The British Government has launched a campaign urging people to stock up with three days supplies of food and water and odds and ends like a wi d up radio and candles

I am just curious: anyone from another country. is your own Government urging it's citizens to do this,

It surprises me that the government cares that much about its citizens to put a warning out. Unless it’s a scare tactic. Nothing from Trudeau yet.

3 days worth of water in the UK, doesn't the UK get rainfall most days?

Here in the mid-Atlantic state of Maryland, we are always being warned like this publicly during hurricane season, June 1 to November 1.
    Often……

Same here in Florida. Are they expecting weather problems for England?

If the electric fails, the water fails. I think most people don't have water storage.

I would guess they are taking their warnings from their Intelligence agencies.

They have a thing in Britain called, 'D notices', which are issued by the Government asking the media to stop stories. I suspect such censorship was used here because they asked no questions.

    It just makes me curious.

I think some governments on the Continent were advising people to stock up last year. I remember Survival Lily posting a video about it. Lily is in Austria. As far as I can remember, they were urging people to have enough stocks for a number of weeks and not just for three days but that could have been because they wanted people to be prepared for harsh winter conditions if energy supplies were interrupted.

Why would you need a wind-up radio for a three day emergency? I didn't know there was such a thing. Why not a battery operated radio?

I think things like Nukes when they detonate, especially at height elite a thing called EMP, electro magnetic pulse which burns electronic circuits in things vCard like TV's computers, cars and radios I don't think and up radios we could be effected. Also cars and planes won't work. A wind up radio would.

The three days would give time for those who have been irradiated to die.So that they will not be wandering about poisoning everyone else.

Death from radioactive poisoning is about the worst death known to man.In a nuclear strike the very best thing that could happen would be to be burnt to a crisp at once.

I asked someone one time what would be the thing we would miss most in an emergency?

He gave me a simple but surprising answer.

    Toilet paper.

I once read that the Russian strategy for nuclear attacks on the USA would be to fire its warheads at several strategic central points in the USA that would make it difficult for American troops to move within their own territory and beyond the borders to help their allies. In this case, I believe that Europe would receive the part that "the living will envy the dead", which would be an electromagnetic pulse attack.

People on American prepper channels often mention EMP attacks. I think they have metal boxes for storing small electronic devices. Some of them seem to know what they're talking about so maybe EMPs can't penetrate metal. I don't recall what kind of metal the boxes are made of. Pardon my ignorance but, if an EMP can disable the grid and fry electronic devices, how would radio messages be transmitted? Maybe they could use satellites to send the message but would a wind up radio have satellite reception?

It sounds to me that they reckon it would take them three days to restore the grid. I wouldn't fancy living near the top of one of those tower blocks in England and having to rush to the shop for a tin of beans. There'd be none left by the time I reached the shop and it would take the rest of the three days for me to climb back up the stairs.

    Nothing here in Italy.

Maybe it's more solarflare related. A CME could cause a massive blackout to the electrical grid.

I’m sure this book has been mentioned before but a very good read on what could happen after an EMP is the book - One Second After. And the most crucial thing was Salt. Without it the body will not function. I’m the book it wasn’t water or food that caused the major battle in the book it was the salt as the principle town was located on a salt mine.

    I found a news report on this warning. Here's a link: https://news.sky.com/story/britons-...inned-food-and-water-government-says-13141114
They say it's advice on being prepared for any kind of emergency. They recommend a minimum of three litres of drinking water per person per day but ten litres would be better. I don't know anyone who knows anyone who drinks three litres of water per day. They say its for drinking, cooking and sanitation but why say drinking water when a bucket of river water would do for washing or flushing the toilet?

They're going to have a "tier one" pandemic exercise next summer so it looks like they don't expect armageddon to happen this year.

I believe that war is coming, probably after the June EU elections for Europeans and after the Presidential elections for Americans. According to the guy on the Military Summary channel, the early warning systems for incoming nuclear attacks in Russia that the Ukrainians have been targeting, most likely with UK and US help, don't cover Ukrainian territory. They cover Russia and Iran, which suggests that NATO intends using nukes to attack Russia and/or Iran.

Keeping ourselves in a state of grace and praying for peace is our best preparation
