This is an excellent summary of where I think we’re at in history regarding Catholic prophecy. Both these commentators are old acquaintances of mine who I’ve discussed this stuff with for many years, mostly online. They too have both discussed all this extensively with Desmond Birch, as all of us were in the same small discussion group for several years. Definitely worth a listen.

Just wondering. We are told that the Mystical body of Christ will follow Jesus into the tomb, and be resurrected to new life, as Jesus was. Could it be that when the new order of Mass said to be in the works which will no longer be valid, allow the antiChrist it's moment. Could the valid Mass be what holds back the antiChrist ? When we remember at the time Jesus died on the Cross, the sky went dark and there was an earthquake. Could it be I wonder if when the Holy Mass is no longer valid, could that be the moment the Mystical Body of Christ suffers a mystical death. As happened when Jesus died but now a darkness (of three days) could follow when all hell breaks loose on earth and we are told to stay inside with windows and doors covered and closed. Just wondering.
It is very very possible. When the Holy Sacrifice ceases there is nothing to hold back God's wrath. What a horrific chastisement.
Recall the 1290 days prophesied in the Book of Daniel, when the perpetual sacrifice would be suppressed. Alphonsus Liguori stated this would occur with the rise of the AntiChrist. The direction the Church has taken to diminish doctrinal clarity must be a prelude of what will soon occur. Let us receive, treasure, and worship the supreme gift of the Holy Eucharist while it is available!
Historically the most common thought by Catholics was that it is the presence of the Pope on earth that is holding back the antichrist. When the Church no longer has a Pope, the door is open. Will the Church become "Synodal" to the extreeme and reject having a Pope? Will the next conclave elect to not elect a Pope?
Yes, it could be that the papacy is the katechon. Pope Benedict, who was validly elected as far as I can see, died on 31 December 2022. This year, the world seems to be falling into an abyss. That said, your thinking could be spot on. The end-result would be similar.
