I'm only seeing this prayer request now. I did pray at Mass this evening for the prayer intentions on the forum but will say some extra prayers for Vinny and his dad. I usually go to Sunday Mass in the church where Matt Talbot attended Mass on the day he died.
Sam,just to let you know that I did light a candle for Vinny after Mass last Sunday. There's no shrine to Mstt but his picture is hanging on the wall beside the door where he would enter the church for morning Mass. There's actually a notice on the door saying so. I was wrong about that Matt having attended Mass there on the day he died. He was actually on his way to Mass there and died just around the corner. St. Joseph's statue is very close to Matt's picture and there are candles in front of St. Joseph. I was lighting a candle to St. Joseph for Purple Flower so lit Vinny's candle there and asked for the intercession of Matt and St. Joseph. It might be a while before I'll be able to get to Mass there again but when I can I won't forget Vinny.
Thank you so much for that! Thanks to everyone for their prayers! Vinny has been doing well, back to work and is happy{as is every alcoholic who stops drinking, they are always happy  } Praying as always for all forum members!
Oh sigh, Vinny has started up drinking again. I am just heartbroken. Please can I ask for prayers again..
