Keep your eyes on Jesus. This is going to get a lot worse. I find everything now so deceitful and twisted its better to look away from it and pray especially for the clergy.

The intention is precisely to escape from this clarity of Catholic teaching that Christ asked for, in the post-synodal exhortation Pope Francis will not need to say "yes" or "no" to homosexuality and sacrilegious liturgies; he will only need to say yes to church decentralization and a few local churches "will do the job".

In the video posted in the Good Jesuit thread, Father MacTeigue makes this point. Paraphrasing here, but he says that so many many people have not matured beyond the level of a 15 yr old, and they are still clamouring for a seat at the "cool kids' table" in the high school lunchroom.

The "crew" running the synod all seem to be of that mindset, imho. Whatever keeps them at that "table" is all that counts....sad...

Such a good observation. I see this in other scenarios with people I know. They want to be with it--with the cool kids. So they accept "trendy" ideas that are absolutely opposed to their faith. And they rationalize. And there is no breaking through it. Has it always been like this or is this a new thing?

I've been noticing it alot myself, all around. Church, politics, you name it. I know thru the years, I've also been guilty of it.

That said, imo, if Faith is strong, then one matures by growing in the Faith. Only then, can one stand on their own two feet without feeling the need to be validated or justified, in anything really. And with the humility that comes with that Faith, one can always count on others to correct errors, in complete charity. So much of that is missing now......

a possible schism starting just 3 days before the 10th anniversary of the current pontificate.

The listening Synodal Church that listens to everyone except the faithful also fails to hear the voice of the Master.

They ignore the words of Christ the way, the truth and the life.

The German actions shows us the reality of the synodal way - that it is merely a trojan's horse to change church teaching.

And with PF sitting on the saddle of the horse, we are left with an impotent leader whose legacy is the protestantization of the Catholic Church.

    Sackcloth and ashes required.

The German bishops supported the text by 38 votes in favor, 9 against, and 11 abstentions.

Only 9 out of 58 German bishops voted against this diabolical plan.

As the grace of God drains further from the church - I fear the world is going to go into a tailspin - we face very hard times -- soon

Russia will be the means by which God will punish Germany.

perhaps today's date is a milestone in the end-times prophetic timeline that leads us to the chastisement described in the third secret of Fatima.

You mean because tomorrow it will be exactly three years since the WHO declared the pandemic?

interesting; I had not noticed this coincidence, in fact I imagined that the current date is a milestone for being the initial fissure of a schism in the Church.

I'm sorry, then I missed the significance of the date - or is it because of the vote of the German Bishops?

The Church in Germany is now in schism rejecting the faith and morals of 2000 years of Catholic christianity -

This part of the Fatima revelation now makes complete sense -
'In Portugal, the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved'

Is the Church in Germany now in informal schism or formal schism?

Pope Francis - over to you.

Will the silence be deafening or will you shock us all by showing true leadership?

The scandal caused by the German bishops is incalculable in spiritual terms - in reality many souls will be lost
