the invasion, by Russia, of Europe. Let us pray for the ordinary people of the United States, most who have shown themselves opposed to this evil insanity and for most of the rest who are merely stupid and gullible, that they be spared from the worst possibility that this absence suggests. May the Lord God have mercy on us all.
Ha ha! Thank you very much, but no thanks. Damned if we do and damned if we don't. A Hobson's choice. The Reason for Chastisement or the Chastisement itself. Well, the world can't complain that it didn't deserve this, if the worst comes to the worst. A very dangerous moment. Yet, my wife doesn't seem to realise this, despite my expressing my worries. Am I simply over-estimating the danger?
I think they are possibly trying to goad Putin into a response before inauguration day. I am certain Putin understands this, as he and Trump have spoken with each other, with Trump calling for temperance. Trump probably made an excellent deal with him if he holds off for the time being.
It's the arrogance of it that really angers me. Someone from an utterly rejected party has taken it upon himself to make one of the most dangerous military-political decisions imaginable, hiding behind a President in the throes of dementia, in a war that cannot be won.
