Could they talk about ecumenism as a subject less thorny than war? Perhaps they could debate unifying the dates of Easter or commemorating the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea in the midst of the coming Jubilee?
Now imagine if Pope Francis was able to meet and talk with Patriarch Kirill on the first trip to Moscow and get his objective, the next question is would he still take the very long stressful trip to Mongolia with his ailing body or just go back to the Vatican with a good excuse to the press
What I find curious in all this debate is. Does anyone ever remember it being said that the content of the Third Secret of Fatima was sent to three countries back many years ago. The countries named were Russia, America and England. I can't remember who the heads of state were at the time; but I do remember the person in England who got the message was a man called McMillan. Anyone can look up the details of who McMillan was at the time of his government position. This was reported before Putin's time in office; but I expect whoever got the message archived it thinking it was a load of nonsense. But it is all happening before their eyes. Must go, getting ready for another surgical procedure today to keep the kidneys working. God save all here.
God bless you Julia. Prayers for you today for successful surgical procedure. Was it Harold McMillan?(former prime minister?)
Who knows. But I wish they both would come to the same conclusion: Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity. He was born a man, suffered, died for our sins, resurrected and is now in Heaven seated next to his Father. At His name ALL knees should bend. And finally, they agree that He is love and if we somehow could follow after him by picking up our crosses we are saved. But… I very much doubt that will be discussed. But, yet, I pray for both of these men that they discern well. Peace.
Is it to playdown the notion of prophecy being fulfilled? I mean, if the pope were to undertake a full-blown, all-out state visit to Moscow then people would chatter. People might ask about the visit being related to catholic prophecy and prediction. This would bring such notions into focus. But, a quick stopover in Moscow? Well, they'll say, its not really "a visit" to Moscow. It's just a stopover.. move on. No big deal!
All speculation. We will only know after the fact if this even fulfills it. Just like people can't agree on if consecration has been done this may become the new debate if pope stops in russia and then nothing happens afterwards. I know we're all curious but really no point in guessing.
They're so sleezy this crowd, they will never take a straight road when a bendy road offers. I would not like to buy a motor car of them. Who knows what contortions they are pulling. They could teach Lucifer, the Father of Lies, a trick or two. I would guess a lot of what they do involves pride and not looking bad. So if Moscow gives them the big thumbs down they can say we only asked because we were passing through anyway.
Looking at the schedule there's very little time for a meeting, if at all (note the time differences): https://www.vatican.va/content/francesco/en/travels/2023/outside/documents/mongolia-2023.html
Interesting. Thanks for posting. Now that the Consecration has been done, maybe World War III or the worst of the Chastisement can be avoided. I believe that's Glenn's position also, that WWIII won't happen, but there will be various Regional Conflicts, including, obviously in Europe, which St. Padre Pio spoke of as well.
